Marcus, Marcus, Marcus!!! Our waiter was AWESOME!! I had to start off saying this first, b/c he was EXCEPTIONAL!! I will say I'm not used to being serviced like this before! I don't know if it was b/c they were not busy (by not busy, I mean "DEAD"), but whatever the reason, I'll take it! We went here, this past Monday, 7-22-2024, to celebrate my husband's bday! We were a party of 5. We were immediately seated. And Marcus came out right after we were seated! He was very pleasant, funny and attentive! Needless to say, he received an astronomical tip! I found (and saved) this restaurant a few yrs. ago when I was watching Housewives of ATL. It seemed really nice so I figured I would go one day on a special occasion! It's a very high-end, expensive restaurant! They think a lot about their food...LOL!! My husband got a steak, which was delicious! Everybody else that came also got a steak that they said was good! I, however, had just eaten so I didn't get anything! Yep, you read it right...didn't get a thing! Overall, the service was top-notch, and the food was great. The reason it didn't the whole 5 stars, was b/c of the thick-butt onion rings!! Toooooooo THICK...and tasteless (yeah, I sampled the appetizer). Try them out for yourself, ask for Marcus and tell'em I sent ya!!:)

Very classic old school kind of steakhouse. Service is always great and I don't ever have complaints on food. Leather booths are comfy and it's just got a very classic style.

Amazing service from our server Mark, everything he suggested was delicious. The 3 of us had the seafood tower (shrimp cocktail, crab cakes and tempura lobster), 1/2 dozen raw oysters, filet, au gratin potatoes and ended with the turtle gelato pie.

The service is fantastic. Very upscale and nice atmosphere. I started with the lobster bisque. It had a nice flavor but it wasn't as thick as bisque should be. My parents split the side baked potato, fully loaded, however it came out like warm, if that. I ordered the side brussel sprouts and they were fair. They had parmesan and bacon on them, so they had great flavor, however, they were not fully cooked and definitely nowhere near crispy, as advertised. All three of our steaks were under cooked and had to be sent back. They also discharged the amount of the full bottle of wine from the menu advertised price. For the cost of the food, I expected slightly better. Service was top notch.

McKendrick's Steak House gets 5 stars in my book, because I had a great birthday dinner here! We made reservations and were seated immediately when we got there. I could not believe how busy it was on a Tuesday at 6:00, but that just shows how it is a popular steakhouse in Atlanta and has been for years. We got to dine in one of their comfy wrap around booths. Our server was attentive and great at sharing the menu with us since it was our first time dining here. He started us with complimentary bread service and some delicious full bodied Cabernet wine. For my entree, I got the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. So tender and juicy. Their sides are served family style and we got the lobster Mac n cheese and the Brussels sprouts. The lobster Mac n cheese is worth every penny. It is cheesy seafood goodness! The Brussels were good, just not the best ones I've ever had, so I would recommend choosing a different vegetable option. For my birthday, the server surprised me with a yummy chocolate cake. It was the perfect way to end my birthday dinner with family. I highly recommend dining here, especially if it is a special occasion. You will really enjoy it!

Great service and awesome ambience. Really heavy on the seafood, especially in their appetizers, which is the only downside here. Great lobster bisque, bacon, and lobster tails!!

I came to McKendrick's for a date night and had an excellent dining experience. The service was wonderful and the staff was very attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. The restaurant ambiance was dimly lit and sultry. We had the crab cake appetizer, which is honestly small for the cost but the taste was splendid. I had the lemon drop martini with sugar rim and it was well-crafted. For the main course, we each had the 8oz. Center cut filet with a side of asparagus. The steak cuts were perfect and flavorful with a side of bearnaise. 10/10 highly recommend!

The atmosphere is fantastic. The food is epic. Service second to none. We will continue to visit the staff is so accommodating

The place is a little hidden, it's on the side, almost back ,of a strip mall we did two different gps and only found it by being persistent. Parking is self parking, lots of space available. Don't be put off by the menu only having a few steaks listed, the waiter has an equally long list of specials, which was so long we had to ask him to repeat his list. We started off with a seafood tower, was nice but pricy for what you got on the tower, for example we each got 1 chilled shrimp, 1 oysters and 1/2 a lobster tail. For my entree I had prime rib, was very good and large enough so I could not finish, my wife had a filet stuffed with fried shrimp, both item not on the printed menu. We also had the mushroom risotto, very good, and the Brussels sprouts not as good. Here is a tip, ask for a booth instead of a table, they look a lot more comfortable and roomy.

Service is great (ask for Mark aka Dods), food was good, old fashioned was made perfectly, all good EXECPT no AC! It was so hot in there I was sweating.If the AC doesn't hit you in the face when you enter, LEAVE! You will not enjoy sitting in a sauna.
