Great sophisticated but relaxing ambience, helpful staff. We got the brie and baobab jam with crisps and apple slices, intrigued by the baobab fruit which we had never had before. The dish was not worth the $18, however; the baobab was like an apricot jam, the Brie came with all surfaces covered by the white protective coating rather than being sliced so you got primarily the cheese, and the sliver of cheese was very small. The waitress kindly brought a few more slices of toasted bread since the four thin slices initially provided were clearly insufficient to sop up the rest of the appetizer. The tuna nicoise was excellent with a large piece of perfectly cooked tuna (rare and seared), though they left out the olives. The tarragon cream roast chicken with crimini mushrooms and slices of roast potatoes was outstanding; they appropriately warned us the chicken took 45 minutes to bake so put in the order while we puzzled out the rest of our order. We would return on a cold day just for that dish--perfect comfort food!We will continue to explore the menu and just recommend the above tweaks to the Brie and baobab appetizer.

Walked into an empty restaurant just before 1pm. The hostess then asked if we had a reservation as if they were expecting a lack of availability. The service got worse from there. Waiter was sub-par on every level consider we were looking at $100+ tab for lunch. At that level conscientiousness is required regardless if the venue is bustling or empty. The food was passable but not for the price, lack of attention to the details, and service. I would characterize the cuisine as over-salted masking the flavor of the ingredients. Disappointing experience, squandering the value of a word of mouth recommendation by friends. Waiters and hostesses are not more important than customers.

I watched excitedly for months as this restaurant was being readied. I had heard great things about the DTC location and was excited to try this place. I loved the idea of the fusion of French and Senegalese cuisine. Overall I was underwhelmed....As a party of 6 we were able to try much of the menuFood Highlights:Foie Gras - fantastic starter, complemented well with fig and balsamicBeef Tartare - perfectly seasoned, housemade chips were fantasticBrie and Baobab - ordered as I was interested in trying the Baobab, the only way that I can describe is not too sweet and not too sour...almost flavorlessTartare de Betterave - fascinating spice profile with beets in a unique presentationChocolate Mousse - paired well with coffee-flavored ice creamFood lowlights:Steak Frites - The filet Mignon was had absolutely no flavor and was tough in texture. At the price point of $48, I expected much better. The fries were greatLes Pastels - heavy fried tuna, did not sit well with anyoneCaesar Salad - flavorless dressing, the salad in a bag at the supermarket is better and less wateryCrepes Suzette - orange sauce was not as flavorful as hoped, tasted watered downThe ambiance was beautiful however the service was borderline unfriendly which detracted from the whole experience.

Came back after 9 months of them being open and place was quiet for brunch at 10:30am. I didn't mind it though it was nice. We had Phoenix and he was nice, I will say the portions are small for cost. $15 for a little mini quiche and some spinach leaves and $18 for French toast which was essentially 2 slices cut in fours. Not sure if I will return I think there are better French places for brunch but we had a movie and wanted to be close.

Gorgeous brunch! I've never seen so many poutine options--exciting! Service is super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.Decor is modern, with a beautiful glass wine cooler as a central feature. I had the ham and gruyere crepe, which felt very authentic Parisian. Husband had the Easter special: confit rabbit Benedict. The hollandaise was a bit more lemon-forward than his liking. We will definitely be back, if only to try the other poutines!

I really enjoyed our Easter brunch here. The atmosphere is very airy and cozy. I love the Senegalese influence in some dishes and would love to see more of it! We ordered the French onion soup and foie gras to start. The soup was delicious - very flavorful with melt-in-your-mouth onions, probably the best I've ever had. It's vegetarian too which surprised me due to the richness of the broth. The foie gras torchon came with a really complimentary fig sauce, and the French toast was great for dipping in it, but could definitely have used 2 more slices for the portion! I love rabbit so I ordered the Easter special, a confit rabbit Benedict piled high with braised beet greens, poached egg, and sauce malaise stop fluffy corn bread cakes. This was a very rich dish-great for a lean meat like rabbit. The sauce was so tangy and buttery! Perfectly poached eggs too. My fiancé went with the Senegalese fried chicken sandwich with Yassa sauce. Very juicy Dijon-brined chicken was fried nicely, served with a saucy lettuce mixture on a brioche bun and Yassa sauce. Comes with fries. It was very good! The Nutella crepe was absolutely stuffed with Nutella, maybe could use more berries on top. It was a really well made crepe, we left really satisfied. I hear they have a great HH so we can't wait to return, and I'm really psyched they're in our neighborhood!

OMG I had the best time here! Yeah the service could be better but the food delish!! I had the escargot. Yumm yumm!!! The entertainment with the singer, Marie, and her accompaniment was the best thing about the experience.

Fantastic French food. The highlights for me were the scallops and lamb chops but honestly everything was delicious. The ambiance was really nice - we say outside. Service was great! Perfect date night out in Denver.

FINALLY. A unique and delicious fine-dining restaurant that's actually worth the price point. This place is French Senegalese inspired and to die for. I am always disappointed by Denver's lack of good and ethnic restaurants and Le French is here to change that. I've never had Senegalese food before, and I'm sure this is a fusion, but now it's got me quite curious to seek out other Senegalese spots. You can expect top notch service from the wait staff, from recommendations to attentive service. Price point is on the higher end, so good for special occasions and dates, or if you're just a bougie person who wants fine dining all the time. It's enough to have a coat check at the front if that tells you anything. Entrees are $25+ each. Cocktails:-pear martini Starters I recommend:-Foie gras -MerguezEntrees:-Mussels-Lamb short ribs and mashed sweet potatoes (the BEST sweet potatoes I've ever had in my entire life) -fish stew (bouillon base??)Desserts:-Creme brulee -combine the chocolate mousse and crepe suzette together Parking: free streetSeating: indoor tableWifi: noPayment: card Vibe: fine dining (fairly quiet so intimate too)Dress code: business casual to business formal

To start, the ambiance of this restaurant was very elegant but in a way that did not strike me as uptight. The service was incredible as we had many people greet us and everyone was very nice! The food was AMAZING!! I got the croquet madame with truffle fries and it was so good I cleaned my plate! Although I was not the one in my group to pay, I think that the prices were justified for the quality and I will definitely be returning! Keep up the good work!
