LATTE BE! I will never say no to a cup of coffee. Whether it's drip or a latte, sign me up. After eating at Emerald City Bagels, we had some time to kill before our next activity of the day. Coffee was on the agenda. We were so happy to stumble upon Joe's. Joe's coffee is an East Atlanta classic. If you haven't been to Joe's what are you doing? They offer a variety of hot and cold beverages as well as pastries. Not sure if the pastries are made in house or ventured in, but they are all displayed very well at eye level when you walk inside the coffee shop. I loved the amount of space this shop had. Tables, couches and comfy chairs. Everything with fun colors. Extension cords were available for students/remote workers too. We love it when a coffee shop thinks of everything. We both ordered a toasted marshmallow iced latte. It was very good. But the best thing about this coffee shop are the employees. Each have great personalities and hold wonderful conversations with anyone and everyone who walk through their doors. If you find yourself in East Atlanta, definitely stop into Joe's you won't be disappointed!

I came here with a few friends and we loved it. A great coffee shop with such a genuine/authentic vibe to it. The barista was friendly. The art and murals were very cool. I loved the feeling in thereAlso love the values of the place. They openly support causes I align with and I respect that (like a ceasefire etc.) You can see it on signs and stickers around the place. I appreciate that they aren't cookie-cutter and that it seems to be a place where people can express themselves.I had a hot chocolate, bean and cheese empanada, and double chocolate cookie. All of those items were good. I especially liked the cookie and hot chocolate. It's a perfect spot for a coffee shop. It's a nice place to stop at after doing some shopping in East Atlanta Village and there doesn't seem to be a lot of coffee shops right in that area or on that street. It was fairly busy when we went in on a Saturday afternoon but not overwhelmingly busy. I definitely plan on coming back :)

I am a sucker for small coffee shops! I'm a big reader and will be going back to school next year so Ambiance is important to me when it comes to being productive & this place is such a vibe!! love the coziness and also open space! I'm on a hunt to find a good lavender vanilla lattes (i've already tried about 4 from other coffee shops and this one was the best) the strawberry mango smooth was also really good! We had Rhyann as our barista and she was so sweet! very helpful when we were trying to figure out exactly what to try! Will definitely be going back for coffee dates, solo dates, and to get school work done!

Absolutely a cool spot to come to for coffee and to hang or work. Great options and full of flavor no matter what you choose. The ambiance is nice and they have a nice playlist mf dim lighting. They have lots of setting and a cool vintage golden couch that is so comfy. I grabbed a white chocolate cherry frappe and iced chai latte with vanilla and oat milk

I'm visiting Atlanta and heard about this coffee shop from our bnb hosts. They had never been themselves, so I don't blame them for the dumpster fire I experienced. It may have gone well if there wasn't an overbearing manager or boss or whatever they were present. She was rude to her employees and was correcting them every step of the way. I overheard her berating one young lady and saying, " You think you're helpful, but you're not." I don't care what that girl did. She didn't deserve to hear that. When I asked if she's training a new crew, she said, " No, things happen. It's no big deal. You didn't wait that long. " I was there for over 20 minutes. And it wasn't that busy. They had to re- pour my medium coffee 3× because I waited so long for my chai. Otherwise, it was a nice coffee shop and looked cozy. Too bad I'll never go back or recommend it to anyone based on the managers bad behavior. At the end of the day, their coffee isn't that different than any other place, so they should focus on customer service.

So let me preface this by saying. I DID NOT TRY THE COFFEE. That being said let me explain why I gave a coffee shop 5 star despite not trying the coffee. I was in EAV strolling around and Joe caught my eye so I walked in. Let me start off my saying the inside is HUGE, and there's also outside seating that is a significant size as well. I absolutely loved the aesthetic of the coffee shop. The way the inside is set up is very homey. It feels more like someone's basement then a coffee shop, but in a good way. There are plenty of couch's, tables, and chairs so finding a place to work should not be an issue. Joes reminds me of the coffee shop in 'Friends' but that's just my opinion. When I went it wasn't too crowded or loud. (A Tuesday at around 1/2pm). Joes seems like a perfect spot for a coffee shop date, working or studying, a group project, casual reading. It's one of the best coffee shops I've been to in a while.Although I didn't have any coffee; I did however try the Vegan zucchini bread as well as the apple walnut bread. As someone who isn't vegan I can objectively say the Zucchini bread was better, but both were good. I'll have to update this review after I try the coffee. But solely from the vibes, bread, and overall aestheticsJoes gets a five from me.Be sure to look at the ceiling to see a cool Fresco. You're welcome! I will 1000% be back!

I really enjoy coming to Joe's to work. So here's the run down of my experiences there:Parking - it can be a pain depending on when you go. Mornings to early afternoon seem to be the sweet spot. Inside - I don't have any pics of it but think of a glorified basement with a bunch of seating. I especially love that they have couches and tables and chairs so you can choose which one you'd prefer. It gives it a nice cozy feeling to the place. And there are plenty of sockets for plugging in (can be a little bit hidden depending on how many folks are in there, but they are there).Food/drink - I've only gotten beverages so far and normally get the hot chocolate which is delicious! Ambiance - highly recommend for working and for meeting up with a friend or even for a coffee date. I've never experienced it being super loud, but then again I'm always jamming to something in my headphones because I'm easily distracted by random noises.

Joe's is an eclectic coffee shop with Intelligentsia coffee and abundant seating. The cold brew was fresh and delicious and my partner's latte was also on-point. The three-star review is due to the food, which was among the worst I have had from a coffee shop ever. I got a pain au chocolat, which is a straightforward pastry. The pastry was clearly old, and had been refrigerated at too low a temperature and hastily reheated. As a result the chocolate was scalding on the outside and rock-hard in the center. There was also way too much chocolate for the pastry, easily twice as much as I'd ever seen before.

$6 for an ice coffee, not an iced latte...or cold brew. The ice coffee even was watered down. I'm not sure Manhattan even charges these prices. Felt very exploitative especially for the neighborhood/area
