A kitschy little coffee shop conveniently located across from the entrance to the Atlanta Zoo. Visiting Howdy Atl made for an excellent start to the morning. The decor of the coffee shop itself has a very homely feel to it. The seating area is a hodgepodge old furniture that was fitting for the space. I really enjoyed the book rack in the corner of the room. The quiet and brightly lit dining room is the perfect spot to enjoy a good book and a coffee. Now for the most important thing, the menu items. I visited with my kids and got the cinnamon roll, grits with bacon and cheese, and the Beyond Sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Everything was excellent to include the coffee. The highlight being the grits, which reminded me of eating them at my grandparents house as a child. The only thing I would change about the experience is that they only service beyond sausage patties. While is it was decent, it just doesn't taste the same and took away from the perfectly baked and fluffy cheddar biscuit. They serve other pork based products, so I was left wondering why only serve Beyond Sausage? But I digress, if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and give Howdy a try. You will not regret it.

This place is on my regular rotation for pastries and coffee items since I live nearby and often walk by it when I walk my dogs. I love supporting small, local businesses and this is one of my favorites. For this trip, I ordered a cold brew which was around $4 and some change. They have some yummy pastries too - my favorite is the Willy B - basically a drop biscuit with iced sugar icing. They have some outdoor seating which fills up quick on a nice day. Love that dogs get a free biscuit at the counter. My dogs know they get treats here and always beg to stop.

Super close to zoo Atlanta and walkable distance. I love their animal themed drinks, and they definitely know how to target their audience. The ambience is more homey like brick walls and wooden furniture, but they would be more decor! I'd come back here for another bite of food.

Such a cute spot! This is our go-to spot now whenever we head to the zoo (right across the street from the Cherokee Ave parking lot). The cheddar drop biscuits are delicious as is the pumpkin bread. The coffees are great as well; most recently tried the maple latte for fall. The staff is delightful.

A quick breakfast bite if you not looking for a full meal breakfast and on the go as well. The place was close to one of our destinations. If you plan to go to Atlanta Zoo, you park in the zoo parking lot and cross the street and you find it.

My friend and I purchased breakfast here before I visited the Atlanta Zoo on my own. There was one customer ahead of us. The interior is small but cozy. I ordered a gluten-free cheddar biscuit and a coconut brownie as well as a hot espresso beverage called the Bee Sting. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious! I would definitely recommend this location. It's literally across the street from the zoo entrance. They have outdoor seating. The customer service is excellent.

We were headed to the Zoo and wanted to grab a coffee first so we stopped in this little shop across from the Zoo parking lot. You order in the first area to the left and then walk through the back to a large cozy dining area. We tried the Sun Bear latte and it was yummy. The biscuits were delicious. We both had the herb cheese biscuit, I had bacon and pimento cheese and the hubby had bacon, egg and cheese. We will be back! The pastries looked yummy too complete with a Wille B cinnamon roll. The staff were busy but very kind and helpful.

Loved everything but the grits. The biscuit & quiche was great though, def would recommend because it's a cute space and like I said I loved everything but the grits but that could have been an off day

Very solid coffee shop. The space is pretty small so it's good for a grab and go type of vibe. Would def recommend if you're in the area

Truly kind people and a wonderful vegan biscuit!! Fast service and a cute space. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience!
