"I was very excited to try Fresh Kitchen Comfort Food this past week. My experience exceeded my expectations! This is a wonderful, family owned restaurant that serves up fresh, delicious ingredients. They cut up fresh veggies daily, make their sauces in house, and prepare portions of protein throughout the day to maintain freshness. Please go and visit this wonderful business. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. 10/10 My order: Poke Bowl: white rice, ponzu sauce, spicy salmon, Machaca , Edamame, mushrooms, green onions, avocado. Finished with chipotle mayo and topped with Panko and sesame seeds.Jarrito Drink: orange, grapefruit, and lime juices mixed with grapefruit soda and served in an awesome Mexican Clay Mug. The variety of fresh ingredients is outstanding and this was the best Poke Bowl I have ever had. The chipotle Mayo is a must and paired really well with everything. The Machaca is a must try and I am so glad I added it to pair with the salmon. The drink was as delicious as the presentation looks and I love that it is served in a clay mug. I definitely recommend giving it a try. Can't wait to try their other items."
"Pork katsu has like an Chinese style boiled egg and some beans rather than the omelette type egg advertised. Also it had sauce on it unlike the picture on their website when you order online. It was still good. Just different than what o thought I was ordering. Homeless guy came in asking everyone for money. Including the staff. I didn't feel safe there with my kid. So we won't be back. This was on at lunch on a Sunday too."
Choose a base, 3 scoops of protein, sauces and toppings. Extra scoop of protein for an additional charge.

Portions a large and since we ordered take out they packed it in this cute little bag. We recommended the place to my sister since she's local. Btw, they serve delicious bobas. Definitely a must try."
"Why 4 stars? Because this is a solid option when a poke bowl is what you're craving. --- --- ---I've had Poke Man bookmarked for a long time and finally stopped in. I initially bookmarked it because I saw that they had sushi burritos, but when I actually visited, I was craving a bowl more than a burrito.I custom built my bowl with all the fixins and was content with it. Was it the most amazing poke bowl I've ever had? No, but it hit the spot with what I was looking for.I also added Gyoza to my order and thought those were very good, as was the mango boba tea, which seemed to be made from real mango, rather than just artificial flavoring. Also, I'll add that the person working here could not have been more friendly and welcoming! The biggest gripe for us was that the plastic spork was really not great for poke consumption. It was just a bit too flimsy to really get much substance when diving in to a jam packed bowl of goodness. This would easily be solved with an upgrade to the plastic cutlery, so not a big problem to overcome.Next time: sushi burritos will be had."
"I have drove by Domoishi many times when I shop at Royal Oaks H-E-B. I only noticed it recent month. One day, I walked in and saw the friendly menu items smiling at me. I couldn't resist to try something. This restaurant is actually the second one in Houston, UH has it before here. The small footprint reminds me of campus-style food vendor. Talking about all-in-one fast-food joint, they serve Hawaiian poké, Japanese Ramen & rice bowls, Taiwanese boba teas and other finger food, including my favorite Korean style wings.I couldn't find any other places that serves all my favorites at one location. I feel home away from home, Domoishi has become a must-have during my grocery shopping trip.I had a quick chat with the manager. I heard the company is expanding and we're going to see more Domoishi in Houston area in coming years. This chain originated in Richmond Virginia in 2019 by restauranteur Sam Huang, who also founded Sushi King. I like the concept and uniform interior style. You can order at the cashier, self-serve counter, or from an app. My food is normally takeout. I rarely sit in there because I would want to order more food. My favorite is the Poké Bowl. There are so many different ways to make the bowl. They are equally delicious. The shrimps are bigger than other poké restaurants that I've been. They tasted natural and no additive. Rices are cooked perfectly for me. The prices are reasonable for this economy. Food quality and customer service exceeded my normal experience from Houston Chinatown."
"Awesome local spot. Lighting and music makes you feel really relaxed to enjoy a good meal and have a conversation. Service was fast and very attentive. Cold brews on draft! Now to the most important part.....the food was amazing. Very flavorful and filling. Dumplings were steamed and super delicious. Parking can be ridiculous because of the nearby hookah and bar next door but it's worth the trip."
"I've eaten poke in the big island, Oahu, and SoCal. The make your own poke bowls here at bowl'd up was created by brothers jay/jeff and is really tasty. The fish is very fresh. My favorite is both the tuna and salmon with the spicy shoyu sauce, add masago, seaweed salad, dried shallots, macadamia nuts, cucumbers, furikake, and avocado. The katsu is also very good, the batter is crispy and the chicken has good flavor, try it with both katsu sauce and spicy mayo. Also try the acai bowl as it is refreshing and healthy. A unique truck here in Houston that represents the islands well. Don't forget to tip the cashiers as they were very nice and friendly!"
"I know this might sound kinda hokey,But friends in L.A. are quite Cokey,Including several ex's,Meanwhile I'm in Texas,Because my drugs are Boba and Poke. This clean, fresh, bright and friendly Poke shop is part of Katy Asian Town, and we always enjoy coming here for a tasty, healthy snack. I had quite a lot of bad Poke and some mediocre stuff, but this one was pretty good. It wasn't one of the best 3 or 4 that I've had in the Houston area, but it was definitely satisfying, and even though it's a little bit expensive for Katy, it's pretty affordable compared to the ones down in Midtown. The decor is really nice here, and it's located right in the middle of the fancy shiny new Katy Asian Town which has so many Asian businesses for you to come and try. And this should definitely be one of them, to go with all the great Boba over here such as Yan Tea, Fuji Tea, and Tea Top, as well as Happy Lemon.Wasn't sure between 4 or 5 stars, but it's locally owned, not a chain, and that seals the five-star deal.In conclusion. This is a very nice poke place with very delicious stuff. We had a nice poke Bowl here for about mid price. "Poke in the Bowl is a great option for a fresh and fast weekday lunch. Ordering pickup was simple, and I was surprised by the diversity of options. With plenty of vegetarian selections, I settled on a white rice bowl with tofu and various assorted toppings. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially when paired with ample lashings of spicy mayo and ponzu."
"Not to be confused with Cherrypop, which is what happens once in a lifetime, if you're lucky, as Talking Heads might say.Not my favorite sushi place by any stretch of the imagination. Didn't quite do it for me and had slightly higher than average prices as well.Located right along I-10, and with a lot of competition for pretty decent sushi in Houston, this is somewhere between 3 and 4, but until I find something here that I really love, I will be keeping it at 3."
"This used to be my go-to poke place when I lived closer. Their food is still fresh and delicious, but prices have gone up just like everywhere else. Large 3 scoop $13.50, regular 2 scoops $11.50, kids 1 scoop $9.50. Masago and avocado are each $1 extra, avocado used to be free for sure, but at least the crab is free. They have a lot of drink options now including Boba, lemonade, tea."

I've been meaning to try this place for quite some time. It is tucked between a clinic and the 9 Round boxing fitness center, where Very Fresh Clamatos and Snacks used to be. There's even a bit of overlap in the menu and overall vibe, so if you liked that place you'll like this too.I got a 3-protein 'Ohana Poke bowl with Guajilla shrimp, regular shrimp and salmon, and all the veggies and toppings on a white rice base. They'll put it on brown rice, cauliflower rice, quinoa or salad for you too. It was an impressive pile of food. I accompanied it with elote (a cup of corn) and jarrito non-alcoholic cocktail (Fresh Kitchen is BYOB).The experience was all-around enjoyable. The owners were there that day and are wonderful folks, incredibly enthusiastic about their product. All of their sauces are homemade, and they are impressive. I had a combination of Ponzu sauce, Bam-Bam sauce (hard to describe, but think of a spicy mayo with great depth of flavor) and creamy sesame sauce, and it went very well with that load of toppings. It would have been good for three meals, but I ate it all because it was so good. The elote was also quite delicious, I had a combination of white and sweet corn. It's a fairly sharp flavor, lots of lime juice, and very satisfying.Their specialty drinks are a lot of fun and well worth ordering. I had the jarrito, orange, grapefruit & lime juice mixed with grapefruit soda in a Mexican clay mug with a chamoy and tajin rim. Their chamoy is also homemade. It was a wonderful complement to the meal, and you get to keep the clay cup! I would say that trying one of their specialty drinks is a must.On the menu, under Micheladas, you will see that one of the ingredients is "petroleum". This is not a misprint, and it is not made by one of our fine local energy companies. Though it does in fact look like motor oil! It is a family recipe for a sauce that tastes like a combination of Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. The owner brought a sample and I tried some in the elote, and it complements it well, but go light--just a few drops will give it great depth.Family businesses require some patience. The shop wasn't open when I arrived at noon on a Saturday, though the owners were there within a couple of minutes and ready in 10. The bathroom was clean and ready. The place is tiny, but there's a table inside and two more outside to eat there if you want. Overall it is absolutely charming and something you really should try.

Super delicious and fresh. Everything is decently priced too around $10-14 for poke and sushi. Service was fast. You just order at the counter and they bring it to you. Food was so flavorful and there were alot of ingredients in the poke bowls. But the sushi was just alright. Definitely will be coming back for poke again.

New restaurant servers are not educated on their menu. Pushing all you can eat but were vegan and wanted to order off their listed menu. For a meat/seafood eater this would be a great deal!! All drinks have dairy only and did not have a boba iced tea without cream option. My vegetable yakisoba had a great variety of vegetables. The restaurant is very clean bright. I will try the other vegan options next time!

This is a new ramen, KFC, bubble tea and poke place, so of course I had to try it! I went with the chicken wings, mix of regular and spicy soy garlic wings and they did not disappoint! Will be going back to try their poke and boba tea.

Located on a strip mall opposite Costco, parking isn't difficult, and there are 2 spaces specific for Yokushi Robata customers. The restaurant has beautiful but simple decor. Staff were friendly and courteous. I was greeted upon stepping into the restaurant.I ordered okonomiyaki, and Ikageso karaage as appetizers, salmon sashimi, beef with wasabi and yuzu sauce skewer, pork katsu curry, and chicken katsu ramen. Both appetizers were delicious. The pork top of the okonomiyaki was crispy and seasoned right. The cabbage gave the crunch. The mayo brought the dish together. The Ikageso Karaage was fried perfectly, not oily at all, and the spicy mayo sauce was yummy! Salmon sashimi was fresh and the slices weren't too thin. The beef with wasabi and yuzu sauce skewer was surprisingly good. The wasabi added the "heat" while the yuzu sauce balanced the flavors of the beef and the wasabi. Highly recommend this dish! The pork katsu curry, and chicken katsu ramen were good. The pork and chicken were nicely fried. They were crispy and light. The curry had the standard Japanese curry taste. The ramen broth was light but could be more flavorful. I would come here right when the doors are open because the restaurant fills up pretty fast. This is a good restaurant for a simple meal.

I had the tiger cry (spelled differently) while Bowl'D was at the truck yard, and it was delicious! It was a little fatty, but the sauce and the pickled cucumbers were incredible!

Honestly it's poke - always SO good - but this was above and beyond. Super fresh fish, great sauce options, and tons of fun toppings. The bonus free miso soup (in restaurant only) was a fun add also. Prices on par with other poke. I'll definitely be back!
Visit Restaurant Page"We don't frequent Pearland that often, but when we did, we were on the hunt for a great poke place! This place has huge portions and fresh fish! I had the regular bowl with white rice, salmon, tuna, sesame seeds, green onion, edamame, mango, ginger, masago, and nori with a teriyaki sauce. The mango was so refreshing and sweet! I've never seen a place offer both pineapple and mangos and as a fruit lover I really appreciate it haha! My bf had the large bowl with brown rice, salmon, spicy salmon, and tuna. He also added green onion, sesame seeds, cilantro, mixed crab meat, seaweed salad, edamame, masago, sweet corn, and ginger with a shoyu sauce.Overall, we'd definitely be back when we are in the area again!"
"This poke place is a decent option in a shopping center filled with many other asian businesses. They weren't here when I lived on West Rd previously, but thankfully the intersection has developed and there are more dining options now. They offer salads, bowls and burritos for poke entrees. They also offer Hawaiian bbq bowls. Since their name has poke in it, I stuck to the poke. I ordered a large bowl.I was a little bit disappointed in the raw fish selection. They basically have tuna and salmon. No exotic fish, or scallops. Their diced veggies are sometimes diced a little too large, like the cucumber on my recent visit. The good part is they have several sauces to choose from. They toss your poke with the sauce half way through the ordering line, then will place the last remaining toppings on your creation. Prices are about average for a bowl or burrito.Flavor was definitely there in the sauces I chose, Sriracha mayo and Hawa house special sauce, but I just wish they had more raw fish options like other places in the city."
"4.5 starsMy favorite poke bowl place in Houston!Every time I've come I always order the poke-your-way with three proteins. You can get as many toppings as you want and proteins include tofu, chicken, salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, as well as spicy tuna and spicy salmon. My got-tos are two scoops of salmon and one scoop of tuna. The ingredients are very fresh and portions generous. By the time you get to the end of the line your bowl is brimming with so many toppings that it looks like a little mountain.I enjoy the pokeworks classic dressing as well as the ponzu shoyu. If you're not sure which one to get, you can ask for a sample and the friendly staff will happily let you try. Seriously, every time I've come I've always been impressed with the service and attitude of the staff here. My husband asked for a water cup with a lid for our toddler, and the worker went to the back and looked up and down for awhile (we could see him) before returning with a brand new package of cups and lids that he opened in front of us. They also serve you with a smile, so you don't feel bad for getting every single topping, lol. I have to say this is quite rare for a fast food joint. Definitely contributes to a good dining experience! My only complaint (hence 4.5 stars) is that the rice in the spam musubi is mushy, and that just really bothers me. However, my son Loves their musubi so we still get it every time. If you're a fan of poke bowls, definitely come give pokeoworks a try!"
"Quite an extensive menu. Tried the brown sugar milk tea. Pricey for a medium but it was good! Service was fast and friendly."
"It's hard to find poke spots where the fish isn't old and crusty or you're not having to pay an arm and a leg for good toppings... Anyways, this place had no disappointments. -There are 3 bowl sizes to choose from and the big bowl was very filling (and affordable).-all toppings except the avocado is included/free-make your own bowl or choose from the recommended options-just add everything to your bowl! The bowl tasted fresh and most importantly, made me very full."
"bowl was gone in 5 minutes & whoever was on aux had the place bumpin crunchy tuna and salmon bowl also smacks"
"We love coming here for because of the quality and huge assortment of toppings. I usually get the 2 topping poke bowl with spicy salmon and the shrimp tempura. I really like their light batter on the shrimp tempura. To be honest, I have yet to finish my bowl and often wonder how anyone could even finish the 3 topping bowl!"
"Okay, let's get into it!I love this place!! They are so friendly and kind here. I enjoy them so much and love to visit. I also ordered their food from Uber Eats regularly and made it to their top 5% of customers on the app, DON'T JUDGE ME, lol!!I normally go straight for the Spicy Mayo as my sauce of choice, but they recommend and let me sample the Poke Yana sauce, and I'm hooked. I also mix it with the spicy mayo and OMG; it's bussin!!!When I'm in the mood for something light and yummy, I come here. I like the shrimp tempura wraps, but I've also had the bowls. They also make great recommendations on things to try. This is just a place that will always be on my take-out rotation, PERIOD!!!"
"I have no idea how I came across this place but I was glad I did. This was an interesting creation but I was down for it. I was so satisfied! Definitely a huge portion too. I recommend you checking it out for yourself!"
"Came here with my cousin for lunch on a Wednesday. I had been to another Airi Ramen, so I wanted to check this one out! Just like the Airi Ramen location, this one had great staff and food! We started with some edamame while waiting for our ramen, and it was the perfect start to our meal, nice and hot with just the right hint of salt. Our ramen came out quickly and was delicous. The wonton ramen had a lot of wontons, and they had a nice and juicy chicken filling. This location is a bit bigger than the other one I have been to. It had beautiful lantern decorations"
"This is my 2nd time here and the food is delicious! I love their poke bowls and the chicken karaage is so good. Great service! Good selection of beer!"
"My goodness. HOW tasty. So yummy!I was lazy and wanted seafood but didn't want to leave the house. So... door dash it was. I ordered the Super Poke: Fresh tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, crab salad, lettuce, beets, carrots, cabbage, cucumber; avocado, edamame, seaweed salad, eel sauce, spicy mayo, pickled ginger. And the Spicy Tuna Nachos: Spicy tuna, avocado, wonton nacho, eel sauce, spicy mayo, green onions. Both were incredibly flavorful. Suuuuuuper filling. Just delicious. The fish was EXTREMELY fresh and the ingredients all were placed well and mixed excellently together. I could only eat the nachos first for an early lunch... and then I ate the Poke bowl at night for dinner. The ONLY con is that the nachos were so weak I couldn't really kick up a good scoop of everything and ended up eating with a fork."
"Located inside the new Lyric Market food hall in downtown, the sushi roll we tried from Horu was great! We ordered the Horu sushi roll because we figured that, if they named the roll after the restaurant, it must be good--we weren't disappointed. I particularly liked what I think was some kind of candied citrus on top of the roll. I hope to try more from Horu on our next visit!"
"Build your own pole bowl is a great deal. One protein (small) is ten bucks, two proteins is twelve. There is also a 3 protein option. There are many options to choose from for the build-your-own. I like the brown rice, baby octopus, scallops, Kani salad, masago, and seaweed salad. You can also choose from a few different predefined combinations. My buddy Vik didn't care for the flavor of the octopus too much, but he did get his with greens. For me, the sauce and rice seem to blend well with the proteins.Preorder on the company's website and they offer 10% off."
"I initially thought that this place might be a bit hyped up and gimmicky (due to the poke donuts and pizza and such). However, after trying a few of their items, I am very impressed! Great taste, quality, and execution. Even the more gimmicky items were really well done, in terms of flavor, quality, and construction. I'll get into more detail below. Personally, I'm not crazy about the presence of a secret menu. Just not a fan of that approach. I'm much more open to it if we're talking about a couple items, for a well-known restaurant chain or something. This way, word gets around. This place has 2 TX locations (the other is in Sugar Land). The secret menu seems to have about 15 items, which is quite a bit. They do have the secret menu listed on their website but it's a bit confusing because we were told (by the employee taking the order) that some of the items aren't available at this location. So even if you are aware of the secret menu, you have to ask if each desired item is available (annoying process). If I came here not knowing about the secret menu at all, I'd honestly be upset later. You also can't order from the secret menu, if you're ordering online (I tried). I know it's meant to be exclusive but I feel like that can backfire and make customers actually feel excluded. DONUT: I tried the Everything donut and it was really good. Fresh fish and I like that they sliced the rice donut in the middle and added sauce. It broke up the rice block nicely and gave some "filling" to the donut. Well done.PIZZA (SECRET MENU ITEM): They have "pepperoni" (seems more photogenic) but we got the "seafood" pizza. The seafood slice was delicious. It was a little hard to eat but not bad, if you support the bottom. Great quality fish, with really good sauce. I love that they made the crust a sushi roll -- so much more interesting and delicious than just rice.BURRITO: As much as I enjoyed the donut and pizza slice... my favorite item was one of their staples. I had the Kungfurrito and it was just awesome. Great texture and flavor. Well-constructed. Loved it. Another small complaint is the lack of dessert options. The online secret menu had some delicious-sounding items (like ube ice cream sammies and matcha beignets) but turns out they weren't available at this location. They only had the fried kyoto sweet goma balls, which I wasn't a huge fan of. Overall -- this place serves fun and delicious poke creations. I really enjoyed my meal. They could offer more desserts and I'd personally ditch the secret menu and just make it their awesome not-so-secret menu. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this spot to all poke lovers."
"Very reasonably priced poké here, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite spot. However, I have always had great service, which is a huge plus! The shop is clean and well-kept. Great place to come if you're in a pinch! I had a large 5 scoop protein: half and half base with yellowtail, scallop and tuna. Poke mates: tofu, edamame, cucumber and green onion. Sauce: house ponzu, sides: seaweed salad and oshinko. I will say that they are VERY generous with their poke mates and toppings, too!"
"Very good poke spot in the heights! I work nearby and will definitely come back. Quality of the food was good along with portion size. Its great how they have a several preset combinations and then you can also do a customizable bowl."
"Small eating place that offers poke bowls in three different sizes, and drinks like slush, milk teas, and juices. There are board games available for customers, which is a nice touch for eating-chatting-chilling. My Ohana bowl was filled with fresh ingredients. The sauces brought the whole dish together. Delicious."
