The place is small ut the food is super delish!! and the price is very reasonable. There is only 3 of us at home so this is our to go place for our daily meals...They do not have a lot of variety because of their small place but all the food that I tried, the pansit, lechon kawali, beef steak, shanghai lumpia, fried bangus is all top notch...

I stumbled across this small shop near my parents' house after being struck with Filipino food cravings on a Sunday afternoon. It was quite busy with several families waiting for their food and cute old Filipino couples enjoying their Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, service was a bit uncoordinated, as I had to wait a while before being served even though the line was not that long. In cafeteria-style fashion, I picked chicken adobo, pancit and veggies as part of the 3-item lunch box special (~$7-8?) but they have other made-to-order items as well. It was all delicious and felt like a home-cooked meal. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area and craving Filipino food.

I have been done wrong by this place TWO YEARS IN A ROW!!! Last year, I ordered a tray of pichi pichi to bring to my family Christmas gathering. I drove all the way from Pearland only to leave EMPTY HANDED! They didn't have a staple ingredient that they use to make pichi pichi so they substituted it but the pichi pichi didn't turn out the way it should have. The old lady apologized & said the next time I ordered she promised she would make it right. December 10, 2019 I called & placed an order for a tray of pichi pichi. I spoke to a young woman with a Filipino-American accent. I was told this woman is the owner's daughter. She took my order, read it back to me & also the preferred pick up date & time (Dec 24, 3-4p). I called today, December 23 around noon to follow up on my order only to find out MY ORDER WAS NEVER ON RECORD!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! THESE PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BE IN THE CATERING BUSINESS WHEN THEY CANNOT EVEN GET A DAMN ORDER DOWN ON PAPER!!!! The ladies at the restaurant/bakery said there is no way for them to add a pichi pichi order with the amount of orders they already have. NO CONSIDERATION WHATSOEVER THAT I DID MY PART IN ORDERING AHEAD OF TIME & YET MY ORDER WAS NEVER WRITTEN DOWN. THIS PLACE SHOULD JUST CLOSE DOWN! UNPROFESSIONAL & VERY UNORGANIZED! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN! NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!! WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!I asked for the owner to call me but I guess they don't value their customers or the business we bring to them! SHAMEFUL!!!!

My second time to check this place out. I'm not sure why anyone would go here. It's counter service, with Filipino dishes that changes weekly, but when I asked when certain items will be available, they said it's up to the cook. So you never know when you can expect pinakbet or arroz caldo or something good. Didn't like anything from the buffet, so ordered the halo-halo. It was terrible. Don't think I'll return to this place. There are other places that I would recommend such at Eat and Out on Westheimer Pkwy.

I am not Filipino, but def our go to place for appetizer mini egg rolls-delish! A tray of 100 runs around 35$ and is always the first to go at parties. My hubby loves their flan as well. Counter service is on the slower slide. Many of the employees seem to be non-English speaking so communication is a little delayed but overall very friendly.

We've been coming here because my son loves the halo halo, the service is very inconsistent; depends on who is there. Today, 9/16/18 we bought halo halo and to my surprise served me a with FROZEN ice; after noticing the ice was frozen, I let it sit on our counter for 2 hours before checking on it again if it finally melted... after 2 hours it was still rock solid; I decided to give them a call because we've been going there since we moved to Aliana and they know me and my son as regulars, when I called I told them the shaved ice was frozen and the guy who made it blatantly lied and said the ice was just packed too much; they really served me frozen halo halo that they just topped off with ice cream; I should've known better because I was wondering why they didn't give me a dessert spoon like they usually do, it was really to hide the fact that it was frozen. They continued to denied that it was frozen and used excuse after excuse. This placed just lost a loyal regular customer; the only time I will be going back is to get my refund for frozen $5 halo halo sometime this week.

I randomly drove into the lot on a whim (I had time to waste) and saw the place so I walked in. Not much on display. Nothing labeled so I asked the nice lady behind the counter. The fried banana was delicious. Crispy flaky sweet crust around a sweet banana. Yum. The dessert with coconut milk and jackfruit, taro, jelly was good too. They also had flan and halo halo and some savory looking dishes. Prices are cheap. Banana was like $1.99. The dessert bowl was $5.

I'm actually not that impressed. The flavor was lacking and the food was cold... They had a very chalky kare kare, something they called orange chicken that was actually soppy breaded chicken pieces swimming in a sweet thai chili sauce, a flattened fried eggplant that was soggy, and some type of pork belly curry that was very gamey. All of it was cold as well as the textures and flavors were off. The ladies were nice. That's about all I can say.

The suman sa lihiya (glutinous rice cake) with rich, creamy coconut caramel sauce was soooo good in here. It's great for snacks or dessert (you can also have it for breakfast!) and is seriously addicting. If you're not a fan of the coconut sauce, you can add sliced fruit to the suman. Ripe mangoes make a great pair. Anyways, Jayli is a small place with like 2-3 tables to seat on. But due to the pandemic, they only do pick up and takeouts. They only have 8 ready to eat foods to choose from. Never tried any, but I bet it must be good. People here are nice and accommodating, also affordable prices. They also sell Siopao, leche flan, banana bread, etc.

Small restaurant but you'll be surprised how busy it is with "to go's". Well, the food is delicious like the specialty dishes prepared by grandma at home. My Filipina wife said, "it's like lutong bahay". Moreover, my wife added, "laging bagong luto". One more thing which my wife really loves is the price. It's reasonable, "mura", according to my wife. Well, what else do you want. You really must try Jayli restaurant.
