I recently had an exceptional dining experience at Linger in Denver, and it was the perfect venue for a business dinner. The restaurant had a vibrant yet laid-back atmosphere, ideal for bonding over great food and conversation. The shareable plates made it easy to try a variety of dishes, all of which were absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the Devils on Horseback, Tuna Crudo, and the unique Scallion Pancake--each plate was a flavor-packed adventure. The staff was excellent, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the evening, making sure we had everything we needed. A special mention goes to our server, Connor, for his professionalism and helpful recommendations, including the refreshing Mortuary Margarita and the well-balanced Baharat Old-Fashioned.Linger perfectly balances innovative cuisine with a welcoming atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for both casual gatherings and professional settings. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Denver!

Linger is a must try if you're visiting Denver! I made reservations because it seems to be a popular spot, and we were able to get a rooftop table. It's housed in an old mortuary, which they play up a bit with their decorations. They serve tapas style food, mostly small shareable plates, but with a focus on Asian street food. They had SO MANY veggie options! But! For some of the dishes, such as the bao, if you want them to be vegetarian or vegan, you have to specify that. Otherwise they will come out with meat. So when ordering, just double check that what you are getting is vegetarian! I tried the Thai tea cocktail with condensed milk (they also offer it with coconut milk). The tea had a strong flavor which I love. We shared a few different plates: the bombay nachos, crispy filipino spring rolls, skewer and lettuce wraps, and the masala dosa. My two favorite (and must order veggie dishes) were easily the bombay nachos and the lettuce wraps. The nachos had so many different flavors, and I loved the chutney that came with it! The wraps are a build your own situation. They are SO good! We ordered it with tofu, and the star of the show was the peanut sauce and fresh herbs. It was filling yet still a light dish. The other two dishes were also good but less impressive. The filipino rolls were fried and crispy, and I don't normally eat impossible meat but this worked well in the dish. The vinegar sauce was way too vinegar-y for me. The masala dosa was good but more a simple potato dish. These four plates was more than enough for the two of us. I know the same company owns another restaurant, and after how good this one was, I would love to check out the other one!

Linger!!!! Where do I begin. I love the appeal of this place and the history behind it is always fun to share. Gorgeous rooftop and sunset views with a really fun and funky bar serving drinks out of a converted van. The food is awesome though I must admit I'm a serial order repeater when it comes to this spot - the bao bun trio is hard to beat. The bun trio comes with a crispy pork belly bao tossed in a sweet sticky sauce I can't get enough of, the chicken bao is super fun and crispy with some kimchi keeping things interesting and the duck bao is fall apart delicious with a crunchy cucumber salad. The buns are so fluffy and soft and the perfect vessel for the fabulous filling. When we went it was kind of self serve as we were a walk in - order food and drinks and the bar and the food met us at our table. Awesome spot and a fun spooky dinner or drink place for October.

Better make a reservation! I made one and got right in but many did not and were waiting as it was packed inside. Service was great, gave good suggestions, and friendly. It's such a cool trendy spot to go, the vibe is fun. I ordered the bao bun trio which was perfect for sharing. They were quite delicious with my favorite being the pork. We also had the waffle which was pretty good.

Does Linger truly live up to its hype? To be frank, I'm not 100% positive. Yes, it located in Denver's Highland neighborhood; yes, it offers unique street food with some artistic dexterity involved, and yes, service is friendly and yet, I am hesitant to give it more than 3.5 star review. Ever since my daughter has started raving about this place good 6 years or so ago, I've dined here at least a few times in the past. Tonight's late night dinner with her truly and finally painted the story for me; this restaurant is mediocre at best. What prevents me from giving this place a perfect 5 star review is mostly because of the quality and portion size of the dishes they serve: everything is overpriced with a noticeable stinginess in portions. When a restaurant focuses only on trendiness it will become what Linger is. Now was tonight's dinner that bad? Not really. But was it excellent? Not really either. Will I go back here to dine again. Maybe just for an ambience . Would I recommend it to an out-of-towner for a unique experience? Maybe. So before showing up to this restaurant, know what you must have:

Got brunch here with a group of friends on a Sunday morning! I'm so happy they do reservations.I got the BLT benedict and loved it so much! it had a great balance of sweet and savory and really enjoyed the side salad I got. Service was a bit slow, we got there at 11, probably ordered around 11:30 and then got our food around 12.I'm glad they were able to itemize/split the check at the end but as a heads up, they do a 5% bonus charge for "fair wages and benefits" which I didn't appreciate them bringing to our attention before we got our checks.I'd love to come here again to try their cocktails and dinner!

Excellent service and the food and drinks were excellent. I got to use my 2 for 1 drink coupon book so that was cool and I had no issues being able to use that at all. Of course the atmosphere is neat and we went on Friday the 13th to give it that extra special touch. I loved the French toast that we split the best. The chicken and waffles were pretty awesome too! But everything was truly fabulous. I look forward to coming back here and bringing Ryan. This outting was with my friend that was visiting from NY named Danielle and she also loved it !

Let's sum it up, Linger delivers amazing energy, international cuisine, incredible tastes and great views. We had a table of six for dinner on Friday evening and we tried nine different offerings on the menu. Most of the food is served tapas style. There are two dining rooms in the main building (the former mortuary), one of the main level and the other on the second. We were seated in a large booth on the second, but wished we had more room. Once we ordered the food, it just arrived in perfect waves. What was annoying was how long it took to get drinks from the bar that was literally across from our table. The room wasn't half full while we were there. Something that would make the dining experience even better is if they would change out the small plates throughout the meal so you aren't mixing flavors. Here's what we ordered: - Mongolian BBQ Duck Bao - Not the traditional small bun size, hard to share- Korean Fried Chicken Bao - Best of the two, loved the Chile Aioli- Devils on Horseback - A Spanish classic (we had three orders)- Hot Honey Sweet Fries - Biggest portion size of anything we ordered, loved the Mile High Seasoning (we had two orders)- Bison Steak Kushiyaki Skewer - Perfectly grilled- Cumin-Spiced Lamb Skewer - Two large servings can feed four, my fav of the two skewers ordered- Scallion Pancake - Four quarter portions, made with short rib, chile crunch (hot)- Sweet Corn Chaat - Indian street food, curry, chutney, new item on menu, best thing we ordered- Smashed Wagyu Sliders - Bacon-onion jam is great After our meal, we went up to the rooftop. At 7pm, with the sun behind the clouds, it was amazing. But it was scorching when we arrived at 5:30, so indoor was probably the best for our first visit. I'd love to come for a later evening meal on the rooftop.

I got Linger with my partner for our anniversary and I had an amazing time! The food was excellent, we were delighted by our server's recommendations on the steamed buns. Our server was Abby, she was super sweet and checked in on us very frequently, making sure we were set! Highly recommend, hard to beat this place for a good date night!
