The neon open sign was on and in the front window it was 9:15 pm the door was locked I double checked, I could see staff so I drove to the drive thru, I asked are you open....she said we are closed, I mentioned the open sign lit up in the front window she ignored me and asked what I'd like to have, I ordered the chicken and fish combo. The fish was over cooked, the chicken had been sitting for a while, she gave no condiments. I checked online before I drove there to check the hours of operation, I was well within that, they simply shut down early yet left the sign lit and locked the door.

Looks and doesn't smell that great inside but the chicken is excellent and so are the sides. I think the smell is coming from the attached gas station.

I had the best fried chicken I've eaten in a long time. I ordered the cajun chicken fried rice and was not aware that it came with 2 fried chicken wings. Everything was hot and fresh. I also ordered one fried chicken thigh and I was blown away with how good it was. The place was also very clean.

I went there today at 12:30 was it crowded I was probably out in 10 minutes. I got chicken and catfish to go along with fried okra. The catfish was outstanding chicken was good but not as spicy as Popeyes. This is at the corner of North Eldridge on Spring Cypress used to be Church's chicken. Very convenient for me and I will go back

So I've seen these restaurants here and there since moving to the Houston area from Baton Rouge in 2018, and my barber told me they were really good. I finally gave them a try May 18, 2021 and I was very satisfied.Rather than fried chicken, I tried the two piece fish with mashed potatoes (no gravy). Basically, it tasted like TeTe Kim's soul food; you know those ladies soliciting to-go plates at the barbershop--like, what she's doing is hella illegal, but everybody flocks to her? That's this: EXTREMELY good.So my order included to pieces of catfish, a cup of mashed red potatoes WITH skins and a roll, piping hot, all for $7.57 including tax. The roll was definitely a generic roll, and the fish frozen. Like I said, the food reminds you of solicited to-go plates. And it was so, so good, in my opinion, definitely a nice lunch spot. So I'll be back there to try some shrimp and eventually some wings.
