"We stumbled upon this specialty restaurant on a Friday evening and were extremely satisfied with what we got! Wanting to try something new, this was definitely a first check mark on our long list of things to try.The interior is nice and clean and the waitstaff is extremely patient and knowledgeable. The menu isn't very expansive, it is definitely a speciality restaurant with mostly jokbal (pig feet), bossom (pork belly) and blood sausage. We went 04/2024 and they had a promotion for $20off $50 if you download their app and sign up for their rewards program. For two adults and one kid, we ended up ordering M5, M6 and M9.First comes first, the banchan! You get 3 different dishes, Kim chi, a salty/sweet pickled radish and pickled cabbage with jalepenos. All were good. The M5, beef neck bone soup with cabbage and bean sprouts had a subtle and delicious flavor. It wasn't too heavy and was a nice additional to our meat heavy dishes.M6 is the jokbal. In lieu of order a giant portion for the two of us, we shared the individual order and it was more than enough (along with our other dishes). It came with lettuce, slices of raw garlic and Jalepeno and a soybean dipping sauce. Wrapping up a little bit of everything is the way to go. Delicious, fatty pork combined with the saltiness and spiciness of the banchan made for a great first experience.M9 is the Galbi. Tender, super flavorful and served on a huge bed of sliced cooked-ish onions, this was a hit for us. All our dishes came with rice, which complimented the Galbi perfectly. The meat wasn't chewy, it was tender and cooked well. After taxes, our bill came out to $65 but we were able to apply the $20 coupon, make this meal (which served as two more meals for us afterwards!) was definitely worth it."
"Not to be confused with Pamela Bread, which is basically my friend Pam baking in her basement and then selling it to people that live on the street.I don't really like Panera and I think their food is awful. Some of the coffee type drinks are actually okay if a little overpriced, but no more so than Starbucks (better drinks than Sbux, no more expensive, maybe a little cheaper). What I usually like is their service and free water and free Wi-Fi and plugs, you call them outlets, but the service here is very mixed. There are a couple of very rude and angry people working here. That's why I gave it three instead of four."

"Came here for early brunch. Ordered ahead since we know food takes a while to come out. We were the only customers when we arrived. 1st dish came out within 15 mins. I was expecting the rest to come out soon after since we ordered 5 of the same dishes. However after another 10 mins went by with only 1 plate out I was confused. 3 more tables came in. Later on she came out with the rest of the plates however it wasn't what we ordered. It was a big mess. So again waiting for our food we watched the other tables got their food and they ordered the same dish as us. I thought our order would be rushed since there was a mix up. So by now all the other tables got their food and we're still waiting for ours although we ordered in advance and the first table. We waited another 15 mins..it was only the owner working the floor. Our food finally start trickling in. The food itself is not bad, however the service is very poor. I'm sorry to say this because she's an older lady but she's slow and clearly not capable of running the floor by herself. As soon as we finished our food we noticed a female waitress clocked in. A little late when the restaurant is busy on a weekend. The owner came by and asked how was everything (everyone was already done eating) and she want to the cashier counter. I assumed she was grabbing the bill. I was wrong, I have no idea what's going on in her mind but we waited about 15 mins. It came to the point that we had to fetch her and grab the bill. Tldr; service is very slow.Although the food was ok, I will not be returning."
"Service here is a little dry and didn't feel too welcoming. It's a beautiful interior and ample seating. Was a little disappointed that you either had to buy their in house teas or just can sodas. A bahn mi, large pho and 3 canned drinks is a little pricey for almost $30. We were in the area and wanted something nearby. May or may not return. Didn't leave too much desire to come back."
"I'm a fan! I've passed this place plenty of times and today I told mom - we're going! I wasn't feeling well at all and I just knew pho would do the trick! As soon as we walked in Jimmy got the door for us. So polite and kind. After chatting, he told me he's the chef. I told him I need a quick fix for my body pains. The pho did not take long to arrive at all. Some people might think I'm crazy for eating hot pho in this hot weather but I broke a sweat and I think that's what I needed. This pho healed me! Thank you Jimmy! I would come back just for Jimmy anyway. He rocks! The place is nice too. Very nice lighting in the dining area and in the bathrooms too! Now I can continue to run my errands feeling better!"
"The service was attentive and quick. I had beef vermicelli and the hubs had shrimp pho. We shared spring rolls. With my vermicelli I also received an egg roll and a shrimp sugarcane roll (maybe not called a roll but anyhow...). The beef was super flavorful and tender. Really good flavor. I did need to use some of my husbands broth because the noodles have zero sauce on them at all. I guess I was expecting something on them so they weren't just a clump of noodles. That being said, with a little broth they were really nice. I definitely prefer the spring rolls to the egg roll. The spring rolls are crunchy and flavorful but the egg roll lacked a crunchiness and felt a little mushy inside. The shrimp sugarcane thing was ok. Probably an acquired taste. The vegetables in my vermicelli bowl were super fresh and crunchy. Overall I really liked the beef vermicelli bowl...with a bit of broth. It was light and satisfying. The shrimp pho was good. The shrimp were nice and big and nicely cooked. I had hot tea, as well. It was fresh and hit the spot. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. If you're in Rosenberg, give them a try. You won't regret it."
"You've got to have respect for the pho shops that have one person cooking, cleaning, and answering phones all at the same time! The pho broth here is very flavorful, and the meat cuts are actually pretty good. I'm not usually one to favor brisket over the usual rare steak or meatballs, but my husband and I both agreed the brisket here is particularly delicious. We also got the fried egg rolls, which were a little oily but SO tasty and crispy. The chef is so nice and so friendly! She was all laughs and smiles while cooking and serving tables by herself. There was a little bit of a language barrier but she was just the sweetest! You can tell she makes her food with love; the pho tastes like it was homemade, and I mean that in the best way possible. It is a tad pricier than other pho places, but we expected that since it has such a convenient location right off I-10. For the homemade taste and the great service, I'd say it's worth it. We will definitely be back!"
"So you used to say au revoir when I was leaving, but lately I've been saying Ciao. I notice you say Ciao too. have you been saying Ciao Long? They basically sell just one thing which is the title of the restaurant - Chao Long - and my question is chow long has this been going on?They make the best version of the dish I've ever had even though I've only ever had it maybe five times. Further evidence that Houston is the best place for Vietnamese food because it's so good and so authentic that it's the only place I will get this now, and I'm talking about anywhere in the country."
"With the recent cold front, my girlfriend and I were really craving a warm bowl of soup. She mentioned wanting to go to Ishin and I had never had authentic Udon so we decided to head over for dinner. There are a lot of good-looking, busy restaurants in this strip so it was a little challenging to find parking, but we eventually found a spot far down from the door. The lighting, decor, and overall ambiance of the restaurant were overall very warm and cozy. It seemed relatively busy and while the place was relatively full we were seated immediately and the wait staff were very friendly throughout our time there.Since this was my first time having udon, it took me a second to look through the menu because everything looked and sounded amazing. Eventually, we decided to start off with the takoyaki which came out hot and was delicious. The filling had the perfect ratio of octopus to sauce. Next, we ordered our main courses, she had the sukiyaki udon and I had the kitsune udon but I wanted some sort of meat so I got a side order of chashu. The broth in both of the soups was incredibly flavorful and rich and just what we were looking for. We finished the meal off with the banana tempura which was the perfect way to end the the meal.Even though this was my first time trying Udon Ishin made a very good first impression on me and although it seems very authentic I think the menu, staff, and atmosphere make this a very approachable spot for anyone to try. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Ishin and I am excited to return and try a few more of their dishes in the near future!"

Have only been here once so far, but plan on many return trips. We ordered the sundae combo, the neck bone jjigea, and the intestine jjigea. All were outstanding. The sundae was some of the best I've had in Houston, tender, flavorful, sooooo much better than the ones you get at H-Mart (go figure? ). The intestine and organ meats thst came with it as a combo were clean and tasty. The neck bone jjigea was overflowing and packed with meat bones for your gnawing pleasure. Soup had depth and left that wonderful stickiness on your lips. The intestine jjigea was equally good and a great hangover meal as it's traditionally meant to be. So many other menu choices, so will have to have a few more visits to make our way around. Definitely worth a visit!

Great spot to study, catch up on work, or even have a lunch meeting. As well as if you just want some good sandwiches & soups to eat. I love the pick 2 options where I can try half of this & that. I had their berry salad & tuna salad sandwich. Both were so good & filled me up. You can also sub the bread for chips.

I ordered a few grilled pork bahn mi sandwiches to go and added extra meat. Also ordered spring rolls. It was easy ordering online and the food was ready when I arrived. Great flavor and fresh. I came back with my family to dine in a week later for lunch. We had the wonton noodle soup with rice noodles and the grilled pork and eggrolls vermicelli bun bowl with fish sauce. We ordered eggrolls as appetizers. Great fast service, enjoyed all of the food. Week come back the next time I come in town.
Visit Restaurant Page"I know this seemed sketch being that it's out of a gas station but, this is THE best Thai food around! placed an order to-go and everything was delicious! Curry, Pad Thai, all the things on the menu. Only caveat is it is a bit pricey however for a delicious meal, I think we would all agree that we'd rather pay a bit more for a meal that you'll enjoy from start to finish. Their kitchen is clean too so despite it being at a gas station, debunk the myth and try it!"
"This little place is super underrated! Hot, fresh, and flavorful food. We are vegetarians and are always looking for a new diet-friendly place that doesn't break the bank and has actual hot food for our dietary restrictions. We ordered the Eggplant Garlic sauce (a little too sweet but tasty with a slight kick at the end). We also ordered the Tofu curry vegetables which was unique (think curry masala added to fried tofu and veggies) and the steamed dumplings were a hit. 1-star less for smaller portions for the price of $9-10/entree. We will definitely try this place again to see if their vegetarian noodles are good and to continue to support this restaurant during these unforeseen circumstances."
"Oh my goodness....This place is phenomenal. The service was fantastic. Our server Makayla was sweet, funny and helpful. She was very quick in taking our orders and kept our glasses filled. The owner - who's name I didn't catch - was likewise friendly and informative. The beers were delicious - and some, half off. My Dad and husband ordered Satyrs Swill Bock and the Yellowstone Pilsner. They had my favorite and long sought after Yellow Rose IPA! We ordered several other beers on tap and fried pickles which were a hit. It's very reasonably priced. The burger was delicious! My kids loved the chicken fingers, grilled cheese, green beans and assorted steamed veggies. My dad got the chicken fried steak; my mom also got a burger; and my husband got the boneless chicken wings. We all stopped short of licking our plates!! It's a very laid back, pub atmosphere that is also kid friendly - they had complimentary ice cream for the kids! We will most definitely be back!!"
"This place is great! Very friendly service, and they are quick to pick up finished dishes. I ordered #15 raw round eye. The broth was so flavorful!!! The meat was perfect. Great bowl of Phó. I also ordered the fried #1 Vietnamese egg rolls. They were good. Pretty big so if you are eating alone, go with the half order."
"Solid pho for solid price.Came here with my dad for breakfast. Ordered the number 12 large. Service was super quick and the lady who served us was really nice. I also ordered a cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee) to go. What I like about this place is that they give you the coffee to brew and mix yourself. You can make it however strong you want. The pho here is super solid. They gave a lot more than I expected for a "large" which was a medium since they have an XL bowl. I was a lot more full than I thought I'd be.Overall, a great place for pho!!"
"Staff was rude, an employee was loudly getting scolded in front of customers by I'm assuming two managers, person at register was hella rude didn't even bother standing there to take my order with him went to the Kiosk instead...the only kind person was the Hispanic man giving customers their food, and cleaning up after which I felt terrible but he smiled and was kind. I haven't been here in such a long...definitely won't come to this location. They need grown ups running the restaurant with customer service skills. Least the food was good thank heavens!"
"Great place! It's been here awhile and have always driven by but never stopped. Today I changed that! Came on a Saturday afternoon at 2 and there was only 1 other table so it was nice and quiet. Place is super clean and staff was friendly. The Pad Thai was great! And the Thai Dumplings were delicious. Would definitely add this to my rotation of places to eat at going forward. Will be back!"
"Some of the best Vietnamese eggrolls I've had, hot, crispy tasty. The beef vermicelli was a bit dry but tasty. I would have preferred a bit more moisture. The noodles were solid and it's definitely worth a second visit."
"We enjoyed the service and quality of the food. The lunch special General Tso's chicken was very good. My wife got the chicken, shrimp and beef mandarin style, it may have been slightly better...both great. We both got the wonton soup and they were really tasty, the broth had a lot of flavor, the noodles were slightly al dente....just the way I like them. The egg rolls that came with each meal were small and average. They keep a lot of condiments on each table during the meal, I like not having to ask for Chinese mustard, hoisin sauce, soy.......Order at the counter and they bring it to you....we'll be back."
"We have been coming here for quite some time now, this is my third review here because I like coming back to update reviews for places I frequent. There was one time that we weren't the biggest fan of the food or service. We had came in and the staff were all different and the food tasted different, if I can remember right the music was even different. We didn't come back for quite some time after that because it saddened us that things were so different. But, the next time we went we brought my father and his wife (who is generally very picky and critical of things) and they loved the food and the service and food was back to what we were used to. My brothers order are the eggs rolls as an appetizer which he ADORES and the rockin chicken. He recently asked me if he could get the egg scrambled instead, which we did and he loves the way it tastes scrambled. I get the P4 with extra meat, I squeeze in a lime, throw on some of the hoisin sauce, and throw some of the vegetables from the side plate. My youngest brother gets the same order as me, kids size, and he puts some sriracha sauce in it.Overall, aside from that one time, the service is always incredible, the food is incredible, and our time there is amazing. When I go tell my brother we're going to pho 99, his eyes light up and he gets ready instantly to go out. I cannot recommend this place enough. We absolutely love it."
"I'm going to sandong my own two feet and write this review as best I can.Definitely one of the best places to eat in Chinatown with delicious noodles and wonderful food. It's really very popular and very busy and good for people-watching as well.I can summarize this one quickly - basically delicious and somewhere that I go on a regular basis. One of the 20 fave restaurants in Chinatown for me."
"Great spot to get a banh mi in Houston! I've ordered lunch from here a few times and it's consistently delicious, and we also had a good experience dining in for the first time recently. My go-to order is the grilled pork banh mi, which comes with jalapeños, cucumbers, pickled carrots, cilantro, soy sauce, and garlic aioli. The pork is super flavorful, and the garlic aioli compliments it so well along with the crisp cucumbers."
"The interior was a little unclean (floors, tables). Service was mediocre but the food was good. I got cheddar broccoli soup and a turkey bacon bravo sandwich. This location has a drive thru which makes ordering even more convenient."
"This is simply a go-to spot in town! It's got a great atmosphere, chic decor for a Pho spot and MUCH cheaper than most of your new "hip" pho spots in central Houston.I am a big advocate of their spring rolls because they use their banh mi meat and it is just out of this world! I haven't found many spots that serve a more unique menu of spring rolls.Their pho is delicious, it's got plenty of flavor and a great feel good dish after a busy week.I highly recommend this place, the people here are so welcoming!"
"Bun rieu and canh bun was very good. Lots of msg but better to have this than lacking flavor imo. The service was good and they seat you as quickly as they can even though they are busy. I love how the interior reminds you of Vietnam. From the TV show to the artwork, you really get a nice feel. Would definitely come back again! 1 star off for forgetting one of our bowls. We had to remind them and check on it. Aside from that, they apologized and all is well."
"Pretty decent spot for your late night 'drunk' food, they close at 2am!! A rarity outside midtown or Washington Ave.The inside is cute with decorated chains dividing each table. Plenty of Kpop on TVs all over the restaurant. It might be hard to fit more than 6 people. They have a buzzer at the table to call up a waiter, recommended to use this otherwise they may not pass by too often. The banchan is super solid! One of my favs in Houston, no joke. The Army Hot Pot is a good amount of food for 3-4 people. The nuggets are good and goes with the cheese fondue, my only wish is the fondue wasn't the same price as the nuggets :OI give One Shot Pocha 4 Wonyoung's, out of 5."
"Really yummy! Great grill/char flavor on the shrimp. Super delicious, was ready quick, good amount of veg and hit the spot."
"The first thing we noticed here was that the water tasted like japchae. If you drink it before your food comes out, you can definitely tell it has some sort of flavor/greasiness to it. But! Once you start eating your food, it blends in and you can't tell anymore. We ordered the seafood pancake which was super good! It was nice and thick and chewy, but I do think the outside could have been a little crispier. We also got the spicy pork bulgogi. They give a good amount of meat and this was also delicious, but my personal preference would have had a little bit of a sweeter sauce. Overall, everything was still delicious. But since they're called a noodle restaurant, maybe we should have tried some noodles."
"So this was definitely a different concept. Build your own pho at the counter... like subway or chipotle. The pho dip tasted like hoisin sauce and I think they forgot the bone marrow in it bc I didn't taste or see it. The pho broth was too sweet. I added the beef bone on the side. Overall I'd say it was just ok. The sandwich wasn't bad bc I like hoisin but it lacked any other flavor. The pho wasn't bad, just too sweet. Service was good."
"Korean is to Houston what Wonderland is to ALICEAnd please invite me over to drink from your CHALICEYou find my words offensive but I don't mean MALICEEven though I agree, I'm cocky and CALLOUSBut anyway let's discuss LUCKY PALACEIf you know a better place, please do TELL USAnd yeah I'm one of those arrogant FELLASIt could be worse though, I could be from DALLASWHATSo if it's so good that you wear it around your neck, it's "Lucky Necklace." And if they open a location in the French Capital, it's "Lucky Paris." And if I do an "American Pie" but replace the Pie with a this Korean food because it's just so tasty and sexy, then I'll end up with a soup-covered "Lucky Penis."Very delicious Korean restaurant with really friendly service and lots of sexy music videos playing while you're eating. This place feels homestyle and friendly and personable and not corporate. And it feels old, like it's been here forever, but in a good way of course. If you think Houston's Chinatown is a wonderland, then that makes this the Palace In Wonderland. We definitely love coming to Lucky Palace, and one of the great things about it is that there are only a couple of Korean restaurants that have this feel and this sort of taste and excellence located in Chinatown, so without having to go up to Spring Branch, this is one of the better ones you can get. We highly recommend it.If you keep repeating "I want Korean food" every time I say it, then it's Lucky Parrot. And if you get committed because you go crazy over this food, then it's Lucky Padded (cell). In terms of things that they could improve, I would say that they should make the spicy soup actually taste spicy, for me, that would help a lot.And if there is a fire here while you're here, it's Lucky Panic. And if you order a Soupuos instead of just Soup, then it's Lucky Palindrome. And if you bring Mel Gibson and Tina Turner here to help you navigate, then it's Mad Maps: Beyond Palindrome.Coldplay said it best."In my Palace, in my Palace,Were Korean soups that I couldn't taste,I was lost, oh, yeah.I was lost, I was lost,Crossed state lines I shouldn't have crossed,Well not without a handgun, oh, yeah.Yeah, how long must you wait for your food?Yeah, how much must you pay for your food?Yeah, how good is this Korean food tho rly amirite?""
