Picking up a light dinner for my husband and myself. We decided on salads and went to the Decatur restaurant to order. Unfortunately they replaced the wedge blue cheese bacon salad with warm salads. We didn't fully enjoy either salad. The grilled chicken on one salad had small portions and the lettuce too soft. The other salad had very hard croutons. We'll return for tasty items on the menu. However, service at the bar while waiting was on point and friendly. The ambience was a UGA and Alabama game night; buzzing.

Good food, okay service.Was in the mood for bayou cooking and decided to check out my neighborhood spot. Went on a Saturday afternoon, so it wasn't too crowded. Placed my cocktail and food order and am disappointed to say that the food took longer than usual. As a matter of fact, a couple that came 15min after me received their food at the same time I did. I was not happy about that. I ordered my usual, catfish and shrimp + red beans and rice + spinach. Not one complaint when it comes to the food. It was delicious and I'll be back again, just wish the service was better as I've had service issues at this location before. I would definitely recommend this restaurant at any of their locations. Health Score is 97 = A on 3/9/24.Today we dined here for dinner. We were greeted as soon as we entered. Our waitress May was great too. She took our order without writing anything down and everything was as requested when we received it. We both ordered the Blue Cheese Wedge Salad with Fried Shrimp. It was so delicious. The ambiance has music pumping through their speakers. It was spicy gumbo for me.

My daughter and I love this location only. Been going for years and never had any issues until yesterday. The oysters were very small. I know at some places the sizes can vary but I've never had them this small here. I've been ordering the salmon stack since they started serving it. Even though it's not on the menu anymore, it's still available for order. I know how it should be displayed and taste. It was an awful experience. The salmon was overcooked, dry, and not seasoned. But the sauce smothered it as it was supposed to. Speaking of sauce, my plate was missing the extra sauce and I had to ask for it. The waitress told the manager and I received some but it was very soupy, bland, and not even the same color. It was put together and obvious that it was rushed to bring out to me. The portion of grits was reduced also. For the price to be the same, I expect to receive this meal in perfection each time. I asked the waitress if there were new cooks in the back because the whole dish was "off." She knew and saw the disappointment even when I voiced it and had no care in the world although she was friendly. I will give it another try next month and hope that I get the "normal" taste for this dish because the salmon stack is sooo good.

Had a casual lunch today. It was New Year's Day so we were able to be seated right away. Our server was (Tunequa T) AKA TT and she was efficient, friendly and courteous throughout our visit; Very attentive without hovering. She kept our drinks refilled and our order was delivered just as we specified. Food was all perfectly seasoned and served piping hot. Tim had the blackened redfish and grits which comes smothered in a Cajun bbq sauce. It had a perfect blend of spices and the fish was fried crispy. It still maintained some of the crispiness even after being smothered in the sauce. The grits were creamy even though the look thick and stiff. I ordered the fried alligator bites and a side of garlic sautéed spinach. The alligator is served with a dipping sauce. The bites were fired crisp but they still maintained a juicy and tender texture. Ti

The food, service and ambiance all perfect for a peaceful delicious dinner! Gumbo, shrimp jambalaya, and crawfish étouffée were all delicious!

It was less than a busy time when we went and we took my mom out for her bday. The food is priced for what they serve. So you definitely get your money's worth. I ordered a gumbo from their appetizer side and the bowl was a big deep bowl, so it was worth it. There was no okra in the gumbo so I was happy about that. The Rue was seasoned to perfection. I did have some shells in my food from probably the crawfish but over all it was good. The oysters were also good, not like the fresh ones in New Orleans off the bayou but they were very tasty. They do have a covered patio area also you can sit at. It has plenty of parking, located near Walmart, Joann fabric and LA fitness.

I dont know why I agree to come here. The food is just okay. The grit cake is decent. The okra is the best thing on the menum the service is ok. There is always a lot of servers walking around. Its always crowded during lunch time.

So I've visited Louisiana Bistreaux twice: for my birthday & for my mom's birthday. I got put onto Louisiana Bistreaux, after sampling some of their food at Taste of Buckhead 2022. The food was delicious and after realizing that they were Black Owned, I had to see what else they had in store.Parking: Free parking.Service: The service here is good! Everyone here treats you like family. The waiter for my mom's birthday was Henry. Henry was extremely nice and knowledgeable of the menu. This was my parent's first experience, so he made sure to make them feel welcome!Atmosphere: The atmosphere is dope! Gives very much Southern vibes, Louisiana if you will. There are no booths but plenty of tables.The Food: The food is really good. On my first visit for my birthday, I had the Fried Shrimp & Fried Catfish Platter ($26.99). BUSSIN! On my mother's birthday, I had the Jumbo Grilled Shrimp Plate w/ Dirty Rice & Corn ($24.99). It was really good! The best corn I've ever had in my life! On my first visit, my wife and I got the Cajun BBQ Shrimp and though it was really good, it only came with 4 shrimps. That was disappointing considering the price. This is the ONLY reason I'm giving a score of 4 stars! The drinks here are super strong! I had the Caribbean Hurricane and I felt it halfway through.Overall, I would definitely recommend Louisiana Bistreaux!
