McCray's Tavern Midtown

Can't complain about McCray's! McCray's is an easy place to drop by for a drink or a bite in Midtown. Service was about average, but the chicken tenders here are delish! I got a large order of tenders and found it to be too much, so I would recommend 3 tenders for your average hunger. Wings were nice and yummy as well! For Midtown prices, this place has great value!

Spend a couple of days in Atlanta with my fiancée. We came here with a friend who lives nearby. We actually came here twice. They have a good brunch menu. I ordered the french toast. I wish the serving was a bit bigger, but it was good. It wasn't gooey; it had a nice crispy texture. Our server was friendly. He was busy managing multiple tables but was quick to make his rounds. It was nice getting away from the outside humidity. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the prices were cheaper than I expected, especially being in a popular part of downtown.

Went to McCrays for brunch on Sunday and ordered the breakfast bowl with grits and an espresso martini. The bowl was really good and the grits were creamy which was perfect for me. Mixed with the eggs (I ordered over easy), sausage, and their sauce, it was perfect! I don't usually eat grits often but I'd definitely order their bowl with grits again. The espresso martini definitely was more of a premix type (kind of expected) and not the best. My one friend ordered the omelet and said it was really good and the other ordered the chicken and waffles which was good aside from the smaller sized chicken pieces. Overall, good food and would go back!

While visiting a friend in ATL, we stopped in twice. (Once for brunch, another for drinks)The food was ok. Service was super friendly. They have specials and events during the week. I hear their trivia is super fun. Plenty of seating.

I only had the wings and a drink here but the wings were rather large. Seasoning was descent but nothing to go crazy over. Definitely good bar food!

Decided to try McCrays since it was a short walk from my hotel. I sat at the bar and service was quick and the bartender was super friendly. There was even a DJ, which made the vibe even more enjoyable. Since it was still brunch, I went for the Chicken & Waffles. Chicken was well seasoned and flavorful, and the waffle was perfect. I'll absolutely return to try more menu items!

Kudos to Matt for being such a warm and welcoming host. I was a guest at the Moxy hotel and really enjoyed having McCrays in close proximity to order food. I enjoyed my lemon pepper chicken wings and salad, which was freshly crisp. Looking forward to trying brunch in the future.

Rachael was a great server! Very attentive and nice. Food was great too. Definitely a 5 star experience

My server was kaleigh and she was amazing and nice, she checked in on my table regularly and was topping off our drinks without us saying anything. her service was incredible!!
