Attention Management and potential customers beware: Very disappointing to call at 8:15 on a Sunday to place a Togo order and be greeted with "what you trying to get, we close at 9" If they aren't going to serve potential customers until at least 8:30, they should change their business hours to CLOSE AT 8. You don't close at 9 if you're turning away customers at 8:15. All I wanted was a salad, baked potato and grilled pork chop and all they wanted was to clock out early and go home which I understand but business hours are business hours.

First time eating at Johnny Bull's, very average meal. The salad options were pretty good. I ordered grilled chicken and thought that I understood it would be added to my salad. Complete misunderstanding. My salad came out quickly and my grilled chicken arrived 15 minutes later. So, if you are wanting to add protein to your salad, it's not arriving together. Kind of odd. The grilled chicken was very good, but I had finished my salad by the time it arrived! Please note - everyone I have talked to said never order steak at Johnny Bull's, it's just not good. Very average meal, nothing great. Place was very busy by noon on a Monday.

First time eating here was on a Friday night. Very busy local favorite. There was a steady stream of customers in and out. We waited a bit for seating for our party of 6. Manager was accommodating- updated us about seating. They have a unique salad option- there are sheet with over 50 options to customize your salad. The salads come out quickly. Nice size serving no need to get an appetizer. This makes up for the time to get entrees out. My party ordered Ribeyes and prime rib. Brett kept our glasses filled while we waited for entrees. The typical country roadhouse decor with bulls mounted around the restaurant

Crowded , little noisey . Food was decent my husband had the fish and chips he didn't care for them that much said they were over cooked . I had shrimp and scallops they were good just enough spice. They have a full bar and of course beer and soft drinks . Next time we go maybe we will try the steak , seems that a lot of customers ordered that .

Very nice and attentive staff. I love the make your own salad sheet. My only issue is that they cut their steaks so thinly.

The restaurant was casual- almost felt diner-y. The staff was friendly, although a little slow to come over and great us and get our drink order. Our meals came out before our soup which we thought was strange. I ordered the 6oz sirloin medium and it came out like beef jerky. Was very dry and not that good. I had the baked potato soup for dinner and the dogs got the sirloin!

Upon entry, the staff was very friendly and greeted us happily. The menu didn't catch my attention or make my mouth water. However, the food did NOT disappoint. The salad was so fresh! The bull burger was flavorful. The thing that I didn't like was that we were in the back with one window and the lighting was poor. We asked the waitress if she could open the blinds and she replied, "We normally don't open them." Why not accommodate your customers? Especially when it comes to seeing your food.

Traditional Steakhouse Country Style Johnny Bull's offers a unique combination of classic steakhouse fare and southern home cooking. Portions are ample; service is friendly and fast. The decor is hard to define: shabby chic, upscale truck stop, almost pub or fancy diner. However you describe it, it is comfortable and neighborly. A good steakhouse test is how well it does Sirloin. This lean cut is often leathery or chewy. I found the Sirloin Steak at Johnny Bull's to be as tender as a good rib-eye and loaded with chargrill flavor. (6 oz $18.99 - 8 oz $20.99 / including One Side, Texas Toast and Made-to-Order Salad or Soup). The steak was a little thin and did not stay warm very long; but still delicious. I chose the Lobster Bisque, and was glad I did. The jumbo-sized bowl was filled with a thick, buttery, creamy, full-flavored soup and just enough Lobster to make it interesting. We enjoyed Shrimp and Scallops ($19.99 including Texas Toast and One Side). The eight Shrimp and four Scallops were perfectly grilled, tender and succulent. The crispy Waffle-Cut Sweet Potato Fries rounded out an enjoyable dinner. Our favorite lunch is a Steak Wrap with Teriyaki Sauce ($10.99 with One Side). Tender, tasty Steak Tips in a lightly grilled wrap with shredded Cheese, shredded Lettuce, diced Tomatoes and thinly sliced Onions. We also enjoyed the Mix and Match Special ($9.99 any Two / $11.99 any Three). The Grilled Cheese Sandwich on Texas Toast was rather plain (at least add a pickle slice); but the very large bowl of Clam Chowder was as good as I have had - thick, savory and 'clammy.' There are thirty-five items on the Salad Bar and twelve Dressings. You check off the items you want on a printed list at your table, and your server prepares your salad (there is no limit as to how many items you select). Johnny Bull's offers a basic selection of House Wines for the very reasonable price of $6.00 per glass or $18.00 per bottle. The Cabernet Sauvignon was full-bodied and nicely dry.

Great salad as a side. Get to choose from a list and they make. A meal alone. Service is very good and prices reasonable.
