If you're looking for a unique place to grab a bite of food, cold beer, and cool views, check out Louis' Bait Camp & Restaurant. The burger is huge and amazing! Po Boy as well! Only 3 shrimp on the 1/2 sandwich, but they were big shrimp and ample for lunch. The fries & onion rings were fried to perfection - not too long, not burnt, not soggy, just delicious. The wait staff are very pleasant. We had our check quickly and were in and out in a jiffy, which is perfect for lunch. The bathrooms and dining areas were clean. There are tons of tables so lots of room to distance. Several TVs on with different games too!

Good food and good service. The house salad and blackened catfish sandwich are delicious.

Given the location and the scenario, this place exceeded my expectations by far. I ordered the seafood platter and it was quite decent In addition, the place seems clean and service was nice. Would recommend a spot to sit back and relax instead of sitting in traffic heading down to Galveston

The whole visit was a cluster! First the waitress changed. The new waitress was totally clueless. After waiting for 30 minutes and asking about our order the waitress came to the table and said our food was delayed. Can you say someone forgot to put in the order?When the food came it was cold. It should have come out at least lukewarm! When I complained about the cold fries she went to get fresh ones but came back out with a Togo box saying they needed the old fries before they could make us fresh ones. In what world is this the norm?Overall a worst experience. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants until the son took over. Now it is my least favorite and I will never be back!

Unfortunately I have to update my review negatively. Food was really good. Sat outside only a couple of tables being serviced. One of the wait staff I saw had her mask below her chin, and even though the door says masking is necessary I was the only one wearing a full mask! One of the male employees was sitting outside holding court smoking by the stairs with at least 4 other people not one of them masking(this was on my way out) our wait staff female was sullen and no mask at all not even pretending to mask. C''mon people! ( I have updated my initial review after being corrected that the employee outside smoking is not the manager, the correction was from the manager/owner in my DM) I am also adding that the towel used for cleaning the table was a previously used towel that went from table to table. Salt and pepper shakers on the table for all to use, same laminated menu for everyone to use. ( no paper menu or QR code to scan to phone) This place is a place we and our friends would go often under normal circumstances without a Covid pandemic. In fact I brought a friend with me that had never been and she enjoyed the food. Fun place to go if Covid protocols were being followed.

Shrimp tacos!!!!!!! Damn good. Severs go above and beyond!! Porch is comfy and byob! Great place

BEST BURGERS EVER!!!!! Don't be thrown off by the fact that it's a bait shop because it's got a lovely restaurant inside with a bar and pool tables. Great atmosphere to hang out in for sure. Service was friendly and attentive. Excellent cheeseburger and delicious fries and onion rings were had! They also had an extensive dessert menu and I had amazing brownies al a mode! Rich and chocolatey and covered in powdered sugar! Amazing experience!

Good place nice restaurant next door. Baits a little high but convenient. Also boat ramp.

Very laid back place. Burgers are great. Beer and wine only, no hard liquor. Lots of menu options to choose from.

What happened to this gem?! Food has gone way downhill. Service was great, ambiance wonderful as always, but DANG! I got the seafood platter and there was ONE single hush puppy on there and like twelve soggy French fries! The fried oysters were ok the two tiny shrimp fried to oblivion but the soft shell crab with one claw missing was surprisingly decent enough. Soggy batter. My son ordered his burger medium rare and it came out medium well. I saw the look of disappointment on his face and I told him to try it because they make great food here. He tried his best and he isn't very fussy and with one third gone I tried a bite and it was like a saw dust hockey puck. He wasn't going to eat anymore and I ordered him ice cream, then told the waitress and she said she couldn't help us out. She was sweet and apologized. Wifey thought her fried fish was ok. My other kids had their food, pasta Alfredo w/ shrimp, fish sandwich which was Filet O Fishesque boringI Crab dip w/ toast deserves it's own 5 stars. I want to love this place but they need to bring their game back!
