Located in brickell, this high end Chinese restaurant has a pretty good 2024 miami spice!Started with a dim sum "platter", which sadly only includes one tasty dim sum and two interestingly fried spring rolls. The word platter made me think more than one dim sum. I wish it were so!Then you get duck pancakes which were pretty good! Followed by the main, I upgraded to the cod which was good, but perhaps not the best on the table. I tried the shrimp, chicken and pork too and felt the shrimp and chicken were the best flavored. Ended with a refreshing sorbet (two small scoops). I'd say for Miami Spice, it's not a bad deal to try this spot out! Otherwise the menu looks a little pricey. The vibe inside is classy, dim lit (almost hard to read the menu). It wasn't full on Sunday, but was getting more people as we dined. Valet parking in the back or mall parking a block away. Service was excellent!

Affordable and delicious brunch with traditional Chinese cuisine in Brickell. The options were pretty diverse, something for everyone. The cooking style is said to be northern Chinese which is true for the Peking Duck but a lot of their buffet dishes are spicy with peppercorns which is more southern Sichuan style. There's cold and hot dishes in the buffet along with the cutest little desserts. The calamari flowers were a miss for me, it felt a little undercooked and was spicy but bland at the same time. The Kou Sui chicken was flavorful but the chicken was a bit overcooked. My husband really liked the Wasabi Okra. I loved the vegetarian spring rolls, very unique crispy outer shell and tasted great. The other hot food options were decent but not out of this world. The green beans was my favorite. There were two fried rice choices and both were a bit bland. The LaZi chicken had potential but the chicken pieces were too dry. The stir fry noodles was also a little dry. The Zhejiang ribs had good flavor and with the sauce, it was good. Not fall off the bone meat but still soft. The best part of the brunch was the dim sum that came fresh and hot from the kitchen. Each one was unique and delicious. My favorite was the spinach mushroom dumplings. I also loved the litchi Panna cotta, HK tea tiramisu, black sesame biscuit 3 milks desserts. Was excited for the custard egg tart but the custard was hard and the outer shell wasn't crisp enough. The staff was super attentive and quick to provide everything we needed. Will come back again and recommend.

This place is great overall. We did not try the flaming duck but is is quite a show. We did get a taste and its great. They had an "emperor menu." It is nice to get to know the place and sample a few things. I recommend the beef and fried noodles. Will be back in the future!

We again visited Hutong, one of my favorite restaurants in Miami .Still a very good place, great food, but this time with it's up and downs. We decided to try the Emperor tasting menu. The food in general was excellent. The dim sum platter was very unique and exquisite. The steak was extremely tender and flavorful. Fried noodles and rice very delicious. On the other hand, the Peking Duck was cold and soggy. The fried chicken was non-descript and just ok. Dessert was piece of art again. Drinks were good, tasty and strong, but most of them were too tiki style for my taste for a dinner. Service was very good. Maybe it was my impression, but I felt that the menu had not changed that much from the last time I was there more than a year ago. I know that Miami is well known for restaurants with a night club ambience, and I really love that. But if I go for an early dinner at 7.00 pm , I expect a relaxing ambience, to enjoy the food and the company. A late dinner after 9.00 PM is another story . The restaurant was so dark it was hard to see what I was eating or read the menu, also music was so loud , that it did not feel right. I really love this place and I think it is a great place that I will keep coming back to, but I hope the core quality does not decline.

Hong Kong/San Francisco style Peking Duck in Miami you say? Why yes, complete with the "Miami Spice" marketing menu. I stuck with the Flaming Peking Duck which is as good as what you get in Hong Kong or San Francisco. Just excellent. Very good cocktails as well. All I ate was the duck, so didn't get to the rest of the menu. The Peking Duck came in two courses, the flaming presentation, sliced, and served with sauce and sliced vegetables in a mushu style wrap. The second course was diced for a lettuce wrap. It t was great duck either way. I had an excellent dessert, a butterscotch ice cream on a riz au lait. Delicious. If you want Chinese in Miami, this is the place.

I've been to Hutong twice and both times were really great! First time was for a Chinese New Years celebration dinner and the other time for happy hour which is Mondays-Fridays until 7. Service was great and the food was yummy. For happy hour, I especially enjoyed the "Comfortably Numb" & "Sakura" cocktails. I tried several of the little bites and you really can't go wrong with any. The Peking duck was also a highlight! Definitely on the pricier side in general but worth it!

Came for happy Hour. The drinks were strong and really good. We ordered one of each food item on happy hour. The skewers were bland I wouldn't order again. The hot and sour soup was also bland, sent it back, the dim sum was good. The black truffle and the chili cod were amazing. The prawn roll, the prawn and scallop wonton and vegetarian spring roll were my the absolute best.

My recent dinner experience at Hutong left me thoroughly impressed, especially with their renowned Peking duck. Opting for the special preparation presentation was well worth the extra cost, as it elevated the entire dining experience to a new level of sophistication and indulgence. The dim sum dishes were a testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff, each one meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. While the rest of the menu didn't quite match the exceptional standard set by the Peking duck and dim sum, it still offered a decent selection of dishes. What truly stood out, besides the delectable food, was the speedy and attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless. The ambiance was inviting and modern, adding to the overall charm of the restaurant. If you visit Hutong, I highly recommend indulging in their Peking duck--it's truly a culinary delight that shouldn't be missed. While the other dishes were satisfactory, it was the Peking duck that stole the show and made the evening a memorable one. Overall, Hutong provided a pleasant dining experience with excellent service and a modern twist on Chinese cuisine.

Hutong has been a favorite go to for spicy northern Chinese cuisine and I'm surprised I didn't write a review sooner.Hutong is located in Brickell, has a sexy dim lit vibe with woods and comfy sofa chairs even at the bar and outdoor terrace.I love their bottomless brunch on the weekends because it is a steal. You get full portions for the same price of the bottomless. I explored last Friday the autumn social hour. Drinks were $12. I got the numbing drink which was spicy and balanced. We also got shrimp rolls that were delicious and fried and shrimp and scallop wontons were succulent. For main entree we did both the red lantern and Chilean sea bass. Both were fried items but we enjoyed the spiciness of the crab and the sweetness of the marinade on the Chilean sea bassDefinitely go here for ambience, and excellent food especially if you like spicy!
