Overall a 5/10 Looks were great I love how they decorated it really gives me Jamaican vibes. Service was really good they had a lady up front she was really nice. Timing was good might have waited 5 min tops Mac and cheese was very mid watery and no cheese taste really not it at all Oxtail egg rolls were over priced and tasted ok but the sauce was the real winner with out the sauce it's very mid but with the sauce I liked it l. Oxtail cheesesteak was mid I thought it would be spicy since that's what I ordered but it wasn't. Overall was mid very overhyped nothing special. P.s. as I sat to wait for the food had a lot of flies by the door if I had sat down to eat that would have been really disgusting. I'd say work on flavor of the sandwich and those flies and give the girl at the front desk a raise she's nice

This is the first time I've had Jamaican food, and I am hooked! I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while now, especially since it's nearby. The parking lot isn't paved but the lots is medium sized. There's a cute outside porch area with tables and chairs. I ordered my food through their toast tab website and picked it up. From what I briefly saw, the restaurant is very clean and organized well. While driving home I could smell the jerk seasoning wafting from the container. I ordered jerk chicken with peas and rice and steamed cabbage as a side. The chicken was cooked so well, the fat rendered from the cooking so it was just the moist and flavorful meat underneath. I got the jerk sauce on the side and it was good, tangy with a kick. The cabbage was tender and well seasoned. Rice and peas were a good accompaniment with the meal. The plantains provided a sweet starch to the meal, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I got two legs and I believe it was two thighs. I will be definitely returning to try more on the menu.

The Ambiance: There are various Jamaican cuisine restaurants around Houston; but lately we wanted to try something different and when the motto is "We ain't faking Jamaican" it makes you want to stop by and see what the food is really about. When we made it to this side of town, it was around 12 and there were definitely customers there and it did not really affect the wait time. The restaurant gave a hole in the wall feel.l with mixture of the family vibes. While you wait for your order there's Jenga to keep you occupied. The customer and employees were super sweet. If we had any questions they were able to point us to a menu items or visibly show what we would receive. Our Order:Jerk Chicken eggroll: We chose the one piece to taste and when leaving we wished we would've chosen more. The jerk chicken egg rolls are not heavy. It's balanced perfectly with veggies and topped with the mango sauce ( the sauce had a sweet but a spice kick to it without it being over powering - there's an option to buy the sauce from them, i'd recommend)Nuff Food Plates: The order comes with the option for one entree and 2 sides. I chose the oxtails with rice and peas / Mac n cheese and an extra side - cabbage. The oxtails were very tender, the sauce paired with the rice and peas were perfect. The rice and peas were soft, The dish definitely resembled comfort food with the carrots and so forth that are added. The Mac and cheese were great ( there was enough cheese). The cabbage had the right amount of flavor added. Nothing about this dish is bland and I truly appreciated it. Nuff Nuff Food Plate: This option comes with 2 entrees, 2 sides, and plantain. My husband chose the fried fish, jerk chicken, Mac n cheese, and rice and peas. He felt the same way about the sides as I did. The Jerk Chicken was good, he felt more sauce could've been added but that was minor due to the chicken having enough flavor. He also felt the Fried fish was top tier and seasoned perfectly. He loved the plantains as other locations give something that is drenched in oil but he didn't get that here. Dessert: Strawberry Crunch bunt cake: This dessert reminded me of the strawberry cake my mom used to make when I was a little girl. The cake was not overly sweet and the crunch toppings brought the dessert to perfection. Pecan Pie bunt cake: simply sensational! Everything was a hit from the cake to the icing to the pecans. Zero complaints or advice on this dish. They know what they doing Drink: I order Ocean waterThe drink was not overly sweet, so it did not clash with the meal or dessert. I think this is important and definitely made for an even greater experience. Service:A lot of the dishes chosen were recommended by customers and employees that were there that day. Everyone was nice and knew exactly what they were talking about. Payment:Payment is quick and easy. There's no automatic gratuity but we choose to still tip and it was easy to do so.Overall we would definitely return and encourage others to try. It was a 10/10 and we have already made plans to bring some family members.

As a NYC native visiting Houston, I thought it would be a good idea to try Jamaican food for some interesting reason. My belly was hungry...don't judge me. The customer service should have been a clue as to how my dining experience would go. I called to ask if plantains are included with platters before ordering my meal on Uber eats and the lovely woman who answered politely confirmed. She even had me let her know what I was getting just so she could double confirm I would get my plantains once I ordered. This did not raise any red flags for me because most people KNOW that sometimes (most times) when the service is astoundingly rude at a Jamaican restaurant, it means the food is SUPERIOR! I joke but she was very kind and I liked that about this restaurant. Food: My food was delivered maybe a half an hour later. I ordered a jerk chicken egg roll, and a jerk chicken/oxtail dinner platter. I chose rice & peas, and cabbage as my sides. That egg roll was tasty. I could have ordered two of these and would have been content for the night. Is it something I would go out of my way to get? Probably not but I like the creativity. This was some of the toughest oxtail I've ever had. I can overlook the lack of butter beans but the oxtail lacked the sweetness that this Jamaican dish is known for and was on the saltier side. There was a lot of fat on the meat that I had to cut off. The skin of the jerk chicken was seasoned well and held the spiciness of the jerk. Beyond that it was a bit dry. I did not end up finishing it because of this. I ordered jerk sauce on the side and was instantly reminded of apple pie filling. There was a similar taste in the dipping sauce that came with egg rolls. I love apple pie but something about these sauces did not pair well for me. I would compare it to a cinnamon apple sauce mixture maybe another seasoning to give it a kick. The rice was pretty good and the cabbage was made well. This meal just seemed a bit salt heavy. Sadly, those plantains I called about were not included with my meal :-(. Overall this is just okay SEASONED food. This is not AMAZING JAMAICAN FOOD at all. If you think of it this way, then maybe this meal will be more enjoyable. Knowing this info, I probably would have opted for something else. Based on the Jamaican food I have access to when home, I probably wouldn't try this place again when in town but if you need a hearty meal, definitely visit this establishment as the portions are a good size (not worth the Uber eats rates though).

I really wanted to like this place. I'm having a hard time finding a good Jamaican food place here in houston. I got the two meat place with stew chicken, jerk chicken, rice and peas, and drunken plantains. It's not bad but there is something in the wood smoke used that I'm not a fan off the taste or smell. I also got a chicken patty which is good but a little undercooked. I tried both egg rolls and neither of them were my fave. I didn't like the Mac and cheese in the oxtail one or the cabbage in the jerk one. I wish it had more meat flavor. Glad I tried it but probably won't be backEdit: A few minutes after writing this and I have a terrible stomach ache. Ugh

The restaurant is beautiful. The vibe is right. The food is delicious. We ordered the: Nuff Nuff meal with chicken curry (the curry had potatoes yum!) and rice and peasJerk egg rollsChicken pattiesKid meal with fried chicken and macaroniUnrum punchGinger beerEverything was good (though the patties lacked a bit of flavor), the portions were great, and the prices were fair. I was especially thrilled to have a non-alcoholic cocktail offered. The unrum punch was delicious. We paid $62 for everything. We're only here for four days and it's so good that we're going back before we leave.

Upon arriving, you're immediately greeted by Jamaican flags and the establishment is nicely decorated to fit the aesthetic. There are few seating options inside and outside, it was overall clean. The food is so good! It all tasted great but my favorite were the Mac and cheese as well as the plantains. The jerk chicken was spicy but not overwhelming to the point where you couldn't eat it.I didn't have any issues parking, the lot is not big but it's enough to accommodate the traffic.
