Jacks Restaurant and More

Food was very good. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, collard greens, hush puppies, and an idea tea for $8.00. The meatloaf was fantastic. Def a hole in the wall but I thought it was great.

Stopped in literally got no service after waiting for fifteen minutes. Wouldn't have been such a big deal but waitstaff walked past me multiple times with no acknowledgement of my presence. Not even a good morning or hello. Did however notice that the one other person who was in there had his food brought out on what appeared to me to be foam plates and the portions were pathetic. Can't attest to the quality of the food because I received no service. Customer service is trash though.

Filthy and dilapidated.Slow service in spite of being less than a third full. According to the "host," they can only cook one omelet at a time. Food was mediocre. Probably would have been warm if I didn't have to wait for my wife's meal to arrive. Waste of time.

I don't know what to say about this place. I want to like it a lot, but the food is sooooooooo salty!It's kind of a fun find in a small town. When you come in the door the dear old man who obviously owns it is so obsequious and fun.But yikes, the food is so ridiculous. Salt on salt on salt!If you can tolerate it, there is a large old-timey dining area. It seems to have a regular clientele that I saw when I was there at 11AM on a weekday. Both retirees and people on their way to a job. It is a cheap breakfast.

Food is good, service can be a little slow sometimes, they cook eggs and pancakes to order so sometimes the food comes in more than one trip to the table, so start eating when your food arrives LOL. The owners are incredibly nice people, it's usually the husband and wife and I think the son works sometimes. Good people, good food, sure the place is a little outdated, but it's clean. The bathrooms are always clean. Can get busy at times, and you may have to wait a bit, but it's cheap, it's good, it's supporting local, and the owners are good people.

Went for lunch with my uncle today! Owners were super friendly the food was great the jacks special chicken wings were delicious. If you enjoy southern style cooking this little place is great. I hope to be in the area one day to try out the breakfast menu.

A long standing tradition in Hillsborough is breakfast at Jacks Restaurant. The friendly and efficient 2 person operation along with breakfast menu choices that offers you what your craving.The blueberry waffle with eggs and bacon were delicious . The hot sausage platter was yummy and plentiful. The coffee was fresh with a bottomless cup.The restaurant was clean and has plenty of tables for any size party.I would recommend Jacks Restaurant and look forward to another visit.

I love honestly love jacks! But I've been kinda disappointed lately because prices have changed. One time it was 9 another it was 9.50 then 9 again and now $10 saddens me that I'm not able to go back because of how ridiculously the price has raised, for food that I have to put salt and pepper on myself.

I love Jacks Restaurant, they have quality breakfast, and they take their time to cook to perfection I eat there at least 3 times per week!!!! Young lady is always nice and you can order she brings the food to table !!!!! Great Customer Service .
