Friendly, helpful service!We shared a fried seafood platter and absolutely loved all of it! The fry is perfection, nothing greasy, and each piece was perfectly crisp. Lastly, the rolls, which I hardly considered, were sooo good! I found out the secret is that they are fried as well! We had finished the platter before I got to take a picture... so here's the menu item

Oh wow...... This place is a hidden gem!! The service is wonderful. We had two of the best, and they went above and beyond, ensuring we had the best service after a mix-up that wasn't a big deal. The food was beyond what the reviews stated. The portions are big, and each bite is so flavorful. The boudin balls were so delicious and the ranch tasted homemade. We shared a Shrimp platter and it was enough for both of us. The rice - best cajun rice and the different shrimp were so flavorful!!! We also received 2 slices of pie (key lime and coconut cream meringue).....the absolute best. Wonderful atmosphere! We will be back when we come this way again....everytime. :)

Wow Kemah has unbelievable hospitality. We ordered the Wednesday special which was $12 for fried flounder, stuffed crab, shrimp slaw, and potatoes. We also ordered the redfish with shrimp, bread, and shrimp slaw. The food outclassed Pappadeaux's for price and quality. Definitely worth a stop. The flounder was light and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Never had stuffed crab; it seemed more doughy and couldn't detect any bits of crab in it. It was neat tho that it was fried in a crab shell. The lady offered me a drink while I waited. That was very sweet of her. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

So many 5 Star reviews, so perhaps we just walked in on an off day. Staff and atmosphere excellent. The Gumbo was off, almost as if it were several days old. The crawfish étouffée was sweet (as if sugar was added) with a sour after taste. My Fathers's fried flounder was as thin as summer ice, and slightly over fried. On a positive note, the unsweetened iced tea was excellent. Like I said, perhaps it was an off day. Had to go try since it's been in business since 1944, and I knew Joe Lee when he had his bar in the Galleria .

This place was amazing. We were vacationing in the Houston area and wanted the eat at a place the locals frequent that wasn't a corporate establishment. The coconut shrimp was delicious. The owner's grandson talked to us about how all of the sauces were made in house and three different kinds of coconut were tested before it was added to the menu. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. If my travels find me in the vicinity again, I will definitely revisit this place. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

A very nice and casual local eatery. The service was absolutely amazing!! The staff were SO friendly and happy to be there!!! They were very helpful when ordering. I had fried shrimp and popcorn shrimp. The shrimp was great!! They delivered to your table. And they even brought honey to put on the warm roll, which was excellent! And the prices are very very good considering you're getting fresh seafood. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside isn't fancy. Don't let the looks and aesthetics fool you. The food is GOOD! The portions are generous. I was in town visiting with friends. We were headed to Kemah Boardwalk but decided we needed lunch first. This place is counter service, so we were able to place our order and find seating for our group of 7. Food came out hot and fast. My son had the chicken tenders. I had to break them up because they were hot, and you could see the steam coming out. The blackened fish and shrimp were tasty, with just enough spice to give it a kick. The rice and green beans were a complimentary side. When we come back into town, we will definitely go back.

Fried shrimp were really good and hot. Stuffed shrimp were so so bc stuffing didnt hv seafood flavor. Hot roll was tasty as were the fries. Gumbo didnt hv much seafood and one section was room temperature with the other side just warm. Wouldnt get that again. Grilled shrimp were very good too.

Good seafood, casual dining. Family and grandkids met for dinner on a Friday eve. Small parking lot but we got in ok. Catfish was light and not greasy. Fries are crispy and seasoned lightly. Kids loved the mashed potatoes! Green beans looked good. Servers are busy and friendly checking on tables several times. Casual beach shack vibe.
