"The best elevated Mexican/Latino food in the area.A thoughtful menu and well executed dishes. Good service."
"I happened to be staying in the area for a few days and happened across Maciels the first day. In three days I've eaten here four times. But today my mind was blown...! I have never heard of Caldo Tlalpeno soup before, but it looked good when I saw others eating it and so I thought I'd give it a try. And, wow! So amazing. It's like a Mexican Pho with avocado, some white queso, rice, chicken, tortillas and some other amazing things!!!Truly, I've had lots of the things on the menu and they were all great. :)"
"This was my first visit and found the staff to be nice. They were helpful and accommodating. I got the steak street tacos and while they were not the best street tacos I have had, I enjoyed them. Coworker got some sort of burrito and it was massive! All three of us had an enjoyable meal and visit. I would suggest trying it out. You may like it."
"The service was fast and friendly. It was mostly self serve on drinks, salsa, utensils; but the server brought our meals to the table. The tamales were fabulous! Recommend the fish tacos & chicken quesadillas."
"I'm from out of the area staying with a local friend for awhile and had my first triple cheese steak sandwich with street fries. Being originally from the northeast, cheesesteaks are a way of culinary masterpieces. While this isn't quite as good as I've had back home, it's probably one of the best I've had in Florida, Georgia, the Carolina's, Alabama, (sorry, Phillys in San Antonio beats hands down lol). It's filled with plenty of meat, topped full of peppers onions and mushrooms and CHEESY. If you're here, stop on in. You won't be disappointed. Even the service is good!"
"This place is in a strip mall and has limited parking. I have never had a problem finding parking.Plenty of college students come here so it is inexpensive and plain.I usually order carry-out but I decide to eat in this time. The service is good and they definitely give you more food for dine-in then they do for take out. We had chips, salsa, queso, fish taco, gringa taco, and chicken & steak burrito. All the food was great. The chips, salsa, and queso were good but nothing spectacular. The fish taco was better than expected. The gringa taco was the most flavorful dish. The chicken and steak burrito was filled with so much meat that I couldn't even close it.I will return."
"This is the best place to get Tacos in all of Hendersonville. I usually just get the spicy pork Tacos as I believe these are their best. The steak ones are good too but you just can't be the pork ones!"
"If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant with a neighborhood feel, this is the place! We're always greeted warmly & absolutely love to sit outside on the covered patio. Despite being on a busy street, the road noise is always minimal. The food comes out fast, hot & flavorful. Our go-to dishes are the white queso dip, street tacos & the burritos. Love that we can try out margarita flights & enjoy their new wine choices."
"We always enjoy Tito's! Friendly staff at the bar and great food every time. Always consistent"
"Ronaldo was our server and he was super friendly and helpful! This was my husband and I's first time trying this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Such a fun atmosphere and unique outdoor seating!! Food was very reasonably priced and the portions were generous. So so delicious I want to go back just writing this review!!! Definitely try Casa Fiesta next time you're looking for some delicious Mexican food and great environment to enjoy! We'll see you there!"
"Huge menu, very friendly, fast service, and big portions of delicious food. Very happy with our experience here! And great for bringing kids ;)Recommend the ceviche! It's huge!"
"This is the perfect example of don't judge a book by the cover!!When you pull up you will be like, "what in the heck is he talking about? This is a dump." Yep it looks like that. It is right next to a "massage parlor" and it looks very sketchy! Inside the venue was clean and ready for business. It wasn't elegant it wasn't outrageous, it wasn't special... it was a local down home joint that felt comfortable. When we walked in we were the only ones there... that is usually a red flag! However it was 2pm and past the lunch rush so we hoped it was not a sign. They brought the usual chips and salsa to the table... it had a little heat. Not too hot but good flavor! Starting off good. The chips were fresh and crunchy not too thin and quite good.We ordered the queso and some guac of which the queso I loved! It was the right consistency, it had a bit of spice and flavor was awesome!Emboldened by the great queso (my wife said the guac was great as well... I just don't like avocado!) we dove into the menu and ordered. I ordered the carne asada tacos and one special taco the waitress recommended (I should have noted the name.) My wife and son had the flautas... chicken and the rest ordered various dishes. The food was out of this world! Stupendous! Fantastic! It was the best Mexican food we have had since leaving Texas! I wish this location was in Atlanta! Everything was fresh. The tacos were real corn tortillas, small and packed with carne... the special taco was loaded with shredded beef, cheese, and had a cream drizzled over the top of it... it was extraordinary! Wow what flavors! They brought out a hot cream sauce which, if used sparingly, was just en fuego! Every bite was a symphony of other worldly tastes. All six of us fell in love... so much so I didn't take any pics of the food. It was all just so gosh darn good I lost myself in the joy of the dishes. The prices were right.. the service was good the food was purely outstanding! Ignore what you see when you pull up and get yourself over here to try out some of the best authentic Mexican food I have had in years! This is one place you have to get to!Truly wonderful!"

"Needed to take a much needed break from the typical Nashville food fare and decided to come here based on some locals' recommendation for authentic Mexican food! The server was super friendly and helpful when answering our questions. We got the birria tacos and a couple of the soft tortilla tacos as well. Everything was really well priced and delicious. The birria tacos came in piping hot and fresh. The quesabirria tacos are crunchy, savory, and packed full of stewed, flavorful, tender beef. The soup/consommé was light and tasted of beef. My friend really liked putting in some lime juice into it and drinking it by itself too when she wanted to lighten up the meal following some heavy tacos. Delicious!!!"
"We decided to try this restaurant on a whim. We walked in, were seated right away to a booth, which we always prefer. The restaurant was very clean and organized, which seems to be rare in Nashville (smh). The menu was straightforward and the food came out very quickly. The combination fajitas were spectacular, lots of flavor. The combo with the chicken quesadilla and cheese enchilada were very good as well. The waiter was on top of the drink refills. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!"
"I was visiting my daughter in Clarksville, and she ordered lunch from here. I did not have high expectations. I just didn't think Clarksville would have good Mexican food, but I was wrong. I had carne asada tacos and a carne asada mulita. The meat was very flavorful. The green salsa was spicy but had great flavor. My daughter ordered sopes, and they looked delicious. If you live in Clarksville or visiting and want good Mexican food, you definitely should try this place."
"Las Delicias is well-known for being excellent for a reason. The chips are amazing here and the food is always authentic and tasty. It's so popular that it's usually very full. This second location is just as good. The salsa here was really good. Some people mentioned it was spicy but I didn't notice. It was chunky and tasty. The queso was also great and the large was huge enough to feed multiple people. I really enjoyed mixing them and eating them separately.Water here tastes strange to me so I'll get a soda instead. The Ceviche was ok but not something I'd get again. The tamales were really dry and the salsas weren't to my liking so I will skip tamales next time.To Try:Enchiladas: not verde since I don't like their sauceBurrito: Chicken (not al pastor bc I don't like it here)Torta- ask for recommendation?Side: Grilled JalapenoDessertsSide: BeansLove:- Appetizer: Cheese Dip- Drink: Horchata- Margarita: Mango- Margarita: Strawberry (FAV) - Salsa: normal- Side: Pico de Gallo- Taco: ChorizoLiked:- Fajitas: Alambre Chicken- Soup: Aztec (with pico or else too plain)- Taco: Pork Chop (best with side of pico de gallo)Ok:- Appetizer: Ceviche- Drink: Tamarindo- Quesadilla: Al Pastor- Taco: Al Pastor- Taco: Chicken- Tamale: PorkNah:- Fajitas: All in One- Salsa: Roja- Salsa: Verde- Side: Rice- Taco: Gringa- Tamale: Chicken"
"Most people come here for the mimosas and brunch on the weekend. The food is Americanized Mexican food, like nachos and fajitas. It can be a fun spot when there is live music during brunch and you can have a few drinks. Other than that, I didn't find the food to be exceptional."
"Don't know knock Gas Station restaurants until you've tried them! We read so many reviews and knew we had to visit Tony's Tacos for lunch. It was a Saturday and they were pretty busy. We dined in and split the Asada plate with beans and WOW! It blew me away. For dessert we had the churros and while I'm not a churro expert - it was the best I've ever had. It was crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. We had a long chat with Tony and learned his history. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College. He works along side his wife of over 30 years. They are adorable. Looks can be deceiving when you drive up to a gas station and that is where the restaurant is nestled. The chips, queso with chorizo - phenomenal and the "Diablo salsa" I wish I could buy by the gallon. Flavorful with a warm habenero burn on the back end. You cannot go wrong here with anything you get. I was told their breakfast was to die for but we arrived too late and they are closed on Sunday. Thank you, Tony, for taking time to speak with us and for the fantastic food! So savory and delicious! Definitely worth a visit and if you live locally, I imagine you will be a regular after your first meal. Enjoy!"
"I am so glad we stopped here! Loved the salsa, the green was my favorite and it's usually my husband's favorite but he liked it and he liked the red best. We enjoyed their chips and salsa. I love love love their hibiscus tea. We had Asada tacos and they were really good. Ordered a side of napales for my tacos and it was good. Staff is fast and friendly. We are from Texas and very impressed by the tacos here."
"Taqueria Azteca is a veritable institution on the west side, and we are no strangers to their home-grown, delicious menu. We had a bit of a wait for a to-go item, but I never mind that: they ran out of one of the meats we were hoping for, but I figured whatever tacos they made would be fresher as a result. (I was right, and we were floored by all the food made for us). It is an absolute requirement for us to get horchata whenever it's offered on the menu, and this visit was no exception. It was the perfect pairing with our al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo tacos. We also indulged in a fantastic torta; they don't skim on the veggies, lime, or salsa here. The salsa roja and salsa verde seemed like they were made in-house and fresh. The spice within them was the perfect amount of heat. There is a sizeable private lot if you're meeting a larger party, and there were several different table sizes ranging from four to eight-ish parties. There are also outdoor picnic table options available when the weather gets cooler. This one is not to miss."
"This is truly a So-Cali style restaurant. we stopped by here on our way into town and enjoyed a great meal. Parking was easy in the shared strip mall lot and you order at the counter. There are 2 halves of the restaurant divided by a wall with plenty of seating. The barn style wall was closed when we were there so we were limited to the left side of the restaurant, where you order from. The staff was friendly and patient. The menu was easy to navigate and had all the good stuff. I got 3 rolled tacos and also 3 carne asada tacos. We also got a large horchata, which was huge and served in the classic white styrofoam cup. The food came out quickly and there was not enough sauce given so I had to get more, which was no problem. The rolled tacos were great and came with lots of guac. I loved that the cheese wasn't fully melted, just like in So Cal! The meat on the tacos was great, but not quite a 100."

Absolutely amazing authentic Mexican food. Texas is my home and this please is right up with the best joints in south Texas and across the border. Will be back over and over again when in Memphis! Ordered the De Oreja de Elefante tacos. With the chile torreado peppers and pickled jalapeños----- amazing combination. Definitely recommend. The founders son greeted us and explained everything in detail. Very helpful.

Hands down, the best restaurant in Memphis. The food is always amazing and fresh. The staff is always friendly, it's always a short wait for your food and they give healthy portions. I especially love the Birria tacos.

It's more like 3.5 stars. I originally came here because I was told this is the place for a California burrito. The size was good, kinda worth the prize on size alone. The flavor of everything put together was pretty good. The carne asada though on its own, had little flavor, and it was super dry meat. I will say the salsas they had were really good, as well as the Agua Fresca.

I just can't miss in Jackson. The atmosphere is and oasis of good food and Caribbean music. The service was amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable of the food. We talked about the closed early on Thursday due to the severe tornado warning . I applauded the business thinking of employee safety. Back to the food delicious, and flavorful.come on in and have a great meal.

This place is still amazing years later. They are consistently good and serve fantastic quality food that's a good mix of authentic and non authentic. They are always super busy so be prepared for that when you visit- don't expect to get in and out of here quickly unless you order to-go. Their chips are still fantastic and still some of the best in the area. My favorite thing is still the horchata and pork chop taco, which is a unique thing I haven't seen anywhere else. I think it's best with pico de gallo. The chorizo tacos are also really good but the al pastor and chicken are just ok. Still, this place is a favorite for a reason and I love coming here.

My family and I went to Titos in Spring Hill and recommended this location. Friendly staff and excellent customer service! This place was busy and hopping for a weeknight. We enjoyed their authentic chips and salsa. I enjoyed the Texas chimichanga while my family each enjoyed the Chimichanga,Southwest Quesadilla, and Fajita Taco Salad. Everything was delicious and will return on another trip.

"Nice outdoor seating and a perfect day for a margarita! The service is good, delicious large servings of food and yummy margaritas are what you can expect when you eat here! My chili poblano was great! Easy free parking!"
"Hey @NicT, my husband and I were the other couple in the restaurant today. You didn't just say a bad word, you yelled the F word in the middle of a restaurant with children at your table. I know that because you were yelling. Also, why are you concerned what the owner was discussing with us? I had asked him what part of Mexico he's from because my grandmother is from Mexico. He was not doing that to make you notice and he was not loud. Your table was already seated when we entered. It wasn't until you were finished that we heard you complain to anybody about your food. It wasn't loud in there, as it was only your table and ours. So if your food was so as you put it nasty, why did you eat it and then expect to not have to pay? Maybe you should've complained before eating the rest of it.Oh, and we did notice you went straight out to your car to type in your one star review, lol. Maybe you didn't like the food so much because you don't realize that Mexican food depends upon the region. And his cooking style was very much where he is from in Mexico. On the flipside, my husband and I really liked our food. We had wonderful service and a wonderful conversation, about the differences in cuisine and how much I liked the Birria. We discussed that I was from San Antonio. He was NOT contradicting you, he was answering my questions and just chatting. We discussed where they source their meat from and found out. It was a local place that my husband and I go to as well.My husband and I will definitely be back. We had a fabulous meal and enjoyed our food tremendously. I am sorry that you did not. But, that's not my problem. The only disappointing thing during our time there was listening to you, yell and curse. Oh , try their margaritas. The seasonal margarita is cucumber With a bit of spice to it. It was delightful!"
"Great basic Mexican food. Nothing fancy. Not everything needs to be fancy. The beans and rice are good! I like their enchiladas and their tacos authenticos. Good chips and good salsa. I need to try their chorizo cheese dip!Tuesday (is it just Tuesday?) margs are BOGO. My waiter brought me my second one before I was done with the first! House margs are basic. Could be better but I've had worse. 3 tacos, chips and salsa, and 2 margs for $18!"
"Great place for Mexican food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic food and wonderful margaritas. Service super."
"12/17/23: Cute, welcoming neighborhood spot. Staff friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious so that I ate it all and forgot to take a pic. One of the few times the camera didn't eat first. Had the shrimp enchiladas. Nice size portions and reasonable priced.Drinks yummy and strong. Definitely a spot will return when back in Nashville. Thanks to multiple visits earned my mexi-can badge."
"Perfect spot for lunch or dinner in the heart of downtown Florence. The atmosphere is bright and fun and the food is awesome. The portions are huge, so plan to need a to go box for later! If you like Tex Mex this place is a must. I love their beef fajitas!"
"Solid lunch place with fresh food! Though there are a few California taco places to choose from, this is a solid choice. Service is okay, and the place was spotless. Rolled taco platter, piping hot chips and queso, and a salsa bar all made my first visit stand out. Only wishes: fresh made tea and horchata."
"Food is really tasty - meets our California standards and then some. We had shrimp, birria, carnitas and al pastor and everybody was happy. Guacamole was good maybe a little over mixed which seems to be the style in the south. Service was fast and friendly and prices were reasonable. There are outdoor tables and tables as well as tables inside. It's a really good stop for lunch."
"4.5What's with all the tacos? I know. I don't know the why or how of it either. But, somehow, a few years ago, I was on a taco kick. If I still checked in on the app, I would probably have gotten some sort of badge.* So, here I sit: your humble taco expert. Come here.Worth the drive to Hendersonville. I am not exactly bored with Nashville offerings. There's always something popping up and, well-trod though I am, I have not hit every corner of the city.** Thing is, the surrounding suburbs, cities and counties have benefited from Nashville's growth and they are sustaining their own interesting food scenes. So, California Tacos. CT is one of those examples of Middle Tennessee's expanding food scene. Drive through East Nashville and Madison on Gallatin until you happen upon the large strip mall that houses the small drive-thru. While the menu is larger than you might expect, stay on brand. Get tacos. There will probably be a line when you arrive so use that time to study the menu. Order. Pay (very fair prices considering the product)***. Smile. Prepare to wait an appropriate amount of time for fresh, to-order, well-made food. Get food. Ascertain that there are copious containers of green sauce with said order. Drive home.As I am wont to do, I got an assortment of meats so as to glean the depth and breadth of the taco offerings. Legit. Fire. This is what you want. Not only were all the tacos very well portioned with meat***, all the meats are seasoned, distinct and delicious. You won't wonder what you're eating. I availed myself of the steak, chicken, chorizo, pastor, and carnitas. I probably could have stopped eating with three but I was greedy and it was a Monday in late summer so I needed something to power through my work day. By the end, I was pleasantly stuffed. I might have been painfully stuffed but the intoxicating aroma of what I'd just consumed stayed in the air and reminded me that my discomfort was worth it. This spot is crazy good.*Does Yelp still do badges? It's been a while.**Most.***This review is a few years old. If inflation has affected the amount of meat, blame the government, not me."
"Amazing with Mexican cuisine! The food at El Trompo will leave you stuffed and satisfied -that's what she said! Oh all jokes aside the food at El Trompo really does have flavor and soul. Most recently they added birria & quesibirria tacos on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday only). The tacos IMHO are priced but worth every penny. The ingredients are always fresh and the quality never lacks. The service is always great, my family has been coming here since 2018 and its been great to see them go from a small minimal seating hole in a wall to the expanded seating area and bar Hendersonville staple they are today. The service is consistent and the menu is larger but the quality doesn't change."
"If your looking for a awesomeness place to eat this is it 2 people can eat with a liquor drink for 42.00 the food taste amazing and service is always fast"
"Ordered some food from this location for one of my doctors offices and then ordered the carne asada for myself! It was fabulous, though I wish there was more meat. I should have asked for double meat because it came with 3 small pieces, but what was there was fabulous!!!"
