La Reyna Tortilleria - Irvington

I wasn't able to upload a video but I think I will stick with just the rotisserie chicken because I decided to get half a dozen of chicken and half a dozen of pork tamales but neither one of them were up to par. The chicken tamale that I opened up was very thick with Maza and one literally one slice of chicken the pork was stuffed with meat and very very salty.

Fast and efficient, great tortillas made right in front of you and the workers are always great, looks small but the quality and service is good

The chicken and the salsas are good, however do not eat the carnitas and the barbacoa. The barbacoa seems like dry, overcooked meat reheated in a broth and is the worst barbacoa I've had in my life. Carnitas shouldn't be wet and should have a nice char on the outside. Please go around the corner to Gerardos if you want real Mexican carnitas and barbacoa.

Exceptional customer service from everyone at the Irvington location, and Tony who manages the Kempwood location went above and beyond to help me redirect my order to the correct location when I was unable to order online for my nearest La Reyna. All this on a Friday at 6pm when they were their busiest. Excellent food and customer service. Thank you.

The staff is always so friendly, even when I forget a word or two in Spanish. The green salsa and the corn tortillas are my favorite! This place is always consistent.

Best rotisserie chicken ever! Plus these Mexican style corn tortillas are the bomb!! Love it! You must try the green salsa as well.

So far we've enjoyed everything we've ordered here. We ordered the Pollo Rostizado combo. The rotisserie chicken was juicy and full of flavor, the beans and rice were seasoned perfectly. I will say the star of the whole meal were the tortillas. They are so tasty, soft, and you can definitely tell they're homemade (just like ama). Just an FYI. They tend to get busy around dinner time and have limited parking.

Stopped by for the first time and grabbed 4 dozen pork tamales. All of the employees were very friendly and they had my food ready super fast. They packaged the tamales in sealed bags that kept them hot and moist and they were very tasty. There was plenty of meat in every tamale and they are so large that after eating three of them I was full. At most other places I can easily eat six because they are way smaller. I will definitely be going back and will be recommending them to family and friends.

Unfortunately this merchant wont let you pay with a card unless you buy more than $10. I assume they dont want to pay the percentage of their sale to the bank and by making the customer buy 5 things they dont need just to get the 1 thing they really need is their way of a "win-win" situation. I was under the assumption it was illegal in Texas.
