New favorite after just one visit! It appears to be a renovated church- soaring ceilings, wood tones, great architecture. Huge outdoor and inside space.Ok parking was not fun- street parking. Unless you do valet. But we found a decent spot.Hybrid of counter service and seated service. You order at the bar but then a gps tracker has the server bring your food to the table. Great place for groups so you don't need to worry about splitting checks.Service was friendly and knowledgeable.Food:CRUNCHY SWEET CORN FRITTERSJust as the name says- sweet, corny, fried goodness. Balanced with spicy aoili Will get again!CHICKEN KARAAGESpiciness creeps up on you.CHOPPED SMOKED BRISKETBrisket was smokey and moist. The thai flavored sauce brought that fusion vibe that makes me love houston food. I would of liked the pickled veggies to be a little more pickled- they were a little flavorless, but added a nice crunch.CRISPY TOFU - we ordered to try because I'm a fan. I don't know how they did it- but it was super crunchy - rice flour maybe on the ourside? super hot oil? Anyways- hands down best cripsy tofu I've had. It will be hard to choose between the brisket and tofu next time- yes its that good.FROZEN PEACH APEROL SPRITZ- Took a sip of my man's boozy slushy. Sweet and not overpowering.I can't wait to drink more of these this summer. They have a flight!

My husband and I were recently visiting Houston for work and it was a late night so we didn't end up leaving the hotel as we normally would. I had a list of restaurants I wanted to try and just so happened to find that Loro was on Uber eats. I typically wouldn't write a review for a restaurant having only ordered takeout, but I was very impressed with the food especially for takeout. You never know what you are going to get and most of the time portions are so much smaller, but I ended up having leftovers and I was very happy about that. We ordered the Chicken Karaage so so delicious/full of flavor and still pretty crispy after traveling in a car for 25 minutes. We both ordered the oak smoked salmon bowl and I would highly recommend it! I loved the thai herbs and pickled veggies; they definitely paired well with the smokiness of the salmon! I really wish we had the chance to dine in to try their drinks, but maybe some other time!

Lovely ambiance indoors and outdoors. Unique menu. Only stayed for dessert and happy hour. Chocolate creme brulee had a unique sesame seed flavor and was a big hit at our table. Service was a bit slow during happy hour but super friendly. May need to order from the bar. Parking can fill up quickly. May need to park down the street.

I've had Loro multiple times in Austin, but this was my first time trying the Houston location. It was nowhere near as busy as the Austin location where every time I've gone unless sitting at the bar there is a wait for inside and outside seating. It's super kid friendly and there is something the menu for everyone. We order the beef ribs which I intended to turn into lettuce wraps, but that was a bit tricky with the butter knife that was given. The meat was fall off the bone delicious and provided lots of leftovers. We also got the Szechuan tofu bowl that was really good minus all the red onions, we could have done without. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the crispy exterior of the tofu.

We walked in for an early dinner around 5:15p on a Sunday and were able to find a table easily. There's seating inside and outside (with misters on for the summer), a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant, and ordering at the bar with trackers/buzzers you take with you to your table. We got the namesake burger, carmelized onion burger, boozy slushy flight (mango, aperol, Vietnamese coffee), and crispy potatoes that came in a delicious sauce and can be found on the Sides part of the menu (not Shareables). Service was fast and the atmosphere was friendly and not too loud when we came, although I can see it getting very loud in here on a Saturday night with the non-insulated barn roof. Had a great time!

Such a cool looking place with great staff who were so inviting and helpful since it was our first time here. My favorite was the wonton app, corn and frozen peach aperol drink.

I've visited Loro a few times at both the Austin and Houston heights location and have consistently loved every dish and drink I've tried. Their happy hour is unbeatable! Service has been consistently decent and the staff has given helpful suggestions a number of times. Good for both large and small gatherings with abundant indoor and outdoor seating.

This place has been a long time coming for us to try and we are so glad we finally got around to trying it. I'm more sad that we waited so long. It was absolutely amazing. Every dish we ordered was 10/10. I'll start and say that it is first come first serve basis. You seat yourself and then you have to go to the bar to order food and drink. It was busy when we got there, but for good reason! We ordered drinks which were delicious and refreshing. Perfect in this Texas heat. Then we ordered (nearly) everything on the menu. There were 4 of us and we all wanted to try a variety of things. Firstly, the brisket was my absolute favorite dish of the night overall. It was tender, meaty, falling apart, and so fatty! It was flavored so well and I could not stop eating it. The crispy potatoes are absolutely a must as well to pair with any of the meat choices. The butchers cut was equally delicious with an Asian inspired chimichurri sauce and there was a bit of heat which paired well with the coconut scented rice. The vibe was relaxed and fun and the food and drinks were just perfect. Definitely want to come back and try their ribs and ramen!

The food was okay, definitely not a place I'd go back to unfortunately. The people serving us were very friendly and the vibe of the place was great, busy wasn't impressed with the food.

First of all, the food is GREAT at Loro. My favorite is chicken karaage--it has a crispiness that is hard to find! I also love their Schezwan tofu bowl. The chicken sandwich looked amazing but I was unable to negotiate a bite from the person who was shoving it in their mouth. In particular, I'd like to give a shout-out to the staff at Loro last night (Thursday, May 16th). We were eating when the wicked storm hit. The staff snapped into action and dealt with the fact that there was no longer power to run the hood that was getting the smoke out of the restaurant. They communicated with guests what was going on and made sure we were safe and away from windows. Then they offered us free drinks and gave us all $10 gift certificates. Thank you for your generosity! If I'm ever trapped inside a restaurant because of a freak storm again, I want it to be at Loro!
