I stopped in for a quick lunch here, and was pleasantly surprised with all the options. The food was very tasty as well! Love dedicated GF spots especially when they offer mac & cheese! I had the CITRUS GARLIC SHRIMP BOWL (GF)(basmati rice, garlicky cilantro green beans, honey sriracha brussels, citrus garlic shrimp, cilantro vinaigrette sauce) and I also bought a chocolate chip cookie for the road! The lady working the food serving was very nice and patient as I decided, and it was nice to have the whole place to myself as most people take their orders to go.

A mixed bag, or so it seems. 1. I am not gluten free, and I did not know that Mahana Fresh's specialty is being gluten free until I came to post a review. 2. I ordered this meal from Uber Eats. Your experience may vary. I ordered a teriyaki bowl and a side of macaroni and cheese. I got these BOGO through Ubereats. The mac and cheese might have been the worst mac and cheese I've ever eaten and this includes the time I tried to use almond milk when I made Kraft Mac and Cheese. First, this came to me cold. The cheese on top hadn't melted. This is NOT an Uber Eats problem. I could understand if it was cold because of a time delay, but this was clearly never heated through. As such, I needed to reheat this immediately upon receipt to eat it. The joy doesn't stop here. The noodles had no integrity whatsoever. They were so mushy that I did not need my teeth or gums to break this pasta down. I was able to sufficiently mash the macaroni against the roof of my mouth with my tongue. The sauce was flavorless and watery. Despite having a second one in my fridge, I will likely dispose of this. As someone who will tolerate nearly anything when it comes to food, the fact that I'm choosing to not eat food I have in my possession speaks volumes. If I only had gotten the macaroni, this would have been a 1 star. The Teriyaki Bowl didn't have a lot of teriyaki flavor, but it was excellent. I found that the main flavors were from the wasabi cream sauce and the coconut rice, but this was still a great bowl with lots of protein, good flavor, and balance. I cannot emphasize this enough, the macaroni and cheese is terrible. Everything else though? Really good! If I had just gotten the bowl this would definitely would have been a 4, maybe a 5 star review.

Mahana Fresh is a beach themed Bowl place. It works like any other bowl, fast-casual place. You walk in, you add ingredients to your bowl, you pay, and you enjoy. You can build your own bowls or go with one of their signature bowls, so you won't have to worry about what to put in your bowl.Mahana fresh is all about fresh ingredients, and they cater to all your dietary needs: gluten free, vegetarian, keto, etc. If you're limiting yourself to whatever diet, I'm sure Mahana Fresh can accommodate.Besides bowls, they have wraps, soups, and mac& cheese. I haven't tried those. But the Mac & Cheese are bowls with mac&cheese as a base. It looked interesting. It seems like the Mac & Cheese is gluten free, so they must use some non-gluten macaroni.Their bowls are delicious. They don't look like much. The meats look overcooked, but that's an illusion. They're actually perfectly cooked and juicy. I'm guessing they sous-vide it or something to get it that perfectly cooked. They're also not afraid to add some char/color to the vegetables. They cook them with a bit of char, which I like. The sauces give the entire bowl a good flavor. I like them. The place is no-frills. The bowls are no-frills. You're not gonna get a fancy looking bowl. But they taste fresh, healthy, and delicious. Their prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend them.

I had pretty high expectations based on many of the reviews I saw on Google as well as Yelp, so I decided to give it a try! I wanted something healthy for lunch. I chose a green smoothie and asked to sub Mango instead of Banana as well as add vanilla protein powder. I had a hard time finding the smoothie ingredients on the website but found it in a picture on their Facebook page. That's how I knew what I wanted because the UberEats page doesn't say what's in the smoothie and as I said, I couldn't find it on their site. I also got the Big Mahana Bowl and selected what I felt to be a good mix of proteins carbs and fats. I got sesame noodles because I was feeling that over rice today and spinach as my base, with sesame ginger broccoli, roasted sweet potatoes, avocado smash, tomato cucumber salad, Key West chicken, spicy ahi tuna, and citrus ginger dressing as well as coconut sweet potato dressing. I can't speak on ambiance because I ordered through UberEats, but service was quick and accurate on getting me everything I selected. Everything was packaged safely and nicely. My drink was secured in a plastic sealed bag and my food was stapled inside a brown paper bag. I drank my smoothie in a flash! It wasn't the best I'd ever had but it got the job done. As for the food, it was just okay. The portions are huge which is nice, but I wish the quality/tastes were better. The noodles were very over cooked and soggy, the chicken was pretty tough, and the tuna had several chewy pieces (but also several tender ones). However, the broccoli and sweet potatoes were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The spinach was standard, as was the avocado. The tomato cucumber salad was tasty. I preferred the citrus ginger dressing to the coconut sweet potato dressing, but I chose to put both on my meal. All in all, everything was just... okay. Perhaps I chose the wrong item(s). I would be open to giving a second chance, perhaps rice next time with maybe more veggies or the tofu instead of a meat option. Regardless, I am thankful to have been served and for the experience.

We had this place for lunch, and it was not great. The biscuit was very dry, and everything felt undercooked except for the steak which was very over cooked. The only upside were the sauces. We got this delivered, so I can't talk much on the service or the ambiance of the place.

This was my first time trying the food here. I had the teriyaki bowl and the green smoothie (spinach+pineapple+banana). The veggies that came in my bowl were really good and the chicken was nice and tender. But my smoothie was really watery. I had to request him to remake it, which still wasn't the best. The guy making the smoothie came to the dining room and got ice for it from the drink machine, which probably isn't the best to make a smoothie with. Other than that, the staff was nice, and the place was clean. I probably wouldn't necessarily come back, but I'd try another location in the future.

I was first introduced to Mahana Fresh via the ever so helpful Find Me Gluten Free app. I was starved and in need of something straightforward with the gluten free options front and center. So I stopped in with my daughter who also has a gluten allergy and my husband in tow who gladly eats healthily when with us (and always surprised by how normal eating gf tastes). Mahana has so many great menu options and entrees to choose from. They offer an option to build your own bowl from the freshest ingredients or choose from any of their specials already outfitted with the best selections to compliment the entree experience. The staff behind the counter greeted us with smiles while simultaneously let them know how excites to try them for the first time. The woman even let me sample something I was curious about. She and the gentleman went on to explain how everything is prepared fresh daily, from the purest ingredients sans gluten all the way down to the desserts! After having the bowl that has become each of our standout favorites I've been hooked enough to come back three times in the span of two weeks! I can't believe it has taken me this long to download the app for future savings, upcoming specials via notification alerts and to write this review! Not only is Mahana worth stopping in to for a nice, filling meal it is clean, quiet and worth the trip for us! I really wish there was a location closer to where we reside. Alas, a dedicated gluten free menu and kitchen alive is worth our drive.

Got 2 bowls with the noodles- Brussels were way burnt, noodles weren't soft, steak was overcooked like it was boiled not grilled and both of us who ate it now experiencing horrible diarrhea and gas which I guess I could live with except the food wasn't even good sadly

OMG their food is amazzzzzzzing!! I'm normally hesitant about trying new gluten free restaurants because the dishes are either to dry or doesn't have flavor. But this place...... whew! I tried the BBQ Luau Bowl and added buffalo cauliflower. The bowl was so good, that I did not have to use the ginger sauce that was paired with the dish. I'll definitely be back! Oh, the snickerdoodle was perfect as well
