Taste is subjective- I have learned that people in Pearland enjoy almost everything despite it truly being delicious.Seafood Platter: Everything on this is Frozen then fried. The so called catfish is most likely (Swaii) the most common Chinese iImitation Catfish because it is 1/3 the price. It tasted disgusting. Frozen Hushpuppies/frozen fries/ and what i presume what tastes like pre boiled shrimp battered- severely inedible.BBQ shrimp- The worst thing I have tasted in years. There is a mix of cream and artificial lemon juice that coagulated a sour mustard and lingering stomach curdling glob. I couldn't eat more than one small spoon full of sauce. Got home to some serious nausea. Taste that lasts for hours. Shrimp and grits- Flavorless and bland. Seems like the trend of using pre boiled shrimp hit the griddle with the least flavorful Blackened seasoning possible. Vegetable pieces cut too large and not precooked; therefore the predominant taste was texturally inedible. Again, shrimp so dry a cracker would hold better moisture.Tea- I judge all resteraunts by their Tea. It was not good.Water- I can elaborate enough/ Tap water or a problem with filtration. It was briny and full of metallic taste.Service- Our waitress was amazing. Shameful the food quality was so very bad. Very over priced and very low quality ingredients prepared very badly. How on earth does this place have 4.5 stars? What did I miss? Anyone can buy frozen and fry something. At the least add seasoning. It's a cajun resteraunt with nothing substantial. God awful and the prices do not match.

First visit was on a Saturday with a group of about 12 people. service and food were excellent. However, a most recent visit was for the Sunday buffet. I admit that we arrived about an hour before the buffet was to end, but the burners had been turned off of most of the food, and some of the items had not been replenished. fortunately, the wait-staff promptly took care of our concerns however I don't think we should've had to ask. We'll probably return for the Sunday buffet just a lot earlier. But were really that late?

I was really looking forward to having brunch for Mother's Day. Because of the size of the restaurant we were told we had wait an hour. We got there 20 minutes before they even opened. They said there were reservations made for larger groups that weren't even getting there until 10:45 so they couldn't sit us. Should be all first come first serve no matter the size of group. I even called to make a reservation but they said I didn't need one. I posted something on google and their responses were very blunt and unprofessional. No apologies at all or sorry for the inconvenience.

Ok experience, nice atmosphere but I ordered a few things from the menu and it unfortunately wasn't that good. I lived in Beaumont/port Arthur and ate plenty of gumbo and boudain when I was living there. This place isn't that great. It's ok. The gumbo was a hit on the dry side. The boudain balls were gross and had no flavor whatsoever. It was like eating cardboard paper. I'm not impressed. It could do better.

So glad I went with the appetizer sampler. It was my first time here. Split the sampler with my sister and we are both stuffed. Her husband got the cheesesteak sandwich and her son got the Cajun patty melt. Everyone left happy. staff is niceDefinitely would come back. The crawfish empanadas (pies) were my favorite thing from what I tried.

I have stopped by Magnolia Cajun Comfort for dinner twice, both on weekdays. Located in old Pearland, this Cajun restaurant is in a shopping center so parking won't be a problem. A couple of things stand out to me about Magnolia. First off, their chicken fried chicken is to die for! It's a generous portion, the chicken is fried just right with a crispy exterior, and the andouille gravy gives things a little kick without being overpowering. Along with the mashed potatoes, it's a five-star dish. As are the fried green tomatoes. Some of, if not the best, I've ever had! A classic Southern dish that is done to perfection here. On my second visit, I had their bone-in pork chop which also comes with mashed potatoes and a crawfish pie. The pork chop was about average as it was a mediocre cut of pork. Not thick or juicy enough. The crawfish pie was solid but I'd choose the fried green tomatoes any day of the week. Service is standard and the restaurant has a homey feel. And here's one last thing that's notable: the chef used to work at Del Frisco's Steakhouse. And he was voted one of the top 20 chefs in Houston back in 2018. So now you know Magnolia Cajun Comfort boasts some serious chops!

Very cozy spot for great Cajun food in the heart of Pearland. The ambiance was very warm and inviting. On this visit, I tried the Chicken Fried Chicken. The chicken was perfectly fried and crispy. It was served with the most amazing mashed potatoes with delicious gravy. I also had the chance to try the gumbo, which was very flavorful. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this spot. The food was some of the best I've had in the area. The service was fantastic. I can't wait to come back!

Went there with family who live in Pearland. Got seated in a nice quite room to the side of the main dining area (thank you, 90 year old mom appreciated that!). Cocktail selection was limited to cocktails in a can. They did have wine and some beers, although they were sold-out of Coors Light and Shiner so we just drank whatever was available. Appetizers such as Boudin balls and egg rolls were very good, red snapper entre was delicious and more food than one person can eat! The crawfish etouffee was delicious! Would definitely go back next time when I am in town. PS: Service was also good, very attentive staff. Thank you all for a nice dinner/evening out.
