Great bar with yummy Mexican food, tons of TV's, fair prices and friendly staff! Love meeting up with my friends who are locals - great spot to watch sports!

Server was nice when she finally found me. I was in the back and it was empty other than me. I sat near the kitchen. The food was cooked by a young 20 year old white girl and that's how it tasted. I ordered the enchiladas. Awful. They came plain bc I said no green chili. So they didn't have cheese on top and no sauce. I asked for red chili. Chips on the side and rice on the side. But no melted cheese to eat with the chips from the enchilada and they tasted like they were from 7-11, salty. But good if you like that kind of thing. It was $24 I had water. Awful. Prob the worst 'restaurant' I have ever been to. HOWEVER, it's connected to a bar so if you get drunk (I did not) it would be more like a bar with makeshift Mexican food. I overheard a lady say her friend loves the burgers ...so I'd try that next time. I'm sure it could be fun with friends. Maybe. Only 2 stars bc my server was new and nice. Food was zero stars. As far as food, if you want enchiladas ... just go to Taco Bell. I did eat it, I was hungry. It was edible, but not good. Womp womp

Everything! Could improve , terrible service, terrible food, taco shells out of a box ,bartender very rude, everything you read in the comments about how bad this place is , are so true , only regret I should have read the reviews before I came, and the cook does not wear gloves, might be a health issue needs to be addressed.

To set expectations, this place is more like eating Mexican food in a neighborhood bar than eating in a Mexican restaurant. The food is surprisingly good! Ask you server for recommendations. The fried tacos were great and so was the relleno. This is a neighborhood bar. If they haven't poured that particular tap in a while, your beer is going to come out a bit warm. This is the kind of place that uses a mix for their margaritas, not fresh lime juice. The servers are trying to keep up with everyone at the bar as well as those at tables and they are going to mess up part of your order or deliver your guac to the wrong table. But, when they get you the right food and domestic brew, it will be great. Keep calm and keep your expectations low and you will have a great time.

Disappointed!!!Overpriced bean burritos. Ordered 2 bean burritos with chicharrones and chili inside. Burritos were as small as Santiago's breakfast burritos for $9.25 a pop. Chips and salsa were OK at best, $4.75 standard price nothing to brag about. Still left a $5.00 tip, because I'm a tipper..... Not sure why I just paid $25.25 for 2 tiny bean burritos and chips & salsa. ($30.25 because I tipped)

Unless Gina and her husband are in restaurant my experience is that unless you're local and in there all the time you're ignored ! I have had to leave restaurants several times after waiting 20 minutes and no one even acknowledges that you're there ! my father who comes in there often is frustrated and has the same problem and I've had, friends tell me the same thing -you know who you are Blondie! 1star

A little misleading, but the place is a pretty solid family vibe restaurant. Looks like a hole-in-the-wall type bar with all the black colors making the place darker than it needs to be, but it is actually a solid family restaurant.The wait staff is also quite friendly and mellow. The food itself was done pretty quick. The breakfast burritos are pretty standard, but are done well and has an extra oomf when smothered.

Horrible margarita. Basic chips and salsa. The Chile relleno was over-smothered to hide the horrible fried burnt thing underneath. The best part was the rice and beans, but it's hard to mess that up.

I have frequented this solid family restaurant bar for many years. Service, food and ambiance are always 100%. I've noticed it has changed into a neighborhood bar; without the nasty bar food. I hope Lucero's continues to thrive. If you're look for great food at a reasonably price this is the place you should go! Plus they now have for locations!

Service was good, food was plentiful but nothing special, good place to have a beer, nice people.
