"I've been to Harumi a long time ago before they upgraded. It looks much nicer from before and I loved the interior! We arrived around 3:30ish on Saturday. My group and I were seated right away. My order: Matcha Martini $17 - different, but I liked it.Kurodai Tiradito $18 - light and refreshingYellowtail Trio $27 - sashimi, nigiri & half a rollUni Nigiri x2 $28 - fresh and deliciousMy portion alone was $115 with tip. A bit on the higher side but the quality was good. Also loved that they automatically give fresh wasabi here! My friends ordered an old-fashioned, 2 sake bombers, yellowtail trio, assorted sashimi, and tuna trio. Everyone liked their orders. Food was good, service was also good, place was bright and clean. I would go back again if Im in the area and had a whole day planned out there."
"A surprise finding for delicious sushi rolls. Came here for dinner. Didn't have to wait long for a table. We got some spicy edamame and a few rolls. The OMG roll was baked and delicious but my favorite of the night was the salmon lover roll. The ingredients and flavors were so light and refreshing. Would definitely go for that roll again! The place was busy but overly noisy, the staff sas efficient and friendly."

"Our first meal in Scottsdale. Interesting this restaurant is actually from San Francisco. But we'v never visited that one even though we'v visited SF many times. We requested a counter seating but the host girl forgot about it. So we had to ask to be moved to the counter. Minor issue but the dinner experience was good enough. Menu was usual Japanese and Asian fusion items. Not gluten friendly but they offer tamari at least! We ordered quite a few items to share. We had fresh oysters, tuna tartare crispy rice, shishito peppers, salmon sashimi, mushroom miso soup, uni sushi, toro tartare, scallop and mushroom skewers as tapas. Also steak and whole Branzino as entrees. The food was delicious and fresh in healthy portions. The cocktails were tasty and strong. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive the entire time. We liked the food and service but the ambiance was so crowded and noisy. A decent Japanese restaurant but don't think we will visit again next time. Mainly I am not a fan of overpriced Japanese food. I don't drink most of the time now so I can't eat raw when I don't drink alcohol. Still a solid dinner experience to start our Arizona trip nicely! Ps. Valet disappeared when we came out, complimentary valet so they leave as they please?!"
"In a non descript strip mall, you'll find this excellent sushi restaurant, and I ended up here last week after a car maintenance appointment.I definitely like really good pieces of fresh sushi, and this place did not disappoint and made me pretty happy.I sat at the sushi bar, and the sushi chef helped to serve me. I first started with the blue fin, and this was very tasty. I don't really put any soy sauce on my pieces of fish as I enjoy it raw with a smear of wasabi.Next, I had the nanbanzuke. When I asked the chef what this is, he described it as kind of like chicken nuggets. I don't know thats how I would have described it, but it was tasty. It's really a marinated fish of your choice that has a coating that's been fried or perhaps pan-fried. This felt like a comfort dish, and I could have used some rice with it.The last thing I had was tuna belly, and that was just delicious! And I loved how it was fresh and a little fatty in texture.Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back when I am in the area and want some nice pieces of sushi!"
"This was such an amazing sushi place!I was picked up by a coworker and he recommended this place, highly. We walked in and it was such a nice modern restaurant with a very welcoming staff. We sat down and started to look over the large and amazing menu. They have a great deal for $31 which includes a Asahi Beer Tower and two appetizers! This is a huge deal and I was impressed with the price. We ordered that along with fried calamari and spicy tuna tartar. Both were amazing. We then ordered some Yakitori, some great rolls, sashimi, and really good drinks! The waitress was awesome and the food was top notch. I'll be adding this place to my list for when I come back here!"
"Divine! Delicious! Dashing! We had such a great experience with this sushi restaurant. Every roll we got was delicious. The primo was my favorite out of the 3! They are very saucy. The sauce is delicious! Especially their garlic and lemon white sauces. I wish we had this restaurant in the area we just moved to!!"
"This place is perfect if you're very hungry. The portions are huge. Service was excellent. Bento boxes are inexpensive. However, the chicken teriyaki came out cold. It tasted delicious but would've been better hot. The tempura was delicious, fresh and hot. The sushi rolls were also good. We also had salmon teriyaki and it was perfect. Recommend if you're in the area and craving Japanese food. Enjoy!"
"The sushi rolls were very well prepared with fresh ingredients. I wasn't a fan of the spicy edamame. I'm had more flavorful, plain edamme than what they serve up a spicy here. Nonetheless, the staff were wonderful and helpful. The food arrived at the table in a timely manner. The chef sent a complimentary dish to the table. That brought a smile to my face. :-) All day every day is happy hour! Many rolls to choose from. Although the facility is small, that can accommodate groups. There's lots of parking available. Accessible parking and entrance."
"Went Friday night for some sushi. We haven't been to Masa in a year we were in the neighborhood and decided to go. We did change it up we usually got sushi rolls, but this time we tried a combo meal. It was perfect! My wife can't eat a lot of rice and that makes her question whenever I want sushi. She's afraid it will be too much rice. These two items have rice but at a much better ratio. So it was a perfect dinner. The service is very good with the exception of the periodic dish being placed into the bus cart. Good is always great and we were glad to see that it's staying great! A wonderful family spot or individual."
"Fairly so-so Japanese food and came in here for lunch the other day. Place had a good amount of people dining in, so that's good for them.I am trying to recall what I had and none of it really stands out now. I think I got a lunch box B, and my friend had an unagi roll. Weird that no miso soup or salad came with the lunch special, and I didn't even bother to check on the menu if it came with that. Nigiri pieces were OK. Roll was so so, rice wasn't sticky really.Unagi roll wasn't too bad and I had one piece. Nothing really memorable here, but I did enjoy seeing my friend. Probably will pass on a place like this next time. I'll go check out the Lebanese place next door."
"Here's my breakdown:- service - 5 stars- food - 3 stars- ambiance - 4 starsCame in to do the all you can eat sushi. The service was nice and friendly and very attentive. They were also fast and efficient in bringing out the food. The food, however, was mediocre at best, the quality of the fish was a lower grade, and there was not a lot of variety on the menu. The fish was chewy and stringy. Parking was easy, interior was OK, bathrooms were reasonably clean."
"Great local spot for nigiri sushi, sashimi and rolls. Their gee are ply your tastes good too."

I came in here for dinner and sat at the high-top bar without a wait. All the waiters were super attentive, charismatic, and nice. I ordered a cocktail, the spicy tuna appetizer, and a few rolls. They were all delicious, reasonable priced and fresh, quality ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful, hip and modern.Overall, I highly recommend it. Try to make reservations in advance and parking in downtown is hectic.

This is some of the best sushi I have ever had! Went here for date night and it was fantastic! First time dining here and the vibe is chill and romantic. The servers all work together to take care of the tables so you won't have just one server helping you. All of them were attentive and helpful. For appetizers we got the gyoza and veggie tempura. The gyoza were very good but the tempura was okay. The best appetizer we got was the sexy crab. It was crab and veggies cut into strips and wrapped in seaweed. They had spicy ponzu sauce little drizzled on them and they were the perfect starter. Then for our entrees my boyfriend had the Finding Nemo. It was 10 pieces! The spicy Mayo was very strong but over all a good roll. I got the yellowtail.com and it was the most perfect dish for me! Yellowtail is my favorite and the dish came with four pieces of sashimi, four pieces of nigiri, and then four pieces of spicy yellow tail roll. Then they have fresh wasabi and this completed the dish. I have found my new favorite spot that is close by and I cannot wait to go back!

Roca Akor what a fabulous date night. We started off with appetizers and an old fashions at the bar and then moved on to the really long cooking-station table. Flat out ordered so many different taste, wanted to try everything but unfortunately, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We did try around 10 different things. Everything was fabulous. Let me tell you that pork belly, which I wanted to call pork belly-scotch, it was so silky and smooth, incredible.Lee (mixologist) Marcus (the best waiter today) Ariel ( host)Armando Guillermo, thank you.Mitch (one of my favorite) Meech Mic, so many people responsible for making our first visit, not our last visit. teamwork was amazing.I WOULD RECOMMEND

My friend and I haven't been here since 2015. We decided to revisit, glad we did. We've come here several time so far for lunch, each time has been very good both service and food. We tend to always try to get a seat at the sushi bar. In addition, we stay away from the lunch specials and just order what we like.My friend and I have had a lot of items our last several visits. The Hamachi Kama is exceptional along with the Oysters. If you are not a sushi eater the Nabeyaki Udon is amazing (keep in mind it does take a bit of time, but worth it).So far so good, as long as the food and service stay good, we'll be regulars!

I just stopped into this place for happy hour. Everything was really good and very well priced. I can see why this place was very busy. The ambiance here is what you'd imagine at a sushi place. Nothing too over the top. For food my party decided to get the gyoza and spicy edamame. Both were delicious and worth the price. Finally for the rolls, we decided to go with the Vegas Roll, the Philadelphia Roll, and the Hot Night roll. All of them were good but my favorites were the Vegas roll and Hot Night. I'd probably skip the Philadelphia roll next time if I'm being honest. Our service here was also great here. The only reason I didn't give this place five stars was nothing really blew my mind. Everything was good , affordable, and what you'd expect but I didn't leave feeling like I had to come back for any particular item. Also, the cocktail menu is lacking. Will definitely add this to my rotation for good affordable sushi though.

We heard good things about this place from a friend so decided to check it out rather than our usual sushi place. We arrived and there was quite a crowd in line waiting for a table. You have to wade through the crowd to put your own name on a clipboard. I thought it was kinda lame and not very obvious to those coming in after us. We thought it would be a good sign that there was such a wait, but it should have been a warning for us.There are few tables inside and only 6-8 seats at the sushi bar. We waited 45 minutes for a party of four. By the time we sat down, we were famished but just grateful to be seated. They plopped the menus down and ran off. It took 10 minutes to get our drink orders in. And another 10 to get our sodas. At one point the waitress hurried by to ask if we were ready to order but didn't even pause long enough for us to answer. So we waited another 10 minutes to place our food order. She was not very helpful about the few questions we had about the menu and seemed irritated that we would even bother her with questions. Our food took another 15 minutes to arrive. The cooked items came out before the sushi, which seemed odd and the sushi chefs weren't busy because we were sitting across from the bar and could watch them. The food was underwhelming. I think the appeal of this place is the large number of special roll options which aren't my measure of great sushi, in my opinion. Both chicken entrees were overcooked and dry but a good portion. The sashimi were made of large slices, but the chef didn't slice the fish properly. It was not artfully sliced like you would expect from a good sushi place. However, it tasted fresh, but it still wasn't pleasant grinding through the stringy pieces within the fish. Basically, if you like lots of special rolls, this is your place(if you can wait 2 hours before you finally eat). If you are a sushi connoisseur, you will not be impressed here. We won't be venturing back here again.

Nothing says sushi like the middle of the desert!I came here after my flight landed for lunch. I was looking for a place I could kill some time and have a good meal and found this place. I do love sushi even though I don't often order it. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and the rolls royce roll. The chicken teriyaki came out on skewers with a salad and a bowl of rice. The salad didn't appeal to me and the teriyaki sauce was a bit overly sweat, but overall not a bad dish. I enjoyed mixing the chicken with the rice and was semi filling. The rolls royce roll was supposed to have some habenero in it and be extra spicy but it wasn't at all. The tuna filling also kept popping out and didn't seem rolled very tightly together. Overall I enjoyed the meal. I have a fairly high standard for good sushi and this wasn't great, wasn't bad, just right in the middle. Would absolutely come back here as I don't imagine there are many sushi options in the desert. The service here was friendly and fast and the restaurant was large and split into some smaller sections with outdoor seating. Overall a good casual lunch experience.

Reminds of a hole in the wall sushi place. Service was SO fast it was awesome. Got seated quick, order was taken quick. Food started coming out super fast. Everything seemed like large portions which was appreciated with a growing teenager with me. Green tea pot was a little weird and hobo cause the kid didn't seem to fit quite right and fell off easily. Seating is a little close but not unusual for a small place like this. Saw people coming in and out for take out orders and seemed like great fast service there too.

"The food is good, probably not the best sushi I've ever had, but good enough to fill a void. They have a few veg options that are clearly marked with a leaf. They said "plant-based," and I am not sure if that means vegetarian or vegan, but I do appreciate at least some effort. I had a veggie roll, which was ok, but not something I am going to find myself craving. My friend and I also split fried tofu and potato croquettes. The croquettes were a little weird, and I felt like they were missing something. The tofu were fried sticks, and they were fine, although I didn't care much for the dipping sauce. There was nothing I ate that knocked my socks off, but it also wasn't bad.We sat at the bar, and the service was friendly and fast. The hostess who sat us was also our server, and she came around regularly to check on us. She was very friendly and willing to help. They have a pretty decent cocktail and sake menu, but we didn't have any. I could see going back to try one of their specialty cocktails, although it didn't appear there are any discounts on those for happy hour. Speaking of - the happy hour is pretty expansive. Monday-Thursday it is from 5pm-11pm, but the weekends (Friday/Saturday) are only late night happy hour. They are open until 2am on the weekends, though, so if you're drunk on RoRo and craving some sushi, this is the place. The interior of the place feels very hip and chic. My friend joked that she didn't feel cool enough to be there. I liked the decor, and if the weather works, there is also a nice little outdoor area to sit as well.Like I said - it is solid, but also not something I would crave like some other sushi places I've visited."
"I need to update my review since I can't edit the last one. The manager's name is David, not Michael, lol! He remembered me from my last visit and don't ask me why I said his name is Michael, but it's DAVID! He and his staff once again came through with quick, attentive service and the fresh, delicious food. We left nothing behind.Since I'll be in this area more often now, I know I'll continue to come back again and again. The only things that could make this even better is if they had Ikura and Uni!!! I can live without Nemo, but I'd love for them to add it to their menu.Still, at the prices they have going, it's an unbelievable deal! I am happy to support this business and will continue to show them love. Thank you, David, and the rest of the Crazy Tuna staff!"
"Would you consider the ocean a soup? Hear me out! It has water (the base), salt (flavor), veggies, and fish (protein). Now that we got that nonsense out of the way, get your syllabus ready for Sushi 101 Bar and Grill update. I first came to Sushi 101 as a wide-eyed freshmen at ASU and have been back plenty of times since. This is pretty much a staple place for all ASU students to go but now Sushi 101 has relocated from being right next to the ASU campus to a mile or so away. Did the relocation hinder their business? I'll let you decide.Get the ASU Roll, The Monsoon Roll, and even a Philly Roll if you love salmon with cream cheese. Get whatever you want but just get yourself down here. If you're a Sun Devil, you have to pay homage to this spot. Will it be the best sushi of your life? No. But you have to come here. Period."
"I've been here more than 5 times and it's always great. One of the best sushi I've ever tasted as well! I LOVE their eel nigiri! They really have the best eel nigiri among all others I've tried. Service is great. After all the times I've been here, the last time they were honestly slow. It took about 30 minutes for us to get our main course food/sushi's but it's ok we had the drinks & 1 appetizer. Our server was still very attentive & nice. She wanted us they don't have a lot of chef so it was understandable. We've been here many times and that was the first time they were slow so it is not a bjgThis place never fails! They also have the best alcoholic milk tea boba (idk the entire name for it). I've come by here many times & it's always been an amazing experience. 100% recommend!"
"My daughter wanted a sashimi boat for her birthday and Chef Jason killed it! It was beautiful and the fish was perfection! We also had specialty rolls and Katsu chicken and every bite was fantastic! To our surprise, they had Happy Hour drink specials on Sunday night. We highly recommend!"
"Very unassuming place in a strip mall. It's nothing special on the outside or inside, but the food was all very good, and that's what counts! Quick and friendly service. Wasn't busy on a Saturday night. Food came out pretty quick. They have a huge menu.We ordered 3 specialty rolls, salmon nigiri and the spicy garlic edamame. And miso soup. Everything was fresh and delicious. And, it was less than $50 for the 2 of us to get totally stuffed which is harder and harder to come by these days! Don't let the strip mall decor deter you from some good food!"
"It has been a family tradition to pick up some Blue Fin's favorite teriyaki chicken plate! It comes with white rice and salad with ginger dressing.I also order a three piece shrimp tempura as my appetizer very goodEverything here is always delicious and freshly made to order.Service is always amazing and there is plenty of tables inside and outside to seat and enjoy your food."
"Let me tell you how impressed I am with the beautiful people at this restaurant! I arranged to meet a friend at 2 and was horribly delayed. They close at 3, so when it was 2:45, my friend was the only one in the restaurant and she asked if they preferred that we move to a different venue so they could close. They insisted that I take my time and they would wait for me. And then provided exemplary service, including instruction on the way to create the perfect sushi bite and tips for better use of chopsticks. My friend said they provided the same level of service for her. They allowed us to visit and take our time while they enjoyed their meal and prepared for dinner service. The food was darn good - I had a spicy tuna roll with salmon on the outside, and a bowl of chicken yakisoba. My friend had a different spicy tuna roll, the wonton soup and veggie egg rolls. Everything was very tasty. I recommend them most highly!"
"I've past by here quite a bit during my college days and didn't really know about this place. Well back in the area for a while and wanted to see what kind of places people were recommending in the area.Ive been to Japan lived there, been all over asian. I'll tell you this, it is NOT japanese food at all. They may have 1 or 2 items (yakisoba) that you may find in Japan or Japanese restaurants but these are more American style "asian" fast food more toward Chinese style.Got a combo C to try a few things at this sitting. House chicken is basically chopped up grilled chicken in a "chop suey" style stir fry with cabbage slivers of cabbage mushroom and broccoli. Tossed in a heavy soy type sauce. Imo was very salty and didn't finish it. I do not like wasting food and try to take things home etc but actually left the rest behind.2nd item in the combo is Kaum Poong Kee. I've never heard of this dish before so really wanted to try this. Thick heavy tempura style batter chicken tossed in a sweet slightly spicy soy sauce. It was very heavy and the sauce was too much for me. I left a few pieces behind as well. Was super crunchy and freshly fried however. Overall was just too much salt for me. Maybe a simple teri chicken bowl would be better options here.If this is what you been going to for years more power to you and thank you for supporting small businesses but not for me sorry."
"Conveniently located off of 101 & Thunderbird. We stopped in to get quick lunch on Saturday. We all decided to get their lunch special. The soup and salad were delicious. The salad dressing was spot on. All the food from teriyaki to katsu to tempura was absolutely yummy. We enjoyed our lunch; however, the portion size was really small. I recommend going for the dinner portion if you're very hungry or order few appetizers or sushi to complement. Service was excellent and friendly. Enjoy!!"
"After an appointment in the area and wanting to try a new place for sushi for lunch, found this place on Yelp. We were greeted right away and our server was very kind and attentive the entire time. They have a great lunch menu. Hubby and I both chose the Lunch Sushi Crush $13.75 which consists of miso soup, salad, 4 pieces of nigiri, 8 pieces of California roll and 8 pieces of spicy tuna roll. It was a ton of food and what a great value! My favorite was the tuna nigiri with a bit of real wasabi on top. It was so buttery and melted in my mouth. We were both very full and still had 11 pieces of California roll and 7 pieces of spicy tuna roll left over! I loved their decor, atmosphere, and how friendly everyone is. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again."
"What a great restaurant. The hubs and I had been wanting to try this place, but never had the time...until tonight. We did get the filet mignon teppanyaki which came soup, salad, rice, veggies and of course steak. So super tender and delicious."
"We had the pleasure of visiting Kobe for the first time tonight in over a decade. We could not be more impressed. Several times my husband mentioned "it was the best night ever." I made reservations (for 9 of us) ahead of time and had zero wait and were impressed by the friendly service and exciting hibachi show. Highly recommend the filet and scallops and the langostino hand roll.We had NY strip steak, filet mignon, chicken, shrimp and scallops, and it was all super, soft, delicious and packed with flavor. Our chef sure out on an eventful dinner show. The kids LOVED IT. The onion train was just the best. I am so happy this place is operating like it used to be and that it survived the pandemic. Can't wait to come back for the next celebration!"
"We love this place!! The staff was so kind to our toddlers and gave them warm smiles, chopstick trainers, and kids cups. The sushi is delish and can beat the happy hour prices! We got the STST and STC rolls. Both delicious but I'd choose the STC as my fave! We also got a spicy tuna roll which was perfectly spicy. Ask for fresh wasabi- amazing! For appetizers, the gyoza has a fav, and of course a salad and miso soup that comes with your entree. My kids loved their teriyaki chicken meal. My two toddlers split the adult entree and it was perfect! They also have great lunch specials. You definitely need to try this place!!"
"I've passed by Saketini many times and never gave it much thought, especially after the fire(?) and the burnt/closed appearance. I was craving a crunchy California roll (cause I'm basic) and it actually is really hard to find! I found a crunchy Cali roll on Saketini's menu and bf ordered a Hungry roll (Avo, cream cheese, tuna). We split beef yakisoba. Our to go order was ready within 10-15 minutes! The crunchy Cali roll was okay. It wasn't as "crunchy" as I'd have preferred. The hungry roll was decent as well. They didn't seem particularly fresh. The beef yakisoba was the best item of the three, and had decent wok hay flavor. Overall Saketini was okay. Daruma is located in the same parking lot and is significantly better!"
"I ordered from Tokyo House via Uber Eats with a 60% off coupon, taking advantage of a buy one get one free deal on California rolls and shrimp tempura rolls. The sushi was decent, and the affordable price made it okay. However, I was disappointed with the mostly empty container of spicy mayo, which I purchased for an additional dollar."
"The absolute BEST Japanese restaurant in all of arizona. I came here for a Yelp event a month or so back, so this is how I found out about this place . Today I dined with my friends and it was just the perfect experience. From being greeted kindly by the host to our AMAZING waiter Nick!! Nicks service was TOP NOTCH. He went above and beyond for us and I'm really grateful for him. The dishes were all amazing! My favorite will always be the Walu Walu. Service, food, and ambiance were FANTASTIC. By far the best sushi you will find. I just love this place and will continue to keep coming back. They have meAs a loyal customer!! The manager is very kind too!"
"3 1/2 Stars: Dined here with my co-workers. Service was very slow from the moment wr walked in. Everyone seemed busy, but the restaurant wasn't even half full. Food: Miso SoupFried Shrimp TempuraTuna Special RollThe miso soup was served very hot, just how I like it. Very good flavor. The fried shrimp tempura was plated nicely, and it had Onion Rings, which was a plus. The Tuna Special had spicy tuna, shrimp tempura topped with fresh tuna, cucumber, crunchy , avocado, and eel sauce. This sushi roll was delcious. Overall, it's a great spot to dine. Just the service needs to get better. We had to wave down our server several times. Also, the wait for the sushi took long. Hope to stop by another time for dinner."
"My "soy-mate" decided she wanted sushi closer to our homes (N. Glendale) so we found this option with the "surprise me" link on Yelp (which I love, btw!!). We arrived in time for happy hour, (it's from 4-7pm) and so we had the seaweed salad, the gyoza, and some edamame to start. All three of these were smaller bites (unsure if they are bigger not on HH) but perfect for starters. The seaweed salad was good, could have used a little more bounce, but the flavor was great. The gyoza tasty too - smaller, and very fresh tasting, and the edamame had large salt crystals - which I'm a fan of. She ordered a teriyaki bowl, and we split 4 rolls - the Booty booty, caterpillar, the nude, and a Philly roll. They brought out ginger and wasabi without us asking which was nice, and they had both regular soy and low sodium on the table. Our server didn't offer anything else (although did ask if we needed anything a few times throughout our meal) and so felt the service was OK. Not spectacular- but not bad. My water was re-filled twice (I drink a lot of water when I have sushi) so it was fine, but she was quiet soft spoken and not very lively. The place was cute! It was pretty open and not busy for HH and into the evening (we sat and caught up for a while!). Pretty quiet and not a lot of bothering us. It wasn't until we were leaving that we saw this super cute photo wall and we had to snap the pic before leaving. Another lovely woman offered to take the photo of us, but I'm a selfie gal so sharing my fave. They had some great roll packages that if she wasn't getting a bowl, we'd have considered, seems great for splitting. Also had some noodles, udon, a great variety overall - so I'll be back to try some of these! All in all, tasty and will return, especially given it being so close to us and want to try some of their noodles too... plus more of their specialty rolls - first time I've had one with hot Cheeto crumbles on top!"
"My wife and I decided to give this a try since the menu looked pretty good. We were not disappointed. We ordered the 'heart attack' appetizer and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not very spicy but it was tasty. For our meal, we both chose the spicy beef bento. Again, not spicy but very tasty. I highly recommend paying a visit to this establishment. Do check their hours of operation because they do close for a bit between lunch and dinner."
"Love Yama and just came for our second time. They have a special appetizer right now called Chicken Karaage and it's amazing. The sushi is consistently delicious and the service is so great. Our faves are the Lollipop roll and Tuna Lover. We also love their entrees. The short ribs are particularly awesome and our kids like the Orange Chicken."
"Admittedly, I had written Yogis off. I do agree that the price is semi-high for being a casual order-at-the counter-restaurant chain. Our total came out to $28.96 (pre-tax) which isn't terrible for 2 people and leftovers. But adding a sushi roll (or 2!) would have brought us to $40+ which I would rather go to a sushi restaurant.Instead we placed our order online through their website:Salmon teriyaki bowl: Starts at $11.49 with white rice. Brown rice, no rice (all veggies) and half veggie, half rice, are all an additional .99¢. I chose the latter although I wish there were an option to specify half veggie, half brown rice (maybe in the comments?). I asked for a side of spicy mayo, .50¢. This brings the total to $12.98. In the comments I asked for a side of jalapenos although I was not expecting to actually get it. I was SOOO happy to get the side of jalapenos, lol! The pan seared salmon was DELICIOUS! Nice and crisp but still moist on the inside! The spicy teriyaki glaze was a nice touch and definitely "spicy" for most (I'd compare the spice level to regular hot cheetos or a medium sauce from BWW). It was a rather small size for being $13 but I was able to portion it into 2 servings!Chicken & beef yakisoba: $9.99, comes with 2 scoops of rice which is not depicted in the picture on their website. Yakisoba is fine, lacks wok hay. Also a little scarce on veggies except for some big pieces of zucchini. The beef was a little dry. Bf enjoyed it although I'd personally skip the yakisoba. Gyoza, $5.99/8 pieces: We can never resist gyoza! So beautifully crisp, so satisfying to bite into! The soy-ginger sauce is a nice touch! The ginger flavor is definite present.Overall Yogis is a quality choice for a healthy, on the go meal!"
