Le Petit Marché

I had a good first experience at Le Petit Marche. My party of two ordered the salmon bagel, fish and grits, and grit stack. All were good. The strawberry lemonade that comes in a bottle, I would not recommend because of the sugar content( I didn't read the label until halfway through, and then I quickly stopped). I was truly surprised and taken aback by the drastic shift in service here. I came here some months ago and the expectation was full service, alcohol available (they don't have a liquor license anymore ), and real plates/silverware.Upon entry this time we were stopped at the desk to order, which i've never done. I'm not mad at "quick service", but it can be done in a way that doesn't feel like "quick service" if you know what I mean. They also had two separate menus, one online and one on one flimsy piece of paper, in which they only had one for everyone to look at. Not to mention, the paper menu & online menu were not consistent in what they were advertising. I understand that they're "cutting back", but the service, quality of food, and strong mimosas is what I enjoyed about this place. So for my food to be served in to-go type plates with plastic silverware and have to order $5 just to have something to drink is definitely not what I was expecting. So my friend and I didn't have anything to drink, man I miss complimentary water. Moving on, the food was incredibly subpar. Not sure of the idea in mind with the random orange slice garnish. And I'm not sure if it was just the to-go containers or what, but I was highly unsatisfied it. Thank god it wasn't costly, but I definitely won't be back until full service and quality is restored. It just didn't feel the same.

This place used to be my favorite but in the past couple months I'm not sure what has happened but I'm extremely disappointed in the quality and service. They not only took items off the menu but everything is serviced in plastic/paper, it is not full service as you order and pay before you can sit with only one person bringing out food and drinks (who btw is very nice and doing his best) and let's not leave out that are are paying full price for half the portions, which is crazy. Also no complimentary water so you are also paying $5 for water. The manager didn't seem to care about my concerns and the man taking orders kept saying he would be over to assist and never came. I'm not sure what happened in the last 2 months since I visited but this is a major change. I walked in and the hostess takes your order before you sit down, gives you a number and you sit and wait. I didn't like this because I wasn't prepared. Usually I can muddle over my beverage a bit and decide. Secondly, I chose to sit outside but I also noticed sitting outside means limited to no service. There were 2 managers with phones attached to their ears and working on laptops and I don't wanna see that while I'm eating so I chose to eat outside.One of my biggest annoyances was everything is plasticware and cardboard eating utensils which really cheapens the experience. This was far different from my previous experience. Even the condiments were given to me in to go sauce containers. Including my milk for the coffee. Really?! lolA slight annoyance which may be my own hang up is one of the managers bought my food out and she rearranged my personal belongings before I could get a chance to in order to put my food down. Which she didn't have to do and I'm big on people not touching my things so I didn't like that.So now to the food. It was alright 5/10. Eggs, chicken sausage, toast and grits were all basic. The coffee was the best part. I had to walk inside just to ask for condiments as the serve never came back and it was only 2 other parties there. I asked for water and they brought me a cardboard carton for $4. I kindly told her I didn't want it and knew it was my time to leave.The waiter although less than attentive was nice I was give her that.Absolutely won't be returning. From the get a number and wait, plastic ware and cardboard food servings, reduced service and bland food, it's a hard no for me.

10/10 experience during my Saturday Brunch. Don't be alarmed by the wait as the staff does a great job with turning tables quickly without rushing diners. I was able to be seated right after arrival. Despite there not being a host at the stand when I entered - a server came over to greet me and stated someone would be with me shortly. Kudos to him for being attentive to his tables and also all other guests I didn't get his name but, he did have nice locs.Once greeted and seated , Bre, came over to explain the specials for the day as well as take my order if I was ready. I took her advice and ordered the Pomegranate Juice, Catfish and Grits, biscuit and, side of cheese eggs. Be mindful that no alcoholic drinks are served at the establishment but, their juices are absolutely delicious and refreshing. The food came out hot and fresh maybe 10 minutes after I ordered. The portion size where great for the cost and I wish I had enough stomach room to have finish the entire plate. Once again, I highly recommend you fine here. Enjoy good food, soulful house music and, great customer service.

I absolutely adore this Kirkwood gem! I had a late brunch with a friend (1:00 on a Tuesday) and it's wonderful to eat in Atlanta and not have to worry about parking. Our server, Martin was THE BEST! This is the standard for excellent customer service. He was polite, pleasant-natured and made great menu recommendations. I had the salmon bagel which was perfect. Martin bought us beignets and OMG honestly they were so much better than most that I've had, even in NOLA! And I loved that they were smaller in size than other beignets because it helped me avoid over-indulging. If you haven't visited this place, definitely add it to your list!

Enjoyed Sunday brunch with some friends. I made reservations but they could not accommodate us inside so we sat in the outdoor patio area. They do not sell alcoholic beverages but I enjoyed the fresh strawberry lemonade. We started off with the beignets which were so warm, sweet, and flaky. They tasted more like croissants to me but there were still very good. We also ordered the vanilla rum French toast sandwich and the chicken biscuit which were amazing! Highly recommend this place for brunch.

Breakfast anyone?! I've got a good one for you! Le petite marche is serving all of your brunch favorites with French/Cajun flair. When I tell you this restaurant has been added to my breakfast favorites I'm not lying! Food is FANTASTIC & Service is TOP TIER. I can say everything I had is amazing. You must try the banana foster French toast, the gumbo, the shrimp po boy,and the Kirkwood they also have amazing mocktails. They have a small parking lot that can get packed quick so you may have to try street parking. Weekends are very busy, so make sure you reserve a table on @opentable! Really enjoyed the experience here! Be sure to check them out and support black businesses!

Food 10/10Service 12/10Ambiance 10/10Quaint little place nestled in the heart of Kirkwood. Parking may pose a problem but overall it's a really nice place. Make sure you go read the wall in the back with the history of this place. Definitely will be back

Suggestion from my friend...she spoke highly of restaurant. So we meet for breakfast, she was correct with her assessment! Very nice experience from beginning to end. Wonderful service & delicious food. Area seems to be very neighborly & quaint. Highly recommend! Everything was yummy and great portion sizes. Server was very knowledgeable and provided suggestions that were perfect. She was also very comfortable communicating with us & made us feel welcomed as out-of-state visitors.
