"We had a great time at the Bullet Grill House while visiting Lake Livingston!I chose the "build your own burger" option, and my fiancé ordered the Bite the Bullet Burger, which is a double burger with pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, and grilled jalapeños on a jalapeño cheddar bun. The burgers were delicious! I really appreciated how soft and fresh tasting the buns were.We shared the sweet potato fries and mac & cheese as our sides, which I really enjoyed as well. Our waitress was friendly, and our food was brought out quickly! If you are visiting Lake Livingston/ in Point Blank in the future, I recommend checking this spot out for dinner."

Raj, as he's affectionately known, has gone above and beyond for his community, and year after year he's recognized by many local entities including: schools, police departments, fire departments, etc. for his commitment to those his restaurant serves. His restaurant has also helped many first responders to gain access to life-saving equipment through The Firehouse Foundation, a non-profit organization that uses your "round-up" money that they ask for at the register. With that in mind, I'd like to ask you to say "yes" the next time you're asked. For those that donate on a regular basis, please know that it helps. "My initial draw to Oui Banh Mi was their drive thru, which similarly to Lee's on Bellaire (#1), is a rarity for any Vietnamese based restaurant in Houston. After a number of visits with average experiences, I'm convinced their food is solid in a pinch, but not exactly a go-to option. Given that a good volume of their business is takeout, they've been an ideal pandemic type restaurant. Seating is minimal on the inside, but there's a few booth type areas for those who want to dine in. They seem quite modern overall with a sleek menu and fun mural to boot.The food is a mixed bag. One could argue that it's watered down and/or a tad gringo'y, but it lives to serve the neighborhood. Their namesake banh mi has been the least appealing thing on their menu since the bread was stale and the portions were paltry at best. I've tried their signature chargrilled pork and pate, which had very little of both. The first time I thought it was a mistake but the subsequent visits of skimpy sandwiches made me think otherwise.I think a better route has been their vermicelli noodles, particularly with chicken and egg rolls. The fish sauce isn't that potent, but it is definitely sweet. I do think their Vietnamese iced coffee is a clear winner and the pho should probably be avoided at all costs. Spring rolls are also a gamble at times, since the wrapping isn't always tight, resulting in a limp roll or one that's constantly falling apart.Service has also been a mixed bag. Minus the occasional order snafu, I find the service really depends who's at the counter. The awkward times of ordering in Viet has been met with a bit of pushback, to the point where my party and I stopped saying banh mi all together.Their prices are good for the area and I think the fact they use the Coco mini-robot delivery machines are cool. "I am all about supporting my local businesses. Especially, if it has been in a business for a long time and looks like a true hole in the wall. Usually, they are doing something right to keep them a float for all of these years. However, that was not the case here.I had read that their cheesesteaks were pretty decent from the other reviewers. I came in and got a 14 inch mushroom steak. It was lacking in meat and flavor, it was very bland. They did not have much as far as sauces to help boost up the flavor either. A bottle of A1 and tobasco. Also the 14 inch was just 2 7 inch subs. That proved to be good because I ended up just taking home the other half and adding some extra ingredients at home to make it a little bit better tasting. I must say the price point was good, but the wait time was pretty slow too."

"2.18.23 My hubby and I decided to venture around our new area and try Whitehall Icehouse. A friend recommended their breakfast but we were slow moving and missed breakfast and made it for lunch. I ordered a hamburger and coleslaw and my husband ordered a Cuban sandwich with fries. My burger was incredible. The bun was so fresh and the meat had a great flavor. Oh, and the coleslaw was super tasty. I ate a few of my hubby's fries and they were very good. Not greasy! The portion size was enough for 2 people. His Cuban sandwich was made with thin ham instead of thick. He said it was good but not what he was expecting. (He would not order it again) Now, let's talk about the snickerdoodle cookie I bought. O M Goodness it was the B E S T snickerdoodle I have every had! My hubby agreed!! I wish we would have bought more, but it was good that I didn't. I would have ate all of them! There desserts change every week and they serve breakfast only on the weekends. Also they were having karaoke later that evening. This place looks so fun. It was super clean and inviting. This might be one of my new favorite places. I have to tell you the area where Whitehall is located is absolutely beautiful. One of the sweet girls working there said the bluebonnets cover the fields around there. Also, the Whitehall community center is just up the road and has all kinds of events. There is a car show coming up. This is a MUST stop!!!"

You come here!I wanted pretty badly to like Howdy Hot Chicken, and in some ways I do like it, and I think it's one of the better hot chicken places I've been to outside Tennessee, but their hot is a little too hot in an uncomfortable way but not a tasty way. That's weird for me to say, I have everything far more spicy than 99% of people can handle, trust me (it's Barbi's influence mainly).Also the sauces are a little too sweet for me. And don't get me started on the prices, although the large portions of chicken are pretty nice. But making the sandwiches sugary is something that the massive expansion of hot chicken places by hipsters has done, and I don't appreciate it.I want this stuff, but I need to have this stuff in Tennessee, and so do you, to see what it's supposed to taste like. Hattie Be's for example. It was never sweet and it shouldn't be sweet. I don't know why everyone has to corrupt and pollute the recipe of traditional stuff around the country with massive doses of high fructose corn syrup.Other than that it's very tasty sandwich, good quality chicken, piping hot, and large and filling, although service at this location was not very nice to me at all, and the prices are pretty high.A four star chain with some one star employees constantly messing up very expensive sandwiches, hence the 3 stars. The Shepherd location is much more reliable."

I asked for the spaghetti with mushrooms meal for $11.95. First to come out was a bread basket filled with two large rolls that were nice and puffy fresh. It was followed by a side salad with my ranch dressing and I enjoyed it. Very shortly after it's arrival my entree arrived. I don't like it when the meal isn't properly spaced and I have to look at my entree while trying to hurry and finish my salad. The spaghetti, marinara sauce and mushrooms was large enough in size and tasted good but the sauce was too watery and it created a pool on the plate that was unattractive. My table service during the meal was very good.While the overall meal was decent I can't give a score higher than a 3 due to the watery sauce and inadequate pacing of the meal delivery."

"We loved the food and service at the Hubcap. This is a small chain. There's a new location opening up soon in Santa Fe TX. I think this one's been open a couple years. We showed up right at 11 am and we were the first customers. My wife and grandbaby and I shared the chicken tender basket. Came with crispy fried chicken tenders and fresh cut fries, country gravy and toast.....there was nothing left but a few fries. I had to try the Nola Muffaletta Burger with a beef patty topped with their homemade olice dressing/salad, swiss cheese and a mayo sauce of their own creation. No part of this burger survived it's encounter wit' me. The fries were done to perfection and the fried okra was just as good. We did haves some fries and okra left over, they were too good to leave behind so we snarfed them up for dinner. You order at the counter and they bring it to you in a short length of time. We'll be back."

Most of the seating is stools and there a few chairs with a back support. There is outdoor seating too. I ordered a small Americano with a splash of half and half. The coffee is smooth. The brown sugar was hard to pour. I told an employee. She took the sugar dispenser to the back and brought it back. It didn't work. I had to put white sugar which is in envelopes. The French toast is beautifully presented with powdered sugar, fruit and a side of syrup. I ordered with no whip cream. The toast could have been more moist. But this place has great reviews and I'd like to go back and try other items."

I'm completely obsessed with the dirty mac fries - not only is it an absolute steal, but it's a crazy large portion and every single component is delicious. I end up eating this over 3-4 days and to put in perspective how great this place is, I've had this menu item 3 times now and they only just opened a few weeks ago. I docked a star because their bird wrap is pretty terrible. The lettuce is soggy, and I'm not sure why they use ranch instead of their comeback sauce. Truly seemed like a miss to have this as a "healthy" option because it doesn't blend in with the rest of their menu."

The kitchen is a lot larger than you would expect from a banh mi shop, and I didn't see anything specific on the menu that would require that many people so they must do a lot of volume during the day.Their prices are more expensive than the typical Bellaire or Midtown shop, but their sandwiches are larger and they fill them well. They have two kinds of tofu sandwiches, one that is lemon pepper while the other is garlic butter. You can also get both, and you should get both to get the best tofu banh mi in Houston."

Turkish coffee was aromatic, flavorful and yummy."
