DO NOT JUDGE THIS PLACE BY THE LOCATION. It is a little sketchy strip mall just off 45. But trust me, you want to try this place if you like good homemade Cajun food prepared by happy and proud staff. I visited this location for the first time. We were greeted by Carmen who was super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed her happiness and positive energy.. My fiancé and I shared a large shrimp gumbo and a fried catfish and shrimp platter with dirty rice and onion rings on the side. Everything we had was beyond yummy and made from scratch. The breading on the shrimp and catfish was particularly tasty seasoned but not too salty. The onion rings may have been the best I've ever had! All of this food for $34 plus tip! Very affordable!! I don't know how they do it! The serving size was generous and we couldn't finish everything. The place was exceptionally clean and the restrooms were spotless!Conclusion: I love this place and will be back many, many more times for the food that is made with care, love and pride. One downside (sort of) is that they do not serve alcohol. However, they allow you to bring in your own beer or wine (plus!).

So thankful the yelp reviews led us to this place on our roadtrip. Catfish/shrimp did not disappoint. Onion wings were hot. All the food was fresh. Service was great. Restaurant was clean. No complaints.

Hmmmm the shrimps were so delicious, the catfish needed more flavor but still eatable, but those onion rings no flavor, soggy and just no. Service is amazing and fast! The restaurant itself is clean and tidy!!

Stopped by today and was pretty disappointed. It's been a minute since our last visit but the food and portions have definitely changed. The seafood fondue is now runny and flavorless. It was a favorite. The mix platter now has 1 less boudin ball, hush puppies, 1 less stuffed jalapeno. The prices are about the same but the changes didn't Sitwell. It will be awhile before we think about returning.

Great restaurant, plenty of parking. place simple with great comfortable seating. My wife was a little skeptical at first since I had her meet me there.We were greeted promptly on our arrival. You are order your food at the register and they bring it to your table. My wife ordered grilled catfish, and I ordered the grilled redfishMy wife side of mixed veggies was cooked and seasoned perfectly for her. The fish was good, fresh, and temperature hot. She also ordered hush puppies and loved them.I ordered blackened redfish and it was tasty. If you are looking for New Orleans style blackening they missed it, but it was seasoned very good and will work for most tastebuds. I ordered the red beans and rice. They were presented well, but again lacked that real Cajun flavor. I added hot sauce and it brought it alive. I also ordered hush puppies and they were very goodFor dessert we ordered caramel tres Leches. If you come here you want this dessert. It was awesome.The restrooms were very clean

Humble establishment, rich in flavor! We frequent this place for to-go orders, when a taste for Cajun food compels us. It hits the mark, always so satisfying.... in a stick-to-your-ribs way.Favorites are the fried boudain balls (get extra remoulade sauce to dip!), the gumbo (with a nice dark roux), and the decadent Seafood burrito (a fusion of Louisiana meets Tex-Mex). Real good, y'all.(Thank me later.)

The staff are very friendly and the fried shrimp has a crunchy coating and seasoned to perfection. Green beans and coleslaw are delicious as well.

If you want good, old fashioned cajun food at a reasonable price with no frills, this is THE spot to go if you're in the area. First off, service was fantastic. Great southern hospitality from all the employees that we interacted with.Now to the mains:Crawfish etouffee: Large plate of crawfish etouffee with a side of garlic bread. Delicious and good enough to shareGumbo: This gumbo takes the cake. Full of protein and taste, another great winner.Fried fish: How can you go to a cajun place without getting fried fish? Yeah, you can't. These pieces were delicious, not overly breaded or fried or salty, and full of flavorSides wise we got hush puppies and boudin balls. Both amazing.The common theme here is that everything is great. Thank you to the yelpers who eventually led me here!

That was some damn good food! The shrimp are huge, the Seafood Burrito was so much that I could only eat half...which I just finished the second half for lunch! I thought the prices were awesome for the portions!! Highly recommend!

I ordered the seafood burrito! It is a big portion, you can definitely share it! The flavors were good and all the seafood together was just right! Nothing was overbearing. This was my first time and definitely going back! I can't speak on the service because I did not go in to pick it up. But the the food was really good!
