"This was a one man show when I went, but he worked fast and we were served hit, fresh food.Super clean space, you could smell how clean it was!I got the chicken plate and my friend got a gyro and fries.Such generous portions, but could have used a little more flavor on the meat.Fries were amazing!!! I'd go back for those."
"After trying them for dinner one evening, we decided to host our wedding rehearsal dinner here in one of their private rooms. They had a very professional setup and service, even let us use their screen for our projector. The food is great! Love the Chicken Marino and the Parthenon dip. New York Strip is great too. Will be back"
"I placed an order through ubereats for lunch so I am unable to give a review on the service and ambiance. This is the chicken Shawarma platter. So, I'm from the North but born in the Caribbean so for me flavor and spice is everything me. Also, I am a big fan of Pakistani, Indian, Thai and other ethnic food so a lot of the ethnic food has been a little underwhelming for me and my palate. Portion size- this was for lunch so goodChicken Shawarma- decent- if I placed a future order - I definitely would order from here.Their flames spicy sauce- was good but not spicy (I have a high tolerance for heat so take this opinion with a grain of salt. Would I order from here again? Yes, I would like to try some of their high rated items on the menu"
"Gyros, hummus, Greek salad, and Greek fries all 10/10 items. The prices are not bad at all. definitely coming back"
"Cute local restaurant with checkered table cloths and yummy homemade food. Our waitress was super sweet and everyone had a smile. Everything here is from the 90's including the massive television in the dining room. If you're in the mood for hamburger steak, fried chicken and chicken fried steak this is your place!!"
"I have not given a five-star review in quite a while but Kebab Gyros definitely earned it--the food was THAT good. The restaurant itself could use a facelift but I was there for the food and not the ambiance.I ordered 2 Chicken Plates and a side of Tabbouleh to go. After tax and 20+% tip, my total was $22 and there was a lot of food. The chicken plate comes with a huge portion of rice that was so flavorful and 3 or 4 big chunks of grilled chicken that was seasoned perfectly. No need to add your own salt, pepper or seasonings. There was a small side salad (lettuce, cheese, olives, jalapeno, tomato), pita bread and this delicious white sauce (some type of Ranch dressing base) on the side.My husband already told us that this is our new go-to for Greek chicken. I completely agree."
"We are frequent fliers to Grecian for breakfast, brunch and their amazing bakery! Food is always hot and perfectly seasoned. Make sure you try the stuffed grape leaves but order them HOT!"
"Always the best service and so pleasant. My daughter and I split a gyro since the portions are so big we can't finish a whole One by ourselves EVERYTIME we let them know we are splitting the combo and get 2 fountain drinks. They always bring 2 baskets with the group split and a bunch of fries on each of our baskets. This family running it is amazing."
"While shopping at Cool Springs, I worked up an appetite. I took a lunch break in the food court, walking a lap past all of the food court kiosks and finally deciding on Pyramids Cafe.Pyramids Cafe offers sandwiches, salads, dinner plates, and Coke beverages. Some items on the menu include Philly steak, chicken, turkey, BBQ, gyros, falafel, tabouli, Greek salad, and more. The staff was toting their Combo Deal which is any 7" sandwich with fries, rice, or salad, and drink for $6.99.However, I decided on the Falafel Plate ($6.99) which was piled with plenty of food including 4 fried/crispy falafel patties topped with a creamy yogurt sauce, rice pilaf, tabouli and warm grilled Syrian bread. The food was pretty good and very filling. The faIafel and rice pilaf had a slightly salty taste and the tabouli was very light and fresh. The grilled Syrian bread was very warm and soft. I did save room for a refreshing healthy smoothie at the Smoothie King kiosk."
"Food is very fresh and the folks are friendly. There is indoor and outdoor dining areas."

This place is one of the best for gyros! We got the lamb gyro combos and an order of hummus. Our best friends are from Jordan and makes the best hummus we have ever had and this is probably the closest we have found to the authentic taste and style. The owner is fantastic. Even came to bring us the chicken to try. The gyros were bug and packed full. I loved the tzatziki sauce because it was creamier than most. We will most certainly return if in the area.

This was my first time here and I was really impressed. I was greeted at the door like family. The food was really good and the service was exceptional. This is a really great spot to eat a variety of foods and catch a game. They also serves brunch, lunch and dinner.

Service, ambiance, and food are all 10/10. This is my favorite Greek cafe in Memphis and I think everyone needs to try the feta fries and shawarma! The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Met a friend here today for breakfast. No nonsense, aged, but clean restaurant. Friendly, efficient staff. I ordered milk and water and Mike ordered coffee and water. The drinks were brought out in a timely manner. The server gave us time to study the menu. Mike ordered the veggie omelette, with hash browns, and biscuits. I ordered the two eggs, hash browns, biscuit and gravy, with bacon. She brought butter and jelly without us having to request them. The hash browns appeared to be frozen rectangles like at a fast food place. The biscuits were at room temp. Butter doesn't melt so well when not warm. All the food was tasty. We both finished our plates. It was a good meal with no rush about sitting and visiting. I would go back.

So if you follow me, you'd know that yesterday I ate at a gyro place in Clarksville and was more than disappointed. Backstory?! I broke my foot, had to move back in with my parents (can I submit a review for them?) and my food options are limited to fast food and whatever comes out of Mom's kitchen, which in the past 30something years, has NEVER been Greek. Moving on. Consistently fresh, awesome flavor in the lamb and bombastic flavor in the chicken. I kept it Keto today and opted for a mixed grill plate, no rice, no pita, but give me allllll the feta, jalapeños, onions, tomatoes, black olives, and cucumber ranch. And. It. Was. Absolutely. Divine.THIS is Greek. THIS is what my taste buds craved. THIS. ALL. OF. THIS! And I am SO glad they're still up and running through a pandemic. Y'all never disappoint a fan!

"I've been coming to Sam's Greek for about 2 years now for lunch and I love the food here. The parking lot can get kind of hectic around lunch time but there are some stalls on the side as well as in the front that share neighboring businesses. My favorite is the gyro, gyro plate or gyro lamb salad. Believe it or not, their chicken wings are some of the best I've had. They're big and juicy. I suggest their spicy honey.Their customer service is always friendly. Seating is very limited inside the restaurant. But people tend to eat quick and leave.Prices are great. Super affordable for the amount of food you get.Overall I'd highly suggest if you're looking for Greek or a good place for lunch."
"Gyro Star is located in the same plaza as Food Lion, specifically located next door to China King with plenty of parking. Since our hotel was very close by this restaurant, we ended up ordering food to go from here twice, 2 days in a row. I will just share our experience with the last order we made, which was:Gyro Plate, $8.99 prior to tax- This entree came with a small side salad, pita bread and rice. There was a good portion of meat as well. This entree really is perfect for two or leftovers for a 2nd meal. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. The rice was tasty and the pita bread was warm. Excellent price for the amount. Falafel Salad, $9.99 prior to tax- I opted for a falafel salad and had requested that dressing to be on the side. I was surprised to find such large pieces of falafel. It was tasty and had great texture. Very filling and perfect to share or leftovers for another meal. ------------------------- (Total= $20.74 after tax)After we made our to go order over the phone, we were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. When we arrived, we had to wait in line to pay at the register. Our food was ready though so that was nice that we didn't have to wait additionally after paying. Although this place does have seating, it seems like most patrons were just coming in to pick up and pay for their to go orders like us. Gyro Star is a hidden gem and would love to come back here and try their other entrees."
"Good food. Friendly service. Just happy they are here around my corner with Greek food! Thanks!!"
"I wanted a change of cuisine form the Nashville local cuisine and I'm a sucker for gyros. Being from Cali I was pleasantly surprised this place was so close to my hotel. I will be back again before I leave it's that good. You order first and then seat yourself. The service is great but you so to speak make your own plate at the window when your proteins are ready. Super chill space and plenty of seating. But my goodness, the food is so delicious. It is a must visit for sure! I wish they were open late cause I would love this after a night out"
"I'm not gonna lie, when I first walked in I was a little hesitant, and that was extremely judgmental of me. The staff, the atmosphere, the menu signs with what appears to be at least two price hikes between the tape over and markers.......But the gyro sandwich loaded and the humus were both EXCELLENT!! I will definitely come back for more! I got everything on my gyro and it was good and messy. I would suggest eating at home with plenty of napkins; meaning this isn't fast food to eat while driving! Sorry I was judgmental when I came in!"
"I hadn't been to Oxford in almost a year so this restaurant was new to me but being a fan of greek food I had to try it! The inside was gorgeous and the outside looked great too! We had so many delicious things to eat and drink! The bloody mary was so good and so were the mimosas! To eat we ordered the pita chips with a different array of sauces and steak, chicken and shrimp kabobs. Everything was so delicious! I'm very glad they opened this place in Oxford!"
"A solid four stars. Good food, we'll prepared, generously served. If you get there during the rush hours of lunch and dinner, the meats are the freshest.Nicest people in the world. Falafel was great. I look forward to getting my falafel fix in Jerusalem this summer."
"Very tasty overstuffed gyros, crispy seasoned fries, tons of flavorful feta, fast n friendly service by a band of Greek speaking men...So, what's not to like about this place...Yes, it is in in an old burger king restaurant in an area of town that is not the best part of Nashville...but definately not the worst. Yes, it still looks alot like an old fast food restaurant, but it is not intended to be fine dinning and it is clean. Yes, there is a varied clientele...but I think it just adds to the atmosphere. If what you are looking for is a family run Mediterranean restaurant that happens to offer a wonderful version of a greek gyros made with fresh ingredients and a good price, then this is worth a stop."
"Had dinner last night and finished with the martini. So good we had dinner somewhere else and came back for the martini. Lots of boring bartenders in oxford. These bartenders are fun and entertaining."
"Food was fantastic. Authentic. Served fresh and great price too! The service was quick and friendly. Does need more seating but I'd stand and eat before going somewhere else. Highly recommend."
"Great tasting Gyros at this joint in northern Tennessee not far from the Kentucky border, the wait was not too bad at all, employees are very nice and polite, prices were not too bad and the wait was average with no complaints at all."
"An awesome spot for food after walking the strip. I had the Gyro platter ($10) and it was delicious. It was a lot of food, too. Definitely enough for my girlfriend and I to share. The perfect late night snack. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town again."
"Not sure how long this place has been open because there is nothing about this place in Yelp, aside from its name.Ordered food for delivery from this place as I had been busy all day and didn't cook. I have visited a couple gyro places here in the area and they all seem to do a fairly good job taste wise. I decided to go with the "cone" gyro, as they do offer it as a plate and you have to put everything together yourself. Not only was my gyro a lot bigger than most places in the area I had been to prior to this, but it was also a lot more delicious. Mind you it was a bit on the warmer side and not so hot anymore from the time it took to deliver it, yet it still tasted delicious. Def plan on visiting this location in person to see what all they have to offer!!"
"This has always been my go-to when I'm craving some good comfort food. I love their gyro plate with rice, salad, and bread on the side. You get A TON of food that could probably honestly last for 2 meals (but it's too good to spread out so I eat it all in one sitting... oops). Their horchata is fantastic and perfectly sweet as well."
"What a sweet little family business. Their food is great and they give big portions. They are family run and seem to really care about their customer service from what I've experienced. I always get the combo platter and really like their salad ingredients that come with it. It's in the take out rotation for us now."
"In a nutshell, this is a small family business in a strip shopping hole in the wall serving up terrifically delicious gyros. Not much to look at from the outside, and not much to look at from the inside.A sea of parking spaces out front of the strip. A handful of tables close together, so it could easily get packed when busy, but they seem to do a good amount of to go business. Very friendly and efficient. Got the feeling they personally know a good number of their regulars. I can see why there are a lot of regulars. The gyro sandwich was absolutely delicious. Overflowing with a generous pile of crunchy deeply flavorful gyros meat accompanied by whatever veggies you would like. The lettuce was a little brown, but not so much that I was bothered nor tempted to pull off any pieces. Kings will be the first place I think of when I'm in the mood for a local gyro, so overlooking any little flaw in the place or the food, because a neighborhood business like this deserves all the love."
"Driving north on 65, about 30 miles to go, singing off key to a classic Queen song, watching for the buffalo on the hill, minding my own business, when out of the blue my husband says "we need to eat something. Where do you want to go?" I'm awakened from by roadtrip coma. I shake my head trying to make a coherent statement and sentence when the inevitable "I dunno" slides right out. It's straight to Yelp. Lot's of fast food, nope. Then I spot a 4 1/2 star restaurant but we'd have to get off at the next exit. A half mile and 3 lanes to cross, we get off the exit only to be in the wrong lane. A fellow driver must have taken pity on us with our out of state plate and let us cross in front of him, making him miss the light. We get to Greek Cafe and we were the only ones there. They advertised a lunch special but, thank goodness, we only ordered gyros, they were almost too large for one person to eat. I had the lamb and beef gyro while my husband had the mixed grill shawarma. Gyro oand chicken with grilled onions and peppers. They were off the grill rather quickly and I went through the topping bar with speed. It was pretty out so we opted to eat on the patio. Both gyro were delicious and huge. I was able to get through about 3/4 of it before I reluctantly had to stop. My husband managed to finish his and the rest of mine. Better put - we didn't have an opportunity to eat again until after we checked into our air bnb in San Jose. By then we were getting a little hangry but it was also almost 10 hours since lunch. We'll make sure to build time into our travels to the airport so we can visit Greek Cafe again."
"Such a great surprise to find good gyro in Ashland City. The rice could use a little work, but still good. Pray this place stays open. I fear the location may be difficult for them to succeed. Feel like they'd do much better in the wal-mart center. Will be back"
"This was one of my go to lunch places for a while before March 2020. My office is in Goodlettsville so I liked the closeness of it and you could get in and out quickly without it being too expensive. However, the past couple of visits have been longer and the prices are out of my cost range now.The food is ok, if you go while they are busy, you will have issue with the quality of the food and the time it takes to get your order. Since I only go during lunchtime, this ends up being a problem for me. I have to get out and back to the office in a short time so I need to get the food and go.The restaurant itself is clean and there is plenty of space to spread out. There is private parking and it's easy to get in and out of. I visited this past week and one lunch platter that used to be under $10 was $19 and some change. While I understand everything is getting more expensive, I have not making more money so I'll have to pass going forward until the prices go down."
"If you need a super easy and quick meal, stop by and grab something at Kouzina. I always get the combo platter. It has good portions and you get it relatively fast if you're coming home from work and need something quickly and relatively healthy compared to fast food."
"4.5I was running errands on a Friday in mid-Autumn and found myself in Smyrna. This never happens. It was around lunchtime and rather than drive back to Nashville hungry, I thought I'd look around for something tasty and nearby. As luck would have it, I happened upon Zorba Cafe.It was easy enough to pull in and park so that was a plus. It's off a busy road so, I suppose, those who live nearby would enjoy its easy access. I walked in to a bright and clean dining room and a friendly man behind the counter. These are all pluses. There weren't many people in the dining room at my time of visit and not being recognized is an easy way for me to head on back out of the door. The man greeted me and I asked what should I have as a first-time customer. He replied, 'The Gyro Sandwich.' Done. I ordered that and a side of fries. I rethought eating out and asked for it to go.I started to make myself at home when I discovered that making my sandwich was an interactive experience, not a passive one. After shaving off a LOT of meat, I was asked how I wanted my gyro filled (onions, tomato, herbs, and tzatziki). Sandwich made, I waited a small amount of time for hot, freshly-made and season steak fries. Yes, please. I received my HEAVY to-go box, thanked the man (owner) and stepped out into the sun. I sped down I-24 W and made my way back home in record time. The aroma from the box compelled me. I opened it to find a still hot HUGE sandwich with an extremely generous amount of freshly-shaven meat, pillowy pita and all the ingredients I'd chosen. The fries hadn't gotten soggy (fresh makes all the difference) and seasoned potatoes will always be the way to go over bland starch. I got to the business of eating and was thoroughly pleased. The five-star reviews don't lie. Zorba Cafe is the truth."
