"The amount of times of driving by Lulus and not going in could be regrettable. Today I finally went I , I order a breakfast burrito and a cold brew horchata. Let me say it was delicious and reminded me of home. I have not found a place that can even compare to burritos in New Mexico but this is one of them! If you are near by I recommend just going and trying it. The service was excellent and efficient. The staff are super kind and welcoming, and even are willing to help you decide what you would like to get. The ambiance is great too, I brought my computer to get something's done and it was a productive morning. Highly would recommend the breakfast burrito and the caramel cold brew horchata. Amazing place!"
"My husband and I are fans of this place... for what it's meant to be: a food truck, family owned/operated, in South Phoenix, serving typical mexican dishes, but mostly known for their Birria, it is pretty good. ALL of the clientele is local Mexican families ....and all your utensils are cheap plastic.. parking is a dirt lot... the plastic tables may have some flies abuzzing around.. cash only... Spanish only... but their Birria is damn good and all their toppings (cilantro, onions, home made corn tortillas) are tasty and look fresh/clean.The two guys that take your order are welcoming, quick, and get the job done. The food comes out quick, hot, and tasty.... never had a complaint about the food being too much bones or too much fat or not enough this or that... and even better, I've never gotten sick from eating here! That's gotta mean something, right?oh yeah, had their huevos rancheros and their avocado was fresh and their beans were yummy... okay, I'm ready to eat this again...."

"I had a pretty wowing experience here. I can't wait to return and explore the menu more ! We did make reservations and were promptly seated. Service was amazing as expected courtesy, timely, and helpful. We placed our drink order and within a few minutes our perfect crafted cocktails were brought to the table. While looking over the menu and decided on a trees and appetizers. Our food was promptly brought out; one of the entrees the Rock Chicken was not warm at all, the server without issue replaced the item. We were here for a birthday dinner and a complimentary dessert was brought out for the birthday girl with sparklers and all :) !!Pro tip: it is a little loud in here so make sure know that going in its a very lively environment but also creates an entertaining atmosphere. I loved the complimentary valet ! Please remember to tip these are very kind generous and hardworking people !!!"
"My wife and I went to Mariscos Cazo de Oro last week. This is a place that could be easily overlooked. We walk inside and find a rather casual place (not bad). It kind of looks like a palapa or bar in the inside with a stage for a band and perhaps karaoke. We were originally greeted in Spanish by the attendant. Not a problem, as I know Spanish. Eventually another person came by and took our order (thank goodness he spoke English). We ordered the following:1) Camarones de cucaracha. This is a bit of a strange name, as literally the word cucaracha refers to cockroach. That was not the case. The camarones (shrimps) were grilled perfectly. You could eat them head and all. They were tasty.2) Parrillada Mariscos Mixta (Mariscada). Mixed grilled seafood. It has some oysters, squid, crab, shrimp, and conch. It was grilled with a bunch of peppers and onion. It was good. This is enough for two people. Even that was a bit of a huge portion size for me. Overall, the food was very good. My wife, originally from Vietnam, had no problems with the seafood, and found it very fresh. The only thing worth noting is that I do not drink alcohol. As a result I did not drink and beer or anything. Perhaps what we ate would have gone well with beer, but I do not drink alcohol. My wife and I had a good experience here. It is a small, casual, place. We will definitely come back here. We just hope that this place gets more business, and is able to stay open. We want this restaurant to be profitable and stay open. They need more business. If you are a little adventurous, and ready to try something dramatically different. Go to this place. I bet that what you experience will be very similar to some kiosk or walkup in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) when it comes to seafood."
""ANOTHER AMAZING EXPERIENCE!" I brought my family here, knowing that they would like it and I was right. Everybody enjoyed their food. We all had a great time. Customer service was great yet again and honestly, I would keep coming back because the food is consistent. Portions are well and you can taste the homemade quality."
"In keeping with the traditional Mexican cure for hangovers, I came here for a bowl of menudo Saturday morning. For you non-menudo eaters, (myself included) I'm not sure how a bowl of cow's stomach is supposed to cure one of those hangovers where you can't bend over to tie your shoes for fear your eyeballs will pop out, but they say it works so I gave it a try.It didn't work.It was tasty and all, but I left every bit as hungover as when I went in.Leading me to believe the real cure for a hangover isn't so much the menudo itself, but rather the idea that you're eating something so disgusting and repulsive, you're just happy to get it over with. Lending to the idea of feeling better afterward. You don't though. Anyway, you've probably eaten things far worse than a bowl of spiced cow innards.... on a Saturday morning...while waiting for the cab to show up.Not repeating. (either one)"
"There aren't too many Oaxacan restaurants in the Valley, so it was sad that the Oaxacan restaurant on Bethany Home Rd. near the Christown Mall disappeared as a consequence of the leveling of the building it was a part of, to make way for a new commercial plaza. But fortunately it has been reincarnated, this time in the mostly Middle-Eastern ethnic commercial area on 27th Avenue a bit south of Northern Avenue. The new place features the bright colors characteristic of many Mexican restaurants; but this time there is booth seating, unlike in its old location. There is also an array of shelves where some Oaxacan products are displayed for sale. After I was seated, I was given complementary tortilla chips and salsas. I ordered the costillas de puerco con nopales (pork ribs with cactus); the ribs were covered in a red sauce and squares of braised prickly pear pads, a tasty combination nicely complemented by yellow rice, black beans, and warm corn tortillas. I also ordered a side of tamal Oaxaqueño amarillo (their tamales come in yellow, red, or mole varieties), which I thought I would be bringing home but ended up finishing as it was so good. Prices are good and parking is not an issue. It's good to have this restaurant back - I know I can have my favorite mole dishes again, and even chapulines when the season comes."
"Went here last night for date night. It is located inside the Camby Hotel. We ordered the elotes dip and shrimp to start and the burger and fish tacos for our entree. Everything tasted great! The burger and elotes dip were definitely the highlights. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't love was the ambiance - it felt very much like a hotel restaurant and less upscale/classy restaurant. Overall though is was a really good experience!"
"The choices they have are diverse and tasty. The 3 street tacos combo meal was a pretty good deal and tasted great. There are so many meats to choose from as well. On weekdays, many of the tacos are $1.00. That's stellar. The horchata they have also tasted great. I'd definitely get it again. Lastly, the chicken verde tamale was a bit small and on the drier side for my taste. I did however love the salsas and used them with all of the food items today. The employees were also really nice and helpful. I highly recommend."
"Apparently my last review is 7 years old. I've been coming here for way longer than that, and the food has remained consistently good. This is my favorite mariscos in the world. Whenever I come back and visit I try to come here for the shrimp molcajete with all its shrimpy cheesy mushroomy boiling goodness. Was happy to share this place with a loved one on a recent trip and they got the mixed seafood molcajete and loved every bite. There are other places around the country that have a molcajete on the menu but none compare to this one."
"Fantastic service, cool vibe and decent Taco Tuesday special. At 4pm on a Tuesday it was pretty quiet inside and out, with a few after work drinkers at the bar. Inside has fun decor with motorcycle taxidermy , trust me it's worth seeing. I selected the shredded beef tacos on corn tortillas with no beans, only rice as the side. The beef was tender, not stringy and had a nice flavor. Spicy but not deadly. Rice was fine, unremarkable. Tried the frozen margarita since it's hot out. It was strong and limey, but $10. This place, unfortunately, has no happy hour specials. I liked the shady East facing patio with booths. Our server came back so frequently to check on us it was almost comical. Very efficient and effective young man. I look forward to coming back during the evening to hang out at the bar for some cocktails!"
"Disappointed I really wanted to like this restaurant. Especially, after reading all the positive Yelp reviews. However, my dining experience at El Snappy's Mexican Food, wasn't very good. However, I would like to start this review on a positive note by saying that this customer service at Snappy's was really good.On this visit my lunch companion and I shared a Carne Asada Huarache and Carne Asada Nachos. To be honest our entree's weren't very good. Our meals lacked flavor and the Carne Asada was on the fatty side. The meat as well as the salsa just had an odd taste that wasn't pleasing. Maybe, I should have ordered something diffrent or we caught Snappy on an off day. Maybe I will revisit and give the place another try."

Amazing My favorite Mexican food restaurant!!We were born in Mesa and know GOOD Mexican food. You travel around or to Texas and they say they're is the best, NO. They've never had good Mexican food. Every time we travel I look forward to stopping by. We even moved to Queen Creek 20 years ago and he was trying to talk Lulu into opening a restaurant there so we didn't have to drive so far on Gilbert & Guadalupe. Refried Beans are amazing, plus Beef shredded Chimichanga and tacos.

Local Lunch Truck in Phoenix that's been established for YEARS. I've been a local fans since 2001. We've enjoyed the fresh handmade tortillas & flavorful Huaraches. Which what this place is known for! I highly recommend the Huarache (wah-rah-ch-eh) for those who can't speak Spanish, it's named like a sandal. But it's a huge hand made thick version of a tortilla, filled with cheese, sour cream, meat of your choice. (Mine is the carne asada) they add lettuce, more cheese, and you can add salsa if you like. It's best served and eaten hot and fresh. The warmth of it literal perfection. When you try the tacos, they're worth the cost. They're pretty big on handmade tortillas. They taste amazing with the cilantro and lemon. So if you're ever in the area, try it!

Toca Madera - A Truly Unforgettable Dining Experience! From the moment we walked into Toca Madera, we were blown away by the ambience. The space is elegant, vibrant, and perfectly set the tone for an amazing evening. It's the kind of place where you feel both relaxed and excited at the same time. But what really stood out was the service--absolutely top-notch across the board. Every member of the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly special. Our waitress was especially wonderful, adding a personal touch that really made the night unforgettable. Now, let's talk about the food. First of all, the chips and pico are to die for--the perfect start to the meal. The calamari? 10/10. It was crispy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The guacamole with plantain chips was a genius twist and absolutely delicious. As for the wagyu steak... I've had my fair share of great steaks, but this one was on another level--by far the best steak I've ever had.The Carne Asada Caesar Salad was another highlight. Every bite was full of flavor, and it complemented the other dishes perfectly. Honestly, everything we had was fantastic. As if all that wasn't enough, our waitress surprised us at the end with a lovely dessert and a toast with alcohol-free champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary. It was such a thoughtful touch that truly made the evening even more special.Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had, and I wholeheartedly recommend Toca Madera. From the ambience to the food to the exceptional service, it's a 10/10 in every way. I can't wait to come back!

Great food, good and efficient service, surprisingly just very ok horchata. I saw the "best horchata" sign when coming out of the restroom so I added one on to my lunch. It was meh. Must have been an old best of award. Pros 1. Fresh food - good fish taco with fresh toppings 2. Quick lunch service 3. Easy parking in back Cons 1. Very greasy carne asada taco that I didn't eat past one bite because I was afraid all that oil would land me on the toilet and I had dinner plans with a friend that evening 2. Horchata was just rice milk with some cinnamon sprinkled on top. Nothing special and wouldn't order again.

Came to Phoenix to work and needed something quick and good and luckily this restaurant was across the way from pur hotel! We loved the chicken burrito and breakfast burrito. We went both Saturday and Sunday and whenever we come back to Phoenix we will definitely come back. Keep up the great work and friendly customer service.

Real food with real flavor. Stopped in for lunch for the first time today. Friendly customer service, cleanly interior, but no public bathroom. They sell smoked chilis and some bakery items also. The service was friendly and personable. Plan to come back!

"I ate the Buck out of this place, it's so Bucking good!!! It's definitely my new Buck Buddy...love it!I'm of the belief that you can make anything into a burrito...it's my favorite food group. Love so many things about this spot...the location, the storefront, outdoor seating only, smoky bbq smells, the burritos are phenomenal, the people are super friendly, everything! I went with the brisket, egg and cheese burrito and added refried beans to it. Loved every bite and was sad when it was gone. But I'll hit this again....but I'll probably wait a few days so I don't seem desperate. On a scale of 1 to 10, I love this place!"
"THE BEST BEER BATTERED SHRIMP & FISH TACOS IN ALL ARIZONA ! Amazing welcoming customer service kept checking on if everything was ok, the ambiance was also nice covered seated area or I seen lots picking up orders. I definitely recommend this to everyone! Do not sleep on their food also their flavorful shrimp and cheese empanadas wow ! And not to forget their huge shrimp and cheese quesadilla!"
"Great Carne asada burritos and the chicken and pizza is delicious good service and great ambiance"
"Absolutely incredible. I'm attending FREAK CITY in Pheonix and I've come to this place twice. Delicious mexican and american food, real cooking, friendly service and even a little gift shop. This is a REAL DINER. I had the Caldo de Res one day and the Juevos Rancheros (with hash browns) the next. Don't skip it. Al Pastor also delicious!"
"Went through the drive through last Sunday, it took so long the guy in front of me shut off his truck while he waited. Once I got up to the window I could see why, they were packed! We got 2 chicken chimichanga plates to go. They. Were. Phenomenal. First off they were huge. Gargantuan. And oh so amazingly crispy on the outside. Topped with dollops of sour cream and guacamole like a crown on a large, crispy, golden baby. After taking a few bites, I got a taste of the chicken on its own and man that was the best chicken I've had at a Mexican place. They did not skimp on the beans and rice and they paired so well with that crunchy-shelled blimp of a chimichanga. After eating the entire thing and literally licking the plate clean I can confidently say they have the best chimichangas I've had in the valley so far. I can't speak for anything else on the menu but if you have a hankering for a beautifully crispy outside, wonderfully flavorful inside, chicken infused, absolute brick of delicious flavor, try the pollo chimi. You'll thank me after you wake up from your food coma."
"The quesabirria tacos are delicious. 5 Stars for good tacos, and rating based on expectations and flavor. Exceeded expectations (in a gas station) and flavor was on point. This is perfect for takeout. This spot is surprising as it's in a shell gas station, but this is a legit place with good food. It was good enough that I want to go back and try more things. The quesabirria was good enough that I might not stray away from it to try something new. This is a good takeout spot since they're fast and good and in a gas station. There are two tables if you want to sit inside the gas station and eat. It was takeout for me."
"Arizona burritos and super nachosThis place is the best. Everyone staff wise is super friendly. My go to for tacos/burritos and etc."
"What a fantastic meal. The Camarones a la Diabla were delicious. The refried beans were very loose and that was the magic of the dish. It slowly started mixing with the spicy sauce and made a great sauce. The tortillas were soft and tasty. One of the best meals I've had in a while."
"Lots of parking, fast friendly service, good burritos.... There is no seating inside so expect to get your burritos to go. Place is clean and we were greeted when we walked in. The burritos are smaller and a lil cheaper than burritos you get at other fast food burrito places like Filiberto's, Los favoritos burritos, etc. They're not tiny but the perfect size for people like me and my kids who don't have huge appetites. Good variety of tacos as well as some sides of corn, quesadillas and beans n cheese. They also have a couple healthy wrap options (turkey and bacon with egg whites) which not sure why you would get a wrap at a burrito place. But I guess if you have a friend come along and they don't like burritos? Lols I got the mole - shredded chicken cooked in sweet & spicy chocolate adobado sauce. I love mole and this was pretty food. But I realized I prefer eating this with rice and eggs instead of in a tortilla. Flour tortilla was yummy and homemade. My kids had the bacon and hash burrito, ate it all up so they def liked it. I didn't get a bite, selfish kids! Jk"
""La dieta empieza el lunes." The diet starts on Monday! More like, "¿Que dieta?" As Tony the Tiger would say, "They're grrrrrreat!"I've been watching this place get renovated since day one. Before my eyes, the dry cleaners became Tortas Manantial and boy did my skirt flipped! I had been studying their menu for like two months so when opening day came, I was ready! I shared a Cubana torta, chicharron torta, agua mango, agua guava, and Nachos con Tostitos. And although I starved myself at work all day in anticipation for dinner, I still had to take my nachos to go. Holy smokes was that a darn tasty meal. I recommend the chicharon torta hands down. If you don't get it, your mouth will never know true happiness. Don't deprive yourself. It's so good that even when I removed my contacts later on in the evening and my eyeballs were on fire from all the spices leftover on my fingertips, I was still thinking about my leftover nachos instead of flushing my retinas out with water. That burn though!I love it here. It's clean, the place is super cute, and the people are nice. Yazmine was our cashier and she was equally friendly as she is lovely! The diet will never start as long as I can double fist the chicharon torta!"
"This is hands-down, the best Greek food closest to Laveen. If you live in Laveen and are looking for good Greek food for a good price, come here, this will not disappoint you. Their ingredients are fresh and their rice and Gyro meat is full of flavor. Everything is made to order and even their side salad has fresh mixed greens. Their tzatziki is so garlicky. It is amazing."
"This is an old school mexican restaurant not far from the airport. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Our drink order was taken and I thought I would try their prickly pear margarita. The cocktail was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and it was very tasty. I think it's my new favorite margarita flavor. For dinner I ordered a cup of albondigas, and two enchiladas (chicken and cheese) with a chile relleno. The albindogas came pretty quickly and it was packed with chicken, veggies, and even the broth was very tasty. A very nice start. My entree came next and in a reasonable amount of time. The rice was very good, beans a little watered down but still flavorful, the chicken enchilada was really dry but the cheese enchilada was delicious. The chile relleno was flavorful but was way to wet and kinda just fell apart.A very good experience here but I think some refinements are in order."
"Great delicious burrito, sauces and guacamole with chips. The spices in the burrito were so well balanced and the chips were great also!!!"
"Awesome stop before heading back to the airport! Totally convenient. Plenty of parking. Really well priced. Food was awesome and the lunch proportions were enough. If I'm back in town, this will be a spot to revisit. Don't let its location fool you (I mean maybe not the best choice at 1 am on a Friday but I wasn't there for the evening hours...) it was so good."
""Tacos are like what the voices of a hundred angels singing Bob Dylan while sitting on rainbows and playing banjos would taste like if that sound were edible." ― Isabel QuinteroIt's a hot grill summer!I've been wanting to try Taco Boys for a minute now. Waiting for ASU to be on summer break was tough, but the area would usually be busy, so the wait was worth it! Although it was warm inside, it didn't distract us from the noms. We ordered a little bit of everything and you betcha we had leftovers. We got the carne asada burrito, a cabeza vampiro, carne asada taco, taco al pastor, cabeza taco, tripas taco, a barbacoa quesadilla, and since it was Sunday, a michelada to wash it all down. If I hadn't just gotten back from Mexicali, this would have hit the spot. But with carne asada and al pastor still being fresh on my mind and taste buds, it missed the mark just so slightly. This place doesn't put pineapple on the al pastor, which makes me sad, but the surprise winner for me was the tripas. It was fatty, flavorful, and oh so good! This place is great. The salsa bar is well-stocked, the staff is super friendly, and the micheladas are proper. ¡Salud!"
"Overall, it stood up to the hype. Generous portion of carne asada in the soft corn tortillas. Pico de gallo and guacamole topped this one. And I tried a crunchy shredded chicken taco (they also have grilled chicken) that was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, & cheddar. Side of sour cream to layer on with their house red & green salsas. You know what, I also ordered a bean & cheese burrito to go so I could heat it up for lunch tomorrow! The cashier was really helpful with recommendations and the small dining room was filled with people making happy meal noises mmmm....ooooh.....yuuuuum :-)"
"FANTASTIC Mexican fare. This Nico's is a couple minutes away from the I-10 but its not too far and most definitely worth it. We webt around 8pm so it was very dark and very quiet. There were a couple cars in line at the drive-thru but no one dining inside. For less than $20 my husband and I had a delicious feast;3 rolled shredded beef tacos topped with guacamole and melted shredded cheese3 ground beef folded tacos2 sides of beans with cheese1 large (aka humungous diet Coke)And 1 large Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus sweet tea)The man behind the counter was super cool and very nice. We chatted a bit about our journey to Arizona and he was kind enough to offer us some free pickled veggies....which were delicious! The crispy tacos were insanely good as was the Agua Fresca de Jamaica. The beans and cheese had perfect texture. If we are ever in Eloy, Arizona again (which we sure hope to be!) we will, without a doubt, come to eat at this Nico's. Heading Westbound on the I-10, get off at exit 208. Safe journey to everyone. Eat tacos."
"Not really a seafood kind of guy. I'm on the record saying once you cook seafood, it's ruined!I'll shut up now, thanks to Las Islas. First of all, I must say the prices are VERY affordable. $3 beers and full plates that will leave you stuffed for as low as 8 bucks. My chimi was gargantuan and very enjoyable...there's no way I could finish this whole thing AND all the sides it came with. I love the beans! The ceviche tostadas were sweeter than I expected, but they were LOADED and pretty good. I had bite of my friend's fish, featured in my photos. Very savory, tons of garlic, thoroughly delicious. The atmosphere is also very good. There's a sort of a lounge in the back with the pool table, and lots of live music. You will feel welcomed and you will have fun, especially if you are hanging out with paisas. B-) I don't have seafood cravings often, but this is a good place to satisfy them. Just keep in mind that if you don't like seafood, it's cool that there's plenty of stuff without it. What's not cool, however, is that it's all prepped in the same place, and your meal is probably going to taste fishy no matter what. Although I enjoyed my chimi, it was very obviously fried in the same oil as everything else! Minus one star! But other than that, this place is solid."
"Great food and a lot of it for the money. They are very friendly and the restaurant is clean. Fully stocked salsa bar is a plus, worth dropping in"
"Stopped here after an evening event at BTA. While it was crowded, still able to get a seat. Hubby ordered the killer chimichanga with pork. When I check our last yelp review he ordered the same thing. And he still loved it. Thank I tried the shrimp rellano. Wow. It was great."
"I just love this place. We try to support local mom and pop places and this wonderful restaurant gets our business weekly! The menu is simple and has about 20 items. My husband has tried them all. I love the wet burrito (huge) and the bandera burrito with carne asada meat or el pastor with pineapple. My husband really likes the burritos, taco dills and rolled tacos. But he loves the overall taste of the meat in all the items!Fernando, the owner, takes pride in everything he prepares. The meat is always high quality. Shrimp and grilled fish are options if you don't want meat.Come hungry or ask for a take out box when you're done. I think it still tastes great the next day!"
"Tacos where eh!Horchata was like cinnamon chalk couldn't even drink it3 stars for great salsa , very hot and great flavor. Seems pretty expensive for how standard the tacos are."
"This is an adorable little spot in Downtown Mesa to enjoy authentic Mexican food! We stopped by Mango's around 2 p.m. on a weekday after hiking all morning, and found this was the ideal way to refuel after a trek through the Superstitions. You order at the counter inside the restaurant, and then choose your table either inside or outside. The decor is colorful and fun - and we ended up sitting on the patio to enjoy some Arizona sunshine. My husband and I each ordered the Killer Burrito with shredded chicken, which was packed full of flavor and served in a handmade tortilla. We also split an order of the perfectly crispy chips, and delightfully fresh salsa and guac. Mango's is also known for its rotating selection of Agua Frescas, so we sipped on a few of those alongside our meal. The limeade was my favorite -- not too sweet, not too tart. I absolutely recommend Mango's to anyone looking for a taste of classic Mexican cuisine. We'll be back the next time we're in town!"
