The food was spectacular! Everything we tried was flavorful and the taste was on point!The service was great too! We went in for an early dinner at 7ish so got served pretty quickly in the beginning but it got full by 8pm and the service naturally slowed down.The ambiance was nice - we took the table facing the pool!

It's located in the Edison Hotel. The bar is nice I like the theme of matadors on the walls: it's got a sexy vibe to it.The restaurant was great. I loved it. Although it was kind of empty when we were there which made it feel a little sad. If it was filled this would be happening, I think we were there on an off day?Food was great.Wine list even better.Service outstanding!And you get to eat under one of the original chandeliers from the hotel from former days.

We checked this place out for dinner. It was fairly a quiet night. If you can, choose to dine outside. It feels like you're in a tropical island, romantic and beautiful compared to the indoor dining space, which is fancy and modernized. They first serve you bread and some olive oil on the side. We ordered several dishes: Pea empanadas, Charred Octopus , Glazed short short rib tacos, Black Truffle and Fontina Cheese pizza and Arroz con Pollo. My boyfriend's favorite dish was the pea empanadas while mine were the arroz con pollo. The truffle pizza and glazed short rib tacos were okay, but worth skipping them. The charred octopus was good too, but I have had better.We also ordered cocktails and we found the watermelon one tasting the best. The servers were attentative and professional. Personally I wouldn't come back.

Excellent food in a beautiful atmosphere. I dined on the veranda and it had a fantastic view of the jungle garden and pool. I had the jamon iberico, the fantastic maitake with goat cheese, charred octopus, and beef tenderloin burnt ends. Five star food, but only four stars because of a significant delay the last appetizer dish and the entree, the tenderloin, of about a half an hour. It appears that someone in the kitchen forgot about the final dish. While the waitress said it would be coming out soon, it wasn't soon, and there was no apology. At least there should have been an apology or better yet something compted on the bill, like a glass of one of the two glasses of cava. This seems to be a trend at restaurants, even high end ones, with delays in service, either an apology at most or just nothing. I this is the second time recently this has happened to me at the house restaurants at a Marriott property. Are there orders from corporate headquarters instructing restaurants to ignore service errors or delays? All the more strange as my appetizers came out on top of each other, there was little effort to properly space each dish. But the tenderloin was definitely worth the wait, cooked perfectly and delicious. I'm uncertain why they called it Burnt Ends. The bread was delicious as well. Over all, excellent. Will I return? Likely, there are some more dishes I want to try. Work on the timing between dishes though.

While staying at the Edition, my husband and I dined at Matador. We opted to sit at the bar and we were greeted by Max. Max has provided service for us before and he remained the same during this encounter. He is super friendly, attentive, and makes really great drinks. We opted for the black and fontina cheese pizza and the calamari. We ordered a basil jalapeño margarita and a tropical old fashioned. Both drinks were exceptional and the food exceeded our expectation. The weather was perfect for outside seating. Overall, we enjoyed Matador and look forward to dining again in the future.

Enjoyed the Miami Spice menu ($60pp) and the wine pairing to go with it ($40pp). The mushroom and ceviche starters were fantastic and the octopus was our fave main dish. Somm stopped by and was very generous with the pours and took time to explain why that wine was chosen for that dish. We tried all three desserts and the chocolate cake (server fave) was the best! Service was attentive and helpful. Large gorgeous dining room. Located inside Edition Hotel. Valet parking.

This place was superb! The food was flavorful and served nicely. The outdoor seating is perfect for a nice Miami evening. Warm lighting and nice decor. Drinks were delicious. I highly recommend this place!
