Why wrap the hot iced donuts in the wax paper. All the icing is transferred to the paper.

I ordered custom birthday donuts from here and I could not be more pleased. I fumbled the ball and forgot to place my order with my usual spot. Cue panic and Googling of where I could still order at 4pm. Shipley's saves the day! They were still open and happily accepted my order over the phone. Showed up at 6am, order was ready and exactly what I asked for. My coworkers loved them and birthday girl couldn't have been happier.

Kolaches are aight, good breakfast food but the donuts are the NUTS. Reasonably priced too yom yom

I went for the first time the other day and I paid 74 cents more for a bag of donut holes than I would at a shipleys in houston, I think I will just grab a bag when I'm in Houston from now on, the quality at Ella location is by far the best around anyway.

The girl with the glasses that works at this Shipley's has terrible customer service etiquette. She is rude and needs some serious training. She can't count, never smiles, never says thank you... absolutely the worst person to have at the counter taking orders and dealing with customers.

I think I might have been mount the first 20 people to visit when thy opened, however it was this mornings visit that I writing about. The place looks great , the staff was friendly.All the donuts and kolaches were delicious an fresh as well. Met with one of the owners and she was an absolute delight. I wll most definitely put this as a fav pot to grab stuff to take to customers and on occasions for myself. Great start

I thought I would be a good dad today and get Shipley's for my kids before I got back home after running an errand. I went through the drive-through as usual not expecting anything great. Usually I don't like the woman that is at the drive-through window that gives me the donuts. I'm not sure exactly what it is with that lady, maybe it's the attitude or maybe it's something else but I just know that she annoys me every time I deal with her. I think maybe it's because when she gives me the donuts the bull's-eyes that I buy for my kids that have whipped cream on the top are always packed in tightly on their sides which makes a mess out of the donuts and makes them look terrible. So needless to say this was a type of service I was expecting. To my surprise there was someone else working the window! I was planning on writing a review today and giving this place two stars after receiving bad service as I have come to expect! Here's my thought process... the donuts are about the same everywhere I go they're not great but not bad they are donuts! And if the donuts are better than usual I would give it four stars and if they're hot off the assembly line and taste like Krispy Kreme donuts then I would give them a five! But if the service is subpar and the donuts are average I would give them a two or if it's really really bad service and bad donuts I would give it one star. When I got home I open the box expecting to see the bull's-eye donuts with whip cream on the top turned sideways and smashed together as usual but was shocked when they were placed in the box nicely as I always hope they would do. And this is why I gave them three stars today instead of writing a review and giving them 2. If I continue to get good service like this then I will revise my review and up it to four stars but I don't think I will ever go to five since the donuts are not exceptional...So keep up the good work to the lady that was working the window today and I hope to see great service again in the future so I can increase you to four stars!

This is at least the 5th time they have got my order wrong. Save yourself the time and forget this place!!!

Everyone knows Shipley's is the spot for donuts in Houston. My favorite donut from there is a warm blueberry cake. Do yourself a favor & check it out if you haven't before. A close second that you can't go wrong with is the classic glazed. Since we're talking about donuts, I have to add that my favorite donut of all time is the Boston Cream from Dunkin Donuts.
