Well, let's address the elephant in the room right away. I've seen a lot of reviews on here talking about price. This is an upscale restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. It is literally across the street from the Fox theater. Simply stated, do not not come here for an inexpensive meal. It's not fast food or takeout. It's a very fine dining experience and the waitstaff is accommodating and attentive to needs. At a recent stay at the adjacent hotel in Atlanta, I enjoyed breakfast there three mornings. I find when I start my day with great breakfast. the rest of the day generally goes better. Obviously, since I went three times it was really good. The coffee was amazing and the portions were very generous and freshly prepared on the spot. If I might say, breakfast is probably one of the better times to give this place a try. The times that I went, they were not busy at all so they were not rushing about and were able to take care of the clients who were there.Expensive? Yes, but the quality was there so in my case they delivered what I was paying for.

We had a dinner reservation for 4 at 6 pm on Saturday, 8/3/24. We were seated right away. Apparently the complimentary bread service has to be requested. We were dressed up because we were going to a play at the Fox. It was nice inside.I split an appetizer and 2 entrées with my friend. We also got a side for the table. Here's what I had:- Peach, Burrata, & Prosciutto ($16): It was decent. I've had better.- Lemon Asparagus Risotto ($30): Very small portion for the price. It was okay.- Seabass ($48): This was the star of the show. The seabass was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the coconut forbidden rice, shitakes, and sugar snap peas that it came with.- Brussels Sprouts ($12): Super good!! Perfectly crispy and seasoned.Others in my party got the She Crab Soup ($12)--which came in the tiniest cup and I was told it was way too salty, Wedge Salad ($12)--I was told it was fine, Ahi Tuna Poke ($16)--fine, but needed more sauce.I got the Mary Pickford ($12) for my drink and it was too strong for my taste.Highly recommend the seabass and Brussels sprouts! Everything else was just meh.

I visited Livingston Restaurant & Bar before my show at the Fox theater! It is attached to a hotel so the parking is only what the hotel offers. There is very limited street parking, especially on a weekend so I would recommend you either uber or walk if you're walking distance. Overall my experience the service was great! We had LaMonte as our waiter and he was so welcoming when we arrived. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant and beautiful. My favorite meal was the short beef rib. The sauce, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes and grilled onions really brought the whole dish together! the She Crab Soup was my least favorite. It tasted like they dumped a large amount of salt in the soup. It took away from the flavor of the overall crab and other ingredients. I would not recommend getting that along with trout. The trout ironically didn't have enough seasoning in it. It tasted slightly flavorless. For these three dishes we paid a total of $91 (for two people before tip) and we did not order any drinks, just water! Overall, for the price, I would not recommend splurging! If I go back, I would go just for a cocktail to enjoy the ambience and service before a show at the Fox! It was hard deciding between two or three stars because again, the beef short rib was tasty and their service was great! However, because of the amount of money spent on soup and two dishes, I would have to settle for 2 stars!

Brunch here on a slow Sunday. Only a few tables occupied when we arrived. Ordered a couple of pitchers of LIV 75, avocado toast, fried green tomatoes, the brisket burger, and crab cake Benedict. Service at the start was good and got slower. The server in a way was kinda rushing us on the first pitcher and the second pitcher. Food overall tasted good, but didn't appreciate being lied to. Clearly on the menu, 20% gratuity is included but he told us tips ONLY in cash.

We came here before seeing a play at the Fox and we were charged $60 for event parking at the valet. The service for anything took awhile, especially the drinks. The food was alright but nothing grand and we got cold cornbread. The filet was way overly salted as well. The drinks were completely liquor.

It's kinda expensive, drip coffee $6, breakfast about $18-20. The interior is rich and nice, old fashioned, old money. Great atmosphere, however, the service is so-so.

Came visiting from Miami and this place had a beautiful choice of items and the food tastes even better! Highly suggest getting the grilled octopus! And props to the bartender Brittany for taking care of us.

This was an excellent experience from beginning to end. I ate a full dinner at the bar on a Friday. Located in The Georgian Terrace Hotel, the ambience is defined by a building that falls under the category of "they just don't make them like this anymore." High ceilings, a spacious dining room, and colonial architecture (not 100% sure but looks like colonial...) with high-top tables in the bar area are an immediate draw. The restaurant had come out with a new menu that weekend and everyone was happy to explain what was listed. I tried the She Crab soup, iceberg wedge salad, and finished with an excellent Bouillabaisse. The first and third dish were actually brought out by the chef (Tyree) and drinks and conversation expertly provided by Lamonte, who recognized me from a visit in 2023 (!). Thumbs up overall here. As a new resident of the state I look forward to exploring many more of Atlanta's offerings but the Livingston will be a mainstay. I'll definitely be back later in the year. Fantastic!
