Lobster Banh Mi

First - there is no signage on Forsyth but rest assured it's at 57 Forsyth. It's inside. The signage is on Walton next to Cafe Lucia. The sandwiches are smaller than I expected but they are tasty and filling. I tried the lobster (@$12), crab (@$10) and tofu (@$8). The protein comes inside the bread and the pickled salad (cilantro, carrot, onion, cucumber, and jalapeño) comes separately inside a plastic bag. It also came with a small egg roll/spring roll and a piece of Andes mint chocolate. There was also a small container of sauce (Mayo, vinegary and sweet) but I wasn't sure if that was for the sandwich or the egg roll. I am looking forward to trying this again. The shop is small barely big enough for 12 people. There is seating and tables outside in the lobby. You order by a touch screen so look for the line starting there.

Excellent!!! I was sitting at Cafe Lucia when I noticed the sign for Lobster Banh Mi. Looked them up and saw that their other location had great ratings so I had to give it a try. My gosh, everything was deeelish!!! The lobster banh mi was so fresh and flavorful. The little cheese ball that came with it was warm and tasty too. And I make delicious flan at home but it doesn't compare to the flan here -- this might be the best flan I've ever tasted! The service was excellent, and I can't wait to come back to try other items! The location might be hard to find, it's inside the Healey Building next to Cafe Lucia on Forsyth.

I've tried nearly everything here at the Healey Building location, and there have been no disappointments. Bread (made here) is the right mix of crusty and soft, fillings and portions a great value, flavors are comforting, even the egg rolls are nice and light - this is an item often ruined elsewhere. Lobster and crab are new to me in a banh mi, but I like having a way to enjoy them affordably. The Singapore sausage was a great find. The curry is mild - more Japanese than Indian. Nothing is overcooked and nothing is bland. The veggie garnishes that come with pho or banh mi are plentiful - about a cupful. Lots of places are stingy with that. If you get things to go, they are properly packed. One of the best flans I've had ever - not overbaked. The proprieter is cheery and generous - don't miss her portrait! It's a riot.

Excellent food, perfect portion for price point (I got the brisket bahn mi to go - great value for lunch), very kind staff, and quick service. Can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu!!

Everything besides their lobster Banh mi is very mid, has a sour rotten taste, and takes like 20 minutes to make

This place is so good and inexpensive! $10 for chicken curry and rice... and the curry chicken is SO GOOD. I find myself coming back all the time. Give it a try!

I wish I could give six stars to this place. This is a relatively new Vietnamese sandwich shop that has opened in the Healy building in downtown Atlanta. It is a perfect location for Georgia State students and other businesses. Pack your patience, because there is one employee, and although she moves very fast, it could take a while to get your sandwich. I'm a 30+ year veteran of the downtown office scene and I've seen this location be many food establishments, but I really hope this one sticks. The woman behind the counter was absolutely delightful and my chicken bánh mì was fabulous and reasonably priced. The sandwich comes with just your meat in delicious French bread and a plastic bag filled with your accompaniments (carrots, coriander, jalapeño, and onion.) And it's served with a fabulous sauce. Can't wait to come back to this place.

Absolutely delicious food and the most amazing Thai Tea you will ever have. The owner is so kind and thorough with every order.
