I was staying at the hotel across the street so I thought I'd walk over and get some dinner here. Note: there is no obvious way to walk here from the Hyatt, so I had to run across 6 lanes of traffic and a median at rush hour. A risk, but I was very brave. (This has little to do with my rating, but thought it would be useful info for anyone staying nearby)Anyway, I walked in at 5PM on a Monday- the sign on the front says they open at 5, but their happy hour starts at 4? Not sure how that works. The bartender was very nice and helped me immediately. I got a Zarinity Now, which was refreshing and very fairly priced for happy hour ($8). I was wowed by the Ramen Deviled Eggs, though they were pretty salty for my taste. Then I got the Ahi Tuna Tacos. The bartender said "they're small, but I like them. They're really good."Y'all, I have never seen tacos this small in my life. It was honestly a treat, because I started laughing and immediately had to tell my friends about this. I included my hand for reference, and I am a petite person. The meme material I got with my pictures of these tacos is going to be gold. Flavor was good, though! In all seriousness, I would rather this line item on the menu be priced higher + a larger portion than how to is set currently ($15 for these 3 tacos).

Writing this review took some time and consideration, I have to award only 4 stars unfortunately.I have been wanting to dine at Killen's for quite some time now, I got the opportunity the other day so here's my two cents. The food was delicious don't get me wrong, I would come back here for the lobster Mac and cheese alone (best mac I've ever had) and The Rosewood ribeye is one of the most tender steaks I've had, I then ordered the crème brûlée bread pudding and to be honest I'd give it about a 6 out of 10, the homemade ice cream however I'd give a 9 out of 10. I found the service to be a bit slow for the amount of people who were in the restaurant and for a restaurant of this caliber so that was somewhat disappointing. As it pertains to ambiance, it had a very good atmosphere but I noticed some of the more advanced in age customers needing to use a flashlight to look at their menus so maybe don't dim the lights too much. So in conclusion, I know yelp uses a star rating but on a scale of 1-10 I'd give Killen's an 8. Train up the wait staff a bit more, maybe take the bread pudding out and replace it with something similar, and I think they'll have earned a 5 star 10/10 from me.

Service was amazing. Food was great except for the crab cake was full of shell. The taste was good but it was hard to eat. If you have anyone with food allergies, it is a little hard to have them accommodated, as we found that to be an issue. I would not rave about this place, but I did like the atmosphere and loved the cosmos!

This is probably one of the most controversial reviews I have given a restaurant. If you've read any of my reviews, you will know I'm honest and fair. So...I hope that is reflected here. The food was delicious... and that's all. Literally... that's all. We decided to try this place for my better halfs birthday. Neither one of us has eaten at the Killen's Steakhouses, so I thought it would be nice for his birthday. When we arrived, we loved the feel of the ambiance. We were seated in a booth on the right side of the restaurant. When we opened up the menu and saw the prices of the steaks, we both almost had a heart attack!!! We ordered the miso deviled eggs, which were delicious. After a martini, we both ordered the filet ($55 each) and shared 2 sides (creamed spinach and augratin potatoes $15 each). All very good. We had a bottle of wine ($110), and we had to order his birthday dessert ($14). For a grand total of $420.44 with tip!! OUCH!!The table that was sat next to us was loud and overbearing of our conversation. No singing of Happy Birthday and no complimentary birthday dessert. To top it off, our waiter tried to give us his landscaping business card.NOT professional at all.The waiter took our food away to box it up and when we went to finish it off the next evening, there was a dollop of spinach and half the potatoes we expected to be packed up! I recommend boxing your own leftovers to make sure you get everything you pay for. In my opinion, the food was good, but the whole experience was NOT worth $420!!As for the bathroom here, there was a sewer smell and nothing fancy to write home about. I'm hugely disappointed. Like I said... the food was delicious and. That. Is. All.

This is overpriced madness at it's best. Ok I'm going to start with the good:Creamed spinach: Amazing, thick, creamy, you can taste the cheeses piping hot, ok portion for 2 people to have some $12 Creamed corn: Out of this world, sweet, creamy, thick, so comforting, enough for 2 to share $11-12 can't remember. The disappointments:Snapper with lump crab - FAIL, everyone knows I'm beyond a seafood lover, beyond, I know my seafood, from a little girl to now, I am basically all about ANYTHING in the sea. So HOW you mess up snapper & crab, two of the most tantalizing items in the sea? This overly bland dish is a nightmare for all crabs everywhere. No salt, no pazazz, no garlic, no butter, no flavor that's what I'm telling you. The fish was no where near flaky, I describe it as thick and mushy. Smh I don't know I'm frustrated trying to figure out how this dish was accomplished? A mess!! For $40. The steak $68 (for steak only). Well cooked, however nothing over the top for $68. I could bbq this at home for $18 just saying. Seriously I don't mind spending $200 on dinner ever but please offer the food for the price your asking for. I would return for the sizes and to maybe try other sides but that's about it. For me to pass on crab is unheard of! Literally, until now.

I will give any place for stars are more when the food is impeccable! I came in at 7:30 on a Monday night instead of the bar by myself. The food was very good! The French onion soup was perfect. I don't suggest getting it by yourself unless it's going to be your dinner along with a salad because it's huge and very filling. The baked potato was enormous and could have fed three people. I just take kebabs were very tasty. The restaurant is gorgeous and the bathrooms are very clean. The problem was the service. I was greeted initially with a glass of water, but then he disappeared for quite some minutes. I finally got a drink ordered. I need to buy food order and I seat waiting for another drink. He seem more interested in the baseball game then waiting on me. But overall, my experience was very positive and the food was very good.

My 2nd time at Killen's, and it was awesome! The food was excellent on both occasions. This time we came to the happy hour, which offered a good selection of food at very decent prices. I had the Killen's burger, which was seasoned to perfection. The fries were perfectly crispy and golden. My wife had the fried shrimp po boy sliders, which were also seasoned well. As always, servers and valet were very friendly, and the ambiance I would describe as mature and classy, but not stuffy.

Went here for Valentine's Day. This is a type of restaurant that you should expect to make a reservation and make sure you have your phone with you in case there might be a mix up. This is our first time at the Woodlands location have been to the one in Pearland several times to meet with friends. It was a beautiful restaurant loved the valet service. We were sat quickly even though we are a few minutes late, in which I had called ahead to let them know, the person who answered was very polite Our waiter was attentive to us and definitely made the experience here really wonderful. Every server was on it with making sure water, tea and sodas were never empty. Each item that we had picked on the Valentine menu was delicious this menu had lobster bisque and it's not a regular item but it should be. I apologize for not taking more photos I was spending time with my husband. I failed to mention the manager was hands on as well. He came by our table and I feel like I saw him going to each other table wishing each customer a Happy Valentine's Day and helped his staff since they seemed super busy. Definitely look forward to going back one day.

My husband surprised me with dinner at Killen's Steakhouse to start off my birthday weekend. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were phenomenal. I enjoyed the birthday wishes and holiday greetings from the valet, the hostesses, and all of the wait staff. The birthday card and gift card presented by our server from Killen's was a really nice touch.Starting off dinner, the pork belly appetizer was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious! Next up were the entrees... The dry aged ribeye was cooked perfectly. The crust on the steak was just right and it was juicy and flavorful. The red snapper topped with crabmeat was seasoned well and was light but surprisingly filling. As a side dish, the Alaskan crab risotto was ok but there were several pieces of shell in it. In contrast, the skillet potatoes topped with fried egg were perfect. To top it all off, the carrot cake and ice cream literally had me stuffed.I highly recommend Killen's for date night or any special occasion. We loved it so much, we already have dinner reservations to come back.

My boyfriend took me out to Killen's for Valentine's Day. Decorations were beautiful in there and super busy. However we made reservations and had to wait 20 mins to be seated, Got seated at 8:55 PM. Once we were seated our server Julia helped us and was very amazing! What started going downhill for us was the timing, we waited over 35 minutes just for an appetizer ( Salad & Soup). Then another 45min to an hour for our Entree. Overall we were there longer than expected. (2Hrs and 45 Mins) Appetizer, entree & dessert were delicious! However if you like steak sauce with your steak, be prepared to not have it here. They don't serve it.
