So from my girlfriend's place, I can walk to J Christopher's and get there in about 10 minutes. We just stayed away from J Chris because the reviews were all pretty terrible. One random Saturday I went in on a whim to get us some to go breakfast and we were both pleasantly surprised! I walked away ordering the following two breakfast meals:Route 66 ($10.59)Pantry Feast ($9.79)Coffee x 2 Starting with my breakfast, the Pantry feast came with eggs my way, bacon strips, grits or oven roasted potatoes (I chose grits with cheese) and at least one blueberry crunch cake. So I had no idea what the crunch cake was, and thought it would be something cobblery. Instead it was basically a multi grain pancake. I enjoyed the flavor of it and it was very filling, though if you want you can add another for $2.20. The eggs were scrambled, and were decent, and the bacon was delicious. Grits were pretty good also! The Route 66 is a corned beef hash and oven roasted potatoes dish covered with sunny side up eggs. There's a choice of either an English muffin or a biscuit. We got the biscuit, and my girlfriend mentioned it was one of the better biscuits she's had in a while. She enjoyed every part of the dish but complained only about the portions being too much. She turned this into breakfast and lunch!I enjoyed the interior of J Christopher's. The bar with chairs had a stone finish, with wooden floors, bright lighting and a nice clean look to it. There's a staircase that leads to upstairs seating, although this day I didn't make my way up the stairs.Parking is very limited at the front of J Christopher's, with only about 3 or 4 shared parking spots, however there's more spots on the side of the building that you shouldn't have a problem getting your car in.Staff was friendly, helpful, and were happy to help me in any way. Oh yeah, don't forget to check into yelp to get your 20% off deal for first time customers!I'm a fan, and since this review we already went back for breakfast a second time (photos attached!) I'm definitely a fan!

I didn't know this location was there but I found it upon looking for the location that used to be just off Peachtree in Buckhead. Its consistent with the other locations. I was greeted and seated immediately. I ordered the blueberry crunch cakes with bacon, eggs and a latte. Everything was great, including the service. It wasn't busy so I was able to park right in front. On a weekend morning I could see parking being difficult.

Wow! Great "maple toast" aka French Toast! Good coffee perfect potatoes with perfectly scrambled egg whites! Such a charming restaurant and they have Bloody Mary's, Mimosa's, Bellini's, too!My friend had huge pancakes with bacon and eggs over easy.We were both stuffed and happy with our experience! Great service, too!

What to know: Dog friendly, full bar, good service, solid unassuming food.Food: Let's be real here, J Christopher's isn't anythung special. Just regular food and decent prices (for the area). I had the BELT sandwich but switched out the regular bacon for turkey bacon. It was surprisingly good if a bit too cheesy for me. The breakfast potatoes though were a little over done and not seasoned.Service: This was great. Our waitress was always available, checked on us at appropriate times and had a great personality.Ambience: Very open, casual style atmosphere. Feels a bit like you're in someone's house if you sit downstairs because of the staircase.Price: Considering the area, I don't think the prices were exorbitant. However, just personally, since the food is regular and nothing special, I would prefer the prices to be about $2 cheaper for what you get, but that's just the prices of the area. All in all, probably wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast or any meal, but if I had a dog it'd be a nice place to chill after a jog or a day out. Might even try them for brunch one day since they have a full bar.

We decided to try this location out because they had no wait on a Saturday morning. While we didn't like the overall vibe of the restaurant as much as other breakfast spots, the service was very good, and our food came out quickly. Our food was solid, except my pancake was undercooked in the middle. They were quick to replace it and give me an extra pancake. This aside, the blueberry crunchcakes were delicious! Overall, this is a good option for weekend brunch, especially when other locations have long waits.

Stopped in on Sunday morning when we saw signs on Piedmont telling us they were open. Great addition to the neighborhood! Service was a little slow getting off the ground - we were seated and then waited quite a while to have our order taken. We were bordering on hangry when we waved down the hostess after she sat another table and asked for a server. Just so happened that the restaurant's owner (we assume) was seated right next to us having breakfast, and she jumped up and came over to apologize. She even gave us a $25 gift card to make up for the experience. That's fantastic customer service right there! When we got our food, it was great. If you've ever eaten at J. Christopher's, you know it's got solid, classic breakfast options. We ordered a Pantry Feast with maple French toast and a breakfast skillet with sausage and gravy. Both were tasty and satisfying. I think the breakfast potatoes might have been improved with a little more time to get brown, but otherwise it was exactly what we hoped for. And at around $25 for two people, it feels like it could be a regular breakfast option for us.They are definitely still ironing out some kinks, but the space is bright and clean, and the staff is friendly. Also, they have a terrific 2nd floor outdoor covered dining area so you can enjoy the coming fall mornings. We are saving the gift card to use on a return visit. Maybe we can try the September banana pecan French toast next time (mmmm)!

I've eaten here many times, and never had a chance to write a review. The staff is very attentive, pleasurable, and always have a smile on their face. The food is always delicious, and served quickly.. No matter how many customers are in the restaurant they still treat you as an individual..Great job J Christopher's.
