JJ Fish & Chicken

I've been out here for a year now and have been told to try this place a while back. Well, I finally did (via Doordash) and unfortunately I was not impressed.The seasoning was perfect. It came hot. The portions were great.But the fish had an eggy-like after taste and worst of all, the batter was peeling off the fish soooo easily. It wasn't even a crunchy batter either. It's just really frustrating to eat fried fish that falls apart in your hand and can't stand up to a dip in hot sauce without the coating coming off.

Food was a 9/10. The extra "crack" makes it so much more flavorful. The lemonade is a must have!! You can add flavor to it if you want and they have a variety to choose from. Service was normal as they were very busy when we walked in. You can dine in or take out and we decided to dine in to sit and enjoy our food. The ambiance is what you'd expect for a normal fish spot, chill & family oriented. If you visit Atlanta and enjoy fried foods make sure you stop here before you leave.

If you're in for some good fried fish, you've come to the right spot. For some good portions and inexpensive prices -- come all! We got fried perch and strips + fried fish and fried shrimp. The plates come with fries, a little slaw & a drink.Very filling, but so so good!

Where do I begin!? First, the service is quick and efficient. Ordered inside, all the options looked too good but I settled on the chicken & shrimp combo for 12.99!! Everything was seasoned so well, wings weren't huge and the special garlic seasoning they sprinkled on top was too good! Although food is fried it didn't have that "greasy" taste to it. At night it was fairly chill inside but during the day it looks like it stayed busy.

The whole wings with the special white seasoning on top is amazing. Just know it's Old Nat so the parking is tight and they're always super busy. It's really good wings and the fish is cooked to order.

Normally I give JJ's 5 stars for their chicken dinners. I had my daughter pick up some cake....this little piece of cake was horrible! Strawberry flavored cake taste like medicine. I was irritated that I paid $6 for such a small piece and then irritated that I paid anything because of the taste. Threw it in the trash!
