"This was a little out of the way, but it got good marks on Yelp, so we went. We waited less than 10 minutes for our table (busy Sunday morning). Our server was fantastic and recommended their cinnatmon roll as a side, which we shared. He did good. Our food and service was all good and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again when in town."
"So, the four of us decided to hit up this spot for brunch today. Everyone went the traditional route and ordered omelettes, but not me--I went rogue with a PB&J chicken biscuit. I asked them to swap the tomato jam for peach habanero, but they gave me plain peach jam instead. Luckily, they fixed it without any drama. The biscuit sandwich? Decent, but no fireworks.Meanwhile, my friends' omelettes were like a game of musical chairs; their orders got all mixed up.The place is tiny inside, and while they have outdoor seating, Mother Nature was throwing a tantrum with rain today. On the bright side, there's plenty of street parking!"

"Majestic Grille is a cool downtown restaurant operating in an old theatre. The food is better than it looks, the service is solid, and the wine selection is rather strong for this price point. I found, however, that the cocktails aren't too great. Definitely a spot worth trying if you find yourself downtown."
"Let me start by saying this place has a cute interior! Also, the customer service was great! We ordered the shrimp and grits not knowing bacon came on it, and my husband is pescatarian so I asked to order one without it and was happy to pay for it but they told me not to worry and made us a new one, free of charge. The biscuits are amazing but the bonuts were my all time favorite! The lemon marscapone was the perfect compliment. We really enjoyed it here and I am glad I had the chance to go while we were in Nashville visiting."
"Today was a pretty good experience compared to before. I sat at the bar and service was good. Food tasted good and came out quickly."
"I visited Subculture to try their Nashville hot chicken tacos, and I've heard great things about this spot. Although it's more of a fusion take on Nashville hot chicken, it didn't disappoint at all. During happy hour, the tacos were priced at $7 for two, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fantastic they were. The chicken had a great kick to it and was packed with flavor, but the standout was how crispy it was--I didn't know hot chicken could have such a crunchy texture! The ambiance was pleasant, with plenty of seating and a quiet atmosphere. The owner was very friendly when taking my order, and the service was impressively quick--I got my food in less than 10 minutes. Subculture has become my favorite hot chicken spot in Nashville, and I highly recommend giving it a try!"
"Of course breakfast in Nashville means biscuits and Biscuit Love is one of the best spots! We've previously dined at Biscuit Love in The Gulch, but this Franklin location is amazing! Built in an older home in downtown, the place is beautiful. Same as in the other spot, you get in line and place your order. You're assigned a table and the food is delivered to you. We started out with "bonuts". These are like the best munchkins you could dream of! Little donuts with mascarpone and blueberry jam were the star of the show. We ordered the breakfast egg dish which was served with bacon, cheese grits, and a biscuit. Everything was delicious but the biscuit with jam makes the dish. Easy street parking and friendly service made this a breakfast to remember!"
"I had a tasty breakfast with some of the folks I used to work with. The omelet was great, the wait staff was attentive to our needs."
"Breakfast is the best! One of my fave all time joints, always go here when I'm through town. Thank you! Don't go a changin'!"
"This breakfast will hit you harder than your mama on report card day, in a good way. Get ready for a happy tummy. Country ham biscuit a MUST."
"Cuban sandwich and cafe with tired for beguines but they where out they have ! Waiting for Cuban and having conversation with waitress she is nice!"
"Stopped in for Sunday brunch around 2:00, and the place was busy. With a quick glance around I v CB oils see mimosa towers and many people enjoying the drink specials for the day. I had the BBQ brisket benne. It is served up on a delicious biscuit instead of an English muffin and as you can see perfectly poached eggs waiting to let that runny yolk flow. The flavor was good, though I'm only giving 4 stars because of the temperature of the food. Potatoes were hot the rest was just barely warm. After seeing a few shows about what may happen to food that is sent back, I don't complain, unless I do so at the end of the meal as feedback. The wait staff was polite and the food came out fairly quickly. If one is tired of overpriced hotel food this is a good stop."

Ok so this time my experience regarding the food flavor was far from enjoyable. The service in the other hand was nice so that's why I didn't say anything about it there. Salt... that chicken was tasteless and dry. I felt I was eating some kind of leather. The waffles were ok. The highlight was the mimosa... it was not too busy and they changed the layout of the seating area since I've been here.

Cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating and good food. The bronut was definitely a favorite of the whole table. It is quite sweet, so I wouldn't just eat that, but I did enjoy sharing it with the table. The stuffed French toast sounded promising, but I wouldn't recommend it. The bronut was definitely way better than the French toast. The firebird sandwich was our favorite of the three sandwiches we ordered with the PB&J chicken biscuit being a close second. The jam on firebird paired well with the biscuit, cheese, and chicken. The breakfast tacos were good, but I would definitely recommend ordering the firebird over getting the tacos. The only two real disappointments were the poutine and the fried green tomatoes. The sauce with the fried green tomatoes was good, but the tomatoes themselves were pretty soggy. The few pieces we were served were definitely not worth the $8 we were charged for them. In addition, the poutine was a pretty watery/soggy mess with little flavor. The pork was bland and not that appetizing. All in all, if you order the right food, this is a great place with delicious food. I would recommend staying away from the fried green tomatoes and poutine. You can't go wrong if you order a bronut and firebird sandwich.

Nestled in vintage charm, this establishment exudes beauty. Our gracious server provided impeccable service, enhancing our dining experience. While most dishes pleased our palates, the Cajun chicken egg rolls stole the show. The spinach dip, though less creamy than expected, offered a unique twist, sparking varied reactions among our group. The dessert flight evoked mixed emotions:- Chocolate mousse: a decadent treat, earning a solid 9/10.- Oreo crust: a satisfying choice, garnering a respectable 7/10.- Carrot cake: a flawless delight, deserving a perfect 10/10.- Cheesecake: a delectable option, earning an 8/10.- Key lime: a fair choice, receiving a middling 5/10.- Lemon: a less favored option, scoring a modest 2/10.Overall, a delightful culinary journey with a few surprises along the way.

Biscuit Love continues to live up to the hype, delivering a good Southern breakfast with modern twists! I've had most of the menu, but my favorites are the b.roll (biscuit cinnamon roll) and the Southern Benny (biscuit, country ham, sausage gravy, egg). Biscuits are obviously good, depending on your taste - these are crisp on the outside and delightfully dense and flaky on the outside. They have a good selection of hot and cold drinks, and a limited alcohol menu (basically bloodies and mimosa variations). There can be a line, but it moves fairly quickly, especially in comparison to the Gulch location. Order at the counter and they'll help you find a table to sit - nice and efficient. Always a good breakfast option!

OMG! this place is so good I could eat here every day. Ok, well the first time I ate here I did come back the next 2 days in a row and brought friends. They had me at "butternut squash". I first tried the butternut squash tacos. Wow!The kids love the empanadas. A friend tried the hot chicken and thought it was great (and hot)!Another friend loves the quinoa salad. I can't say enough about the butternut squash salad. The first few times I had it I took the pickled onions off thinking I wouldn't like them. (duh) Today I ate my salad with them on and loved them. The salad dressing is so good, I want to buy a bottle of it.The crepes are incredible and the Alfajor cookie is almost too much. They have fancy coffee and craft beer that my friends enjoyed. The service is the BEST! And the furniture in this place has the same urban vibe as my kitchen furniture.I'm not supposed to be eating any processed food right now, but I don't think I'm cheating by eating at Subculture. Everything is homemade.Even the other diners are nice, is this place magic? Oh, and they play kick butt music, and the outside eating area has festive coloured hanging lights.

If I could only use one word to describe this place, it would be "delicious." I'm not a biscuit fan, but the biscuit here is hands down the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. It was so good that I decided to order a half dozen frozen biscuit to go. I'm enjoying one as I write this from the comfort of my home in Iowa. Would I come back again? Most definitely! Not only do they have amazing biscuits, their other food options are also delicious. I got the brussels sprouts salad with egg and it was really good. I crushed it! I'm glad my husband and I stopped by this place because we both thoroughly enjoyed the food here.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon- it was 2:45 and we didn't know they closed at 3! We even asked the hostess as she sat us if it was ok and she kind of gave as a stink face and shrugged her shoulders!!! So for that reason alone is why they will receive only 4-stars.Otherwise, I ordered a spicy vanilla latte that was delicious but for the price, the mug could have been a little larger ($5.75 I believe) But the highlight was the beignets!!! They were served with a blueberry lemon curd that was scrumptious! My husband had the chicken sandwich with tots and he said it was solid. (I did taste a couple of tots and they were yummy)Overall, I would not hesitate coming back

"When in Memphis you MUST experience the smiles, kindness and down home taste of BIG BAD BREAKFAST!! The moment you walk in the aroma confirms you're in for an unforgettable experience. The ambience, attentive service and mouthwatering menu options are all there!! I asked the sweetest lady in the world if I were in for a good experience - she said "you'll give me a thumbs up when you're done" She was RIGHT!!"
"Solid and unique breakfast/lunch shop (and an institution in Brentwood) serving up crepes, Portuguese muffin breakfast sandwiches, decent coffee, amongst other (primarily breakfast-y) items.Gets busy and crowded after 8:30 am on weekends and keep in mind, orders for a crepe, omelette, or waffle can take 10-15 minutes to make, so while they do takeout, you should plan your time accordingly.Having eaten crepes in Paris, I wouldn't compare the quality here to what's available there, but I certainly thought the consistency was decent for when I really have a craving for a crepe. The sweet crepes, omelette, and Belgian waffle (which comes decadent with toppings and powdered sugar) are the stars of the menu. Nice outdoor seating that is dog friendly and private parking lot makes this a solid breakfast/brunch find."
"Amazing food, great people! The quiche was so good I bought a whole one for the family! The muffins! The coffee! Clean and cute!"
"I've been coming here for a long time and I've watched it gain popularity over the years to almost an overwhelming degree. There is always a rush but if you time it right you can find parking in the lot out front or usually street parking across the street near the park. No matter how busy they get they always have time for friendly service and a smile at the register. I never feel rushed or like I'm inconveniencing anyone , as one tends to feel at hipster coffee shops. This is more of a beloved Nashville jewel. It still has the old Nashville feel. There is limited seating but there are patio tables outside . Or you can get your food to go and go to the park. I really like the breakfast bagels, and the iced coffee. They have delicious bakery items as well. I never make it to the lunch menu because I'm a breakfast all day kind of person. But I hear it's really good. Overall you can find something pretty healthy , fairly quick, and super delicious while supporting small businesses here in Nashville."
"The pancakes are delicious! The chicken and waffles weren't bad but those pancakes are phenomenal! The service was great and our server was very helpful. They are pet friendly and their outdoor patio was perfect. My pup enjoyed himself. I was really pleased with the overall experience!"
"My family and I went here on May 11th, 2024. The restaurant was very busy when we got there, so we had to wait a little bit on the wait list. Once we was notified that it was our turn to be serve the hotress told us what our table number was, and we went to the counter to order our foods. When we sat down and waited for our foods I just noticed how beautiful and clean the restaurant is. I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes and Candied Bacon. It was my first time trying Candied Bacon and I was so surprised how good the brown sugar goes with the bacon. The Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes was just freaking amazing. It will remind you of eating a regular strawberry shortcake."
"My husband and I usually go to Fenwick's for weekend breakfast, so we decided to give their lunch a try. Or at least I decided to give their lunch a try since my husband ordered the breakfast burrito for his lunch. I ordered their Classic Burger (on the menu as a Cheeseburger) with the Kale Caesar salad as my side. Even though I was never asked what temperature I liked my burger, so it was a little more well done than I liked--OMG was that burger delicious. I normally can't eat an entire burger but I just could not stop eating it. I wolfed down that entire burger.FYI - I usually get the Kevin BLT for breakfast and that is great too. I love the blue cheese aioli combined with the thick slabs of bacon. Yum.Definitely stop in for the burger!"
"The server:Boss Lady Pat was soooo nice, warm, and welcoming. The menu is super simple and the staff are happy to give recommendations and advice The food comes out fresh hot and with a smileI loved everything about coming here. The restaurant is clean, bright and a great place for groups."
"The food was fantastic. Lots of food for a reasonable price. I had great service and frequent coffee refills. My only complaint is that the menu I was given was so badly faded that you literally couldn't read some of the words. They really need to buy new menus."
"My wife and I had a pretty rough morning after our 18 year old dog had just died. So, after leaving our veterinarian's office feeling hungry and saddened, per her suggestion, we settled on a late brunch here. This was my first time eating here, but my wife had visited here several times previously. We were cheerfully greeted and seated almost immediately. The menu had many, many different and delicious choices. In fact, I was really impressed that they even offered steel cut oats!I settled on the avocado toast, with poached eggs and cheese grits. Given how famished I was from missing my breakfast, I also ordered the vegetable scramble with the hash-brown casserole and biscuit. My wife opted for the two eggs and a cake, consisting of over-medium eggs, crispy bacon, hash-brown casserole, and French toast. I was pleased that I could order cold brew coffee here. I liked it so much that I quaffed two glasses of their delicious and robust brew. We were ably waited-on by Ms Taylor and Ms Spyce. They were both gracious, informative, friendly, and very attentive. I'd definitely ask to be seated again within their section! There were just two relatively minor flaws with what I ate. I found that the poached eggs on my avocado toast were slightly undercooked, but I readily devoured them anyway. I also didn't completely love the Velveeta-like cheese sauce that was on top of my vegetable scramble. But, again, I gladly ate it. I thoroughly enjoyed the cheese grits as well as all other aspects of my meals. Food therapy was what I definitely needed. My wife really liked her meal, and especially the bacon. So much so, that I'll have to wait until next time we visit before I get to sample any! The atmosphere was relaxed and leisurely. It was just what we needed after our tearful and stressful morning. I really liked this place, plan on returning again, and highly recommend it. I only wish that they had a customer loyalty program.I'd award this establishment a solid four-and-a-half stars, rounded up to five stars."
"The restaurant employees were so nice! They opened up a little early and even Tim it was before they officially opened they still offered to take my order and get my settled in.The restaurant itself is pretty big. It definitely has a brewery type vibe with the open space, board games, etc. I checked out the menu before I came in and it is definitely one of the more unique brunch menus I've seen. I loved the twists that they put in on traditional biscuit sandwiches. The Squacking Goat was a great combination of flavors and the goat cheese tasted so good and fresh. The smashbrowns definitely stole the show for me though. I've never had hashbrowns this crunchy and seasoned before. The only thing I was disappointed by was the bluegrass grits. It just tasted like grits mixed with grass and I wasn't too big of a fan."
"Wow! I was traveling through Memphis from Seattle, and Yelp didn't disappoint again! I rolled up to Curry n Jerk around 9pm and grabbed the best dinner I've had in quite some time. I ordered the Panamanian pasta with shrimp and chicken, and it was dope! For tyou old timers, "dope" means GREAT!I also had great service from Landon at the bar and all of the staff were super-friendly and attentive. Chef Mike even came to my table, asked how everything was, and explained the layers of cookies it takes to create such a wonderful dish.I'll be back!"
"We got a couple dozen for a Halloween breakfast. Made our own adjustments. These doughnuts are high quality and fresh, with great service."
"Food was tasty but service left much to be desired. My party was only 6 people deep (3 which were kids) and the waitress did not seem to be able to keep up, kept forgetting items and failed to tell us things about the menu that she should have"
"PSA: They seemed understaffed (this was a Monday). I presume folks were still off post-Christmas. This in no way diminished the food's taste, quality, or quantity so I give it 5 stars! The very polite hostess was also our waitress, and although it's a small and cozy restaurant, the time between being seated and receiving service was elongated because she had 2 jobs. This did NOT happen with my first experience on a Sunday. I'm not complaining; this is just informational because the food is worth the slight wait! This small restaurant is located in a quiet corner with ample parking. The interior is clean, the staff is polite, and the decor is charming. If there is a wait, they provide bench seating outside and will text you when your table is ready. The food is fantastic! This place is famous for its house-made biscuits and locally sourced jams, but the entire menu is enticing. During both visits, everyone in my group ordered something different, and we all cleaned our plates. The biscuits are fresh, soft, and slightly buttery, which paired perfectly with my sandwich featuring a boneless, well-seasoned chicken thigh smothered in gravy. *insert mouth drool emoji*B&J's has a small bar offering a variety of drinks, including mimosas and a mimosa flight. I opted not to get the flight but instead chose several options for myself; you can't go wrong with them. Additionally, it makes a cute date spot because they offer bar seating so that you can go for the drinks! The pricing is on par with all other restaurants, so it is very affordable. I will be returning... repeatedly!"
"Don't know knock Gas Station restaurants until you've tried them! We read so many reviews and knew we had to visit Tony's Tacos for lunch. It was a Saturday and they were pretty busy. We dined in and split the Asada plate with beans and WOW! It blew me away. For dessert we had the churros and while I'm not a churro expert - it was the best I've ever had. It was crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. We had a long chat with Tony and learned his history. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College. He works along side his wife of over 30 years. They are adorable. Looks can be deceiving when you drive up to a gas station and that is where the restaurant is nestled. The chips, queso with chorizo - phenomenal and the "Diablo salsa" I wish I could buy by the gallon. Flavorful with a warm habenero burn on the back end. You cannot go wrong here with anything you get. I was told their breakfast was to die for but we arrived too late and they are closed on Sunday. Thank you, Tony, for taking time to speak with us and for the fantastic food! So savory and delicious! Definitely worth a visit and if you live locally, I imagine you will be a regular after your first meal. Enjoy!"
"I ordered a latte with almond milk and my friend ordered a chai latte and we both liked our drinks. The atmosphere was great and its was a very social feel. The only thing I didn't like was the price. I got a medium and it was around $6.50, then after I tipped it was over $7. To me that is more than I want to pay on a regular basis. A once in a while treat is fine but I cannot make this a regular place to visit with those prices.* Note, if part of their proceeds regularly go to charitable foundations or causes, then I suppose I could justify the extra surcharge and it would be a great place to bring friends or work colleagues since you need to have a meeting somewhere anyway. I am certainly going to go here over the green Mermaid corporate giant that serves crud for coffee, especially for group orders! I'd rather support local every day of the week!"
"The brunch menu is excellent with the crab Benedict and shrimp & grits as old favorites. Always love the amazing popovers! Yolanda is the best mixologist and we always enjoy her service. We'll be back by Valentines Day."
"The food was delicious and a traditional southern meal. Blueberry donuts are only served in the morning, so go early enough to get them (I hear they are amazing). They were sold out of some chicken, but prepared some shortly after. Delicious food, and sooo fairly priced."
"Quick, cheap, and good breakfast place. I was in and out within an hour. The french toast was my favorite thing ordered. The server was nice and attentive, the place was cute inside and I liked how each section of the wall had a different little "theme"."
"I tried their egusi soup and fufu and their oxtail once as well. It was very good. I would definitely try them again. I recommend trying their beef patties a well."
"Visited recently and it's still a solid place. Definitely a go-to for me to get some work done and enjoy a good coffee and meal. Worth it just for the good coffee alone!"
"This place has some delicious food, and they were open on Labor Day just a five minute walk from where I was staying, but, alas, a couple servers had decided to call in so there was a long wait, which many people gave up on.The food is worth waiting for, particularly the grits (I got the Chicken Sausage Grits bowl) and their biscuits and egg concoction (Big Ole Biscuit Bake, I think) but be prepared to wait, potentially."
