Jen's Fish Fry

You are not going to go home hungry. Unless you're taking food to-go-home, in which case, you're not going to be hungry for long. Portion sizes are huge. These are generously large pieces of fish on top of a heaping pile of fries. My only complaint is that I wanted more slaw (and maybe more tartar sauce) than they gave me. The fish was good. The batter is just right and nothing was over-cooked. These folks know how to do a fish fry. And the prices are reasonable. My meal came with hush-puppies, too. Sometimes I think I could just eat a whole plate of hush-puppies. Mmmm.Jen does fish dinners (whiting, tilapia, or catfish), a shrimp dinner, fish nuggets, chicken wings, and even a variety of sandwiches made in the Southern tradition. Food is mostly made to order, so give them a little time--you won't be disappointed. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Holler if you're coming with.

Bae & I both was wanting fish so I suggested we come here after seeing all the hype on social media. We had catfish, chicken tenders, mac n cheese & broccoli. IMO it was underwhelming. I was expecting something more. The broccoli n mac n cheese was cooked w something I cant quite put my finger on it but it should omitted from the recipe. The fish & chicken was cool but nothing to write home about. Babe said his fries weren't all that. I may attempt another visit & get there a little earlier perhaps Ill be able to eat my food as soon as it comes out.

My family was in town from NY and wanted some fried fish. I called in the order and went to pick up in the alotted time. The order was ready but slightly off, which they caught before I even looked at it. They cooked more fish in a matter of minutes and even put in an extra piece. The staff was personable and pleasant. Moreover, the fish was hot and tasty. I ordered whiting and catfish, and they were both great. So great that we ate so fast we didn't get pictures, lol! I would definitely recommend if you want quick, hot, tasty fish. I'll be back!

I was satisfied, I was full and I enjoyed this place. The fried okra was delicious especially with that seasoning they put on it. The fish was of decent size and the pups were the size of Ape knuckles. Food score was 87 today.

I got food poisoning from a burger that I got from here. The customer service isn't the best. And the workers act as if they would rather not be there. Don't waste your time or money.

Very bad. Not only was our food cold (we live less than 10 minutes away), but the taste and quality was extremely unsatisfactory. 1. The hush puppies were burnt. 2. The fries were hard and over cooked. They also tasted and felt like they had been sitting out uncovered in grease. 3. The wings were undercooked. My son unknowingly ate undercooked chicken which is very unsafe.4. The color and presentation of the fish immediately stood out to me before we could even sit down and eat. It was very light, looked stiff and cold. After picking up a piece, it was confirmed it was indeed cold and hard. The fish is was very rubbery which lets us know it was over cooked. It was hard and chewy.We were extremely dissatisfied with our meal and had to go back out to buy more food elsewhere. Not only was this a waste of our time but the total cost was $42.68 (plus another $8 tip) and the food was not edible at all. We sent our comments requesting a phone call and when we received an email back, we thought we may have an opportunity for a better experience. Well, we think the email may have been an auto response because the owner/manager never gave us a call. We followed up 2 weeks later and provided our phone number again, but still no response. We are extremely disappointed in everything, and our hopes of this establishment being one of our go to places, we highly doubt it. With another black owned wing/fish business up the street and a JJs fish and chicken as well, we may not give this place another try. $50 is a huge waste and risk.

I was very disappointed. I thought my food would be fire. I was sadly mistaken. I ordered the whiting with chicken tenders & 2 sides. First of all only thing good was the tenders and veggies. The fish was over cooked. Don't get me wrong it's a cute spot and their homemade drinks .Cashier was young, nice but she wasn't cautious of orders and customers. She fit alot of orders wrong because she was singing or the music was to loud.

Worst telephone attitude from some woman who answered the phone. They will use this business again and have been using them for a minute. What's wrong with these people? I'm spending your money at the store. Just because I asked how many pieces in an order the woman had the nastiest attitude. they do not respect their customers . Black owned businesses need to know how to talk to their black customers We tried to support you, but your attitude makes us not want to come back. It's not the food it's you

I went here a few times good food bad service, when they mess up you pay for it. They messed up my order on two different occasions and did not fix it. They have this good sauce the put on your fish, but they forgot, I was told to come back and they will fix it, for me to drive back up there and they'll re make my order. When I got there she said no you can only get your money back for the sauce, not even my full order. It was a very bad situation. I spent 76.00 and she gave me a 3.00 refund

I visited the one on Tara blvd...got wings the 1st time ( Thai chili)..they were ok...I was hopeful of a better flavor...I was disappointed...bland taste hidden under internet fake out of ' anything green' on top to make you THINK this is good. ..it wasn't. I said I'll give it another try for the Fish...since it's Jens Fish....3piece catfish snack..., side of shrimp ( 8 piece )....this time I requested no 'green 'stuff ( parsley) as a garnish..because its actually camouflage for bland tasting food. The WORST part, which is sadly laughable, the shrimp that I ordered was , I'm probably sure of...was that FROZEN shrimp you buy from any grocery store...SEA PAK..I've worked at SAMS CLUB AND! Publix...I know the difference...but , the menu never said 'FRESH ' shrimp...so that's om me..but..it was not worth it. Lastly, I asked for ' no green (fake out taste) parsley on my menu choices...and it seemed they had a "disliking " to my request..their energy changed...prices ok...food not..at least for foodie that can cook like me. A real eatery set up..nice design and layout...but the food doesn't match the decor...BLAND...and cafeteria taste. ..When I left..cold / non thank you type stare..it's ok..I gave JENS A try( twice)...2 strikes...won't be a 3rd. Glorified fast food spot....I'll try another Fry somewhere else. Signed J'Boro disappointed
