Authentic and delicious Chinese food. The skewers are great, juicy and tender and easy to remove from stick.I recommend trying out the pork belly skewer and sweet and sour pork!

Giving two stars for the nice service, if not then only one star. The service was nice but sooo so slow and we had to flag server down multiple times for many things! Food wise: 1 star. The food was quite nasty to be honest. The beef and pork skewers were TINY! And half of the skewer was the fatty meats that you cannot even chew through. On one of the lamb skewers, there was a piece of hair too but my friends are nicer than me, cause they just took the hair off and said it'll be fine since we're grilling the meat lol. It was flavorless as well. They expect you to just use the dry seasoning for the food. The fried pork, please!?!? What pork ?!? There was absolutely no meat in the sweet and sour pork. It was thin! All you could taste was oil and fried dough. We also got the stirred fried squid. But the sauce was sooo bad. For $20! There was barely any squid. The sauce was definitely weird tasting. The cold noodles were probably the only thing that was decent. But, not much flavor as well. Also, after one or two rounds of grilling you need extra charcoal if not then the meat will not cook and takes forever. Again, we didn't know and had to flag down our server. Overall, would not recommend this establishment! The food here is nasty and pricy! The ambiance and space was messy and there were a bunch of empty cardboard boxes against the wall.

My husband and I were eager to find a great kochi restaurant, but unfortunately, this one didn't meet our expectations. When we arrived, we were seated at a table without a grill. We requested to be moved to a table with a grill so we could cook the kochi ourselves, but the server informed us that we needed to order over $80 to be seated at a grill table, which seemed unreasonable to us. I've never encountered a kochi restaurant that imposes a minimum order requirement just to cook at the grill. We left feeling very disappointed.

I will never return and patronize this business again. I suggest you also look elsewhere at other kabobs places bc this place is not good value for your money.I came here for dinner a few weeks ago with my husband and a friend. There is a minimum order spend if you want to do the charcoal grilling yourself. I believe it was 70-80 and so it is quite steep. The food was fine in terms of flavor but the portion was so small, be in skewer amount or quantity. We ordered some side dishes that were ~$15 per plate and again the portions were tiny. I understand businesses need to make a profit but this was just unreasonable. My friend left still hungry even though we spent close to $200 before tip! For 3 ppl!!Worst of all, on our way out to the car the guy at the front chased after us asking for tips despite us leaving $20 cash because he didn't see it on the table. Who does that? Tips aren't mandatory and you don't chase after your customers asking for it.

The food was tasty but the portion was too small for a large group. Service was great as there was not that many people inside the store. Good place to hangout for couples or small groups of friends.

I was scoping out Yelp for something different to eat for dinner and Kochi Maru popped up in my suggestions. It has mixed reviews but sometimes you find diamonds in the rough. Service is hands-off as many reviewers noted, but we kinda enjoyed being able to have a conversation without interruption. We didn't mind getting our own drink refills from the deli fridge that was nearby and when we were ready to go, it was not hard to get our server's attention for to-go containers. Now to describe the food ... Delicious! We went overboard in our ordering, which made our tab pretty expensive only because we couldn't decide what we wanted to try on our first visit. Notice I said first visit - hubby declared as we were leaving, "we will come back!". LOL . Here's run down of the items we ordered:Spicy Rice Noodle soup - top dish of the night! So flavorful! We wish it had more veggies, it was noodle heavy. More bok choy, more bean sprouts, and more bean curd (there was only 2pcs) please.Salted Vegetables (cold dish) - tied for top dish of the night!! The picture on the menu had more variety of veggies than what we received, but the flavor was outstanding so it was ok. Spicy, slightly salty (not in a bad way), savory, fresh - amazing!Skewers...Lamb - these were hubby's favoriteBeef - better than other places but needed the extra spice they give you at the table.Pork Belly - alright, also needed the extra spice. I found that eating the pork belly with the beef enhanced the bite.Chicken - surprisingly very good. Moist and flavorful.Bacon Mushroom - another winner. Bacon could have been cooked a bit more for additional texture contrast (I like crispy bacon best)"Exotic" menu choice was BBQ Pork Feet - we try our best to try something new that we have never eaten before anytime we can and this fit the bill. Wasn't bad, but probably would not order again. If you like the fatty part of pork belly or a steak, you would like these. All in all - give Kochi Maru a try. Enjoy the delicious relaxing laid back meal and definitely try the soup and cold salad!

I didn't think I'd like it but it was good, I loved the spice/seasoning they provided to dip the meat in. Do be warned that it takes a bit for the meat to cook and you can only put very few skewers at once. Also, the skewers are small so it can be very easy to spend more than intended though you do get a good amount per order.Place is small and not very accomodating for very large groups but still definitely worth a visit.

I saw this place being advertised on social media so decided to give it a try. We came on a Saturday evening and it was empty. The decor was very random (huge cartoon figures on the wall), outdated chairs and tables, dark lighting, one tv screen playing Chinese songs. I've had Chinese skewers so I know what it tastes like. It's a good price $18 for 10 skewers - usually it's much pricier in other places. I ordered the beef, lamb, pork, and chicken. The quality was very inconsistent. Some of the meat was tender while others were really tough. I was disappointed at the lack of consistency with the meat. It was bland. I could taste the spice but it still lacked flavor. You are given a mixture of spices on your plate but it still wasn't enough. We also didn't receive any service. The server didn't stop by our table. We had to physically get up and look for him. A pretty disappointing experience.

The beef and pork belly skewers were to die for! The restaurant itself gives off very late night hang out vibes which is super cool. It was our first time there and the service could have been a tad bit better. We informed our server that we wanted to do the grilling, but she sat us at a regular table and got the skewers cooked for us, which was fine because it turned out great, but we missed out on the grilling experience. Our server was also a little dismissive and inattentive even it being not so busy when we went. I understand people have their off days, so we will definitely give this place another try!
