Me, wearing a skirt and super-femmy hair style: Excuse me, where is the bathroom?Waiter: It's at the end of the hallway and then turn to your left.Me: Thank you.The hallway: [is totally straight, with the men's room on the left and the ladies' on the right]Me, annoyed at being visibly trans: Ah.Anyway, the food was okay, I guess. Chicken tinga was okay, al pastor was dry and not terribly flavorful. Everything needed a touch more salt.

Was not impressed with their customer service at all.So much so that I decided not to eat.I was with some older people that needed to stay to take their pills with food and could not wait for another table at a different restaurant. The server was very rude, made me feel like I was doing them a favor by coming to eat there. We could not have separate checks, even though we were at separate tables, because they add 15% gratuity to large groups. And the cherry on the cake? They would not let my mom keep a menu to peruse and order something later. It's such a little thing but my final straw.I hope yall have a better experience than I did.

Service was subpar at best. I had to ask for silverware, after the food was delivered. Secondly food was cold. Literally tortilla out of the bag and on plate. Al pastor cold from the fridge. Only thing warm was the tinga and I bet it's because it being warmed. I ordered the arrachera and it was cold.I ate the food because I was already displeased and didn't want to have a worse experience. Ambiance was actually decent on this holiday. Very disappointed. I also wanted to review them for my blog but not after a terrible experience such as this one. You can see in the pictures that the tortillas weren't event thrown on the grill for 1 second

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! We came here with 6 people and they sat us immediately! Our server was amazing! He kept our drinks full and great recommendations, too. Please note this place is not wheelchair friendly, they have over 20 stairs you have to go down because it's on the lower level, I don't know if there is an elevator somewhere I didn't see but we had a stroller and had to take the baby out to bring the stroller down with us.We shared the queso fundido and added chorizo, and that was the best decision! They give you tortillas to pull apart the cheese, the cheese was so stringy, and the chorizo was amazing! They have this awesome deal where you get 12 tacos for $57, it was perfect for us because we were gonna get 2 tacos each anyway. I chose the chorizo taco because it had mango salsa, and it was to die for! I could eat that taco every day! I also chose the pastor chicken, and the pineapple salsa was the perfect pairing. I got the fruitas margarita because I had to try thier tequila. It was perfect! It's not too sweet but yet really strong. I liked the sugar on the rim and the dried fruit added. They do not skimp on the alcohol! It was so strong that I was feeling it after only half. This place was so amazing, I highly recommend coming here!

Great place for anything that has to do with tequila or mescal or sotol. It was mid to late afternoon on Tuesday. We perspired like nobody's business at the botanical gardens nearby (it was super hot in its mid 90 degrees). We were desperate for something that'd quench our thirst. Machete was simply a perfect place for it.Whether it's a margarita or shot of tequila or mescal or sotol, you will find something on the menu as it's got some variety. I didn't eat any food though (some of our friends ordered chips and salsa and shishito which I didn't partake.)Service was prompt. This is not a super fancy place in any way but fancy appearance doesn't always guarantee the quality of the food they serve. Price wise, they are right at the point where they are not too expensive (and too cheap may not be good from time to time either.)What I had (A Day in Tulum) hit the spot. It's refreshing and easygoing at the same time. If you are looking for some beginner/basic margarita this might be what you should order. My friend's Mescal Blackberry Smash was nice and smoky. I'll probably order this one at my next visit.

A bit of a surprise. I've been in Machete's four times and the first two times, I viewed it as a full selection tequila bar. I didn't think much of the food. That was my mistake. The last two times I have come, I ordered two different Dishes and found the both were very tasty, well prepared, and well put together by an excellent chef in their kitchen who knows how to prepare upscale Mexican food. The cost of the food is moderate, but it is a terrific Mexican food restaurant plus it has an extensive tequila bar. I will be returning.

The food and the service were excellent. Loved the feel of the place- really colorful and fun. The prices for what you get were rough though. $15-16 for a short margarita, $6 for a street taco. I get that rent for that space is probably outrageous, but I wish the prices were more on par with what you got. Mind you, everything tasted great- the tacos were heavy on the meat and unique, with lots of fresh flavor. We adored the hibiscus margarita and the Kona had amazing tropical flavors. Everything was spot on flavor wise. I would absolutely go during happy hour, when the prices seem much more reasonable.

We were having a crappy day, so happy hour was in order. We had a great time here drowning our sorrows. The skinny marg was awesome, and the $5 pineapple shot was also tasty. In addition, we enjoyed $3 tacos and some guac, salsa, and chips. I would definitely return.

This is not a place to go to relax and talk, inside it's loud and busy. But despite all the activity, service is great. Our waitress brought us a bottle of water right away and got our orders quickly. We were a little surprised at how pricey the margaritas are (the Machete - house marg?, top of the list is $14 ) but they are good and strong (we ordered a couple different ones). The selections of salsas is totally worth ordering, all of them very flavorful and different, even the chips are yummy. I'd recommend to order the guacamole because it's also good and come with the salsa. The selection of tacos is impressive and the vegan Yaca Y Champis amazing! No wonder this spot is popular!

I met a friend for lunch on a Sunday at Machete. She recommended we order the chips and salsa. Most of the salsas were a bit spicy for me but the chips are clearly homemade and unique, they were addictive. I ordered an Al pastor taco and Arrachera con Chile Relleno Taco. The later was so spicy I had to remove the pepper just to finish it. The Al Pastor was very flavorful. Both tacos were decent size so I was full from that. I had a skinny margarita with salt on the rim. The margarita was as expected but had a bit too much ice in the glass so when I drank it slashed a bit. I would definitely go back and highly recommended stopping in if you are in Cherry Creek and want a quick bit of Mexican food.
