Lotus Seafood

My daughter and her boyfriend was visiting and wanted to come here for her birthday. They have a happy hour so a lot of food items have discounted prices. They serve the food in togo containers which is very convenient so you dont have to do all the extra work to take home your leftovers. The staff greeted us from the door and were very hospitality. The food was fresh and hot. The only thing I would recommend is having real silverware or some decent crab mallets.

Lotus is a destination stop when I visit Houston. The food is always on point, plenty of flavor, hot and fresh. The staff is awesome. This was my homies first time dining here, so she had plenty of questions. The cashier was so patient and sweet even though there was a gang of people in line behind us. She apologized to the cashier for holding up the line, and she said, "Don't worry about those people. I'm here to help." Talk about hospitality and professionalism...I really wish I could remember her name. The daquaris are the best!!! The atmosphere is real chill, laid back, and relaxing. Yelpers, I will definitely recommend any Lotus location, but especially this one.

Finally made it out to try one of my bucket list places and I'm so glad I did!! The food was fresh and the crab was cooked perfectly! The meat came out of the shell almost effortlessly and the "crack" sauce was so addictive! The Xtra spicy flavor on the crab had the perfect kick! But they have up to XXX spicy as well! The service was quick and friendly! The artwork was SO cool on the walls that represented Houston & the H-Town culture! Definitely good vibes!

This was so much fun. Like who doesn't like this place? I have never been to a Lotus Seafood, so I didn't know what to expect. The aesthetic is like bar with a fake club vibe, when you're walking in the building wall/door is changing colors. Lots of tv and people dressing up and looking chic. Interesting enough, lots of young hip people and people getting ready to go out for a night to party. I think what makes this "trendy" place different from other trendy places was that it didn't have snobby vibes. The staff helped with the non snobby vibes. It was obvious I was never there before and the guy helped me with some suggestions recommending the catfish over the trout, because the trout had bones and for a first timer- that was a smart pick. Because you will DEVOUR all the food. On to that later. Staff was courteous, kind, got along well, and they were frequently bussing tables. Food...I had the fried catfish and shrimp. My husband had the fried oysters and catfish. The breading...it was like the pictures you see on breading boxes at the spice/herb aisle like at HEB, but with more flavor. It's perfectly breaded/covered with spices and cooked perfectly. I love the cajun flavors, spices, and the golden brown texture of the fried fish. The fried breading wasn't too thick and it let you enjoy the fish more. The fried oyster I tasted from my husband was okay, for a left over.The fries, and fish held up well as left overs the next day too.The tarter sauce was thick and creamy. I think it really paired well with the fish. I know there's po-boys and other stuff, but I'm really excited to just keep getting more of the fried food. With the happy ambience, the fun people watching, non snobby vibes, and good food, this is a great place to go eat or start your night out on the town before you go partying, clubbing, or even back at home to play dungeons and dragons. You do you. As for me, that was a great start to a low key evening, and I was the happier for it having gone to such a happy lively place with good food.

Food was cold, shrimps were over cooked and the crap was cold and watery, they also rush me to leave at exactly 8pm at close which I order @ 7:30 pm .......bad bad bad not recommend it to no one

Man this place is pretty good the line movies Farley quick and the food was done pretty quick too. They definitely have a nice vibe going inside the place and had plenty of seating available. They give you so much rice with everything you get we definitely couldn't finish it. We were stuffed and feeling good when we left!

Great food ! Have eaten here 3 times. Delicious gumbo and oysters. Service is a little slow but tolerable. Good location. And easy menu. Soda service excellent. Television screens all over the place. Sometimes crowded and noisy but tolerable. I'll come again.

I've been following this restaurant on Instagram for a while now, marveling at the stunning photographs. My coworkers have been singing praises about the infamous crack sauce. So, when my friend suggested we visit Houston, I immediately suggested Lotus Seafood. The excitement in her eyes was unmistakable - it was a resounding yes!Parking was a bit challenging, typical of a location in a strip mall. Despite the packed restaurant, the line moved swiftly. We both opted for the loud pack at $13.99, which included potatoes, an egg roll, and extra crack sauce. Everything was excellent! My only critique is that it was a bit too spicy for my taste.

We ordered wings to go from Lotus seafood and they didn't disappoint! For one, for the price and size of their wings we were surprised! Most places are charged a ridiculous amount for the tiniest wings. I do wish that they were a bit crispier and less greasy. But that's just our taste. We ordered the lemon pepper and Cajun wings and both were very flavorful - we will definitely try them out again!

First time trying this location! I love lotus! It's so good and the atmosphere is amazing! Definitely a little pricy but worth it! The crack sauce is always a must!
