"Pro: Great chicken to be had! In a search for some fried "yard bird" in the outskirts of Houston, I was absolutely delighted to find this place! BB.Q offers an amazing Korean twist on an American staple. The Golden Original Chicken was fried nicely without being too greasy. Not to be outdone was the Bulgogi Fries. This order of marinated meat sitting over some good ol' sticks of potatoes is sure to stick to one's ribs! And for the chicken wing enthusiasts who prefer their bird on the saucy and spicy side, the Spicy Galbi Wings were just that: saucy and spicy! Not only did I enjoy every bite, I returned to the place the same day to savor the flavor! Yes, I liked it that much!Con: Ordering online versus over the phone for takeout actually costs a slight bit more due to service charges. Meh...small price to pay. Bottom Line: Twice on one day...yes! I did that...and might do it again!"

Visit Restaurant Page"We stumbled upon this specialty restaurant on a Friday evening and were extremely satisfied with what we got! Wanting to try something new, this was definitely a first check mark on our long list of things to try.The interior is nice and clean and the waitstaff is extremely patient and knowledgeable. The menu isn't very expansive, it is definitely a speciality restaurant with mostly jokbal (pig feet), bossom (pork belly) and blood sausage. We went 04/2024 and they had a promotion for $20off $50 if you download their app and sign up for their rewards program. For two adults and one kid, we ended up ordering M5, M6 and M9.First comes first, the banchan! You get 3 different dishes, Kim chi, a salty/sweet pickled radish and pickled cabbage with jalepenos. All were good. The M5, beef neck bone soup with cabbage and bean sprouts had a subtle and delicious flavor. It wasn't too heavy and was a nice additional to our meat heavy dishes.M6 is the jokbal. In lieu of order a giant portion for the two of us, we shared the individual order and it was more than enough (along with our other dishes). It came with lettuce, slices of raw garlic and Jalepeno and a soybean dipping sauce. Wrapping up a little bit of everything is the way to go. Delicious, fatty pork combined with the saltiness and spiciness of the banchan made for a great first experience.M9 is the Galbi. Tender, super flavorful and served on a huge bed of sliced cooked-ish onions, this was a hit for us. All our dishes came with rice, which complimented the Galbi perfectly. The meat wasn't chewy, it was tender and cooked well. After taxes, our bill came out to $65 but we were able to apply the $20 coupon, make this meal (which served as two more meals for us afterwards!) was definitely worth it."
"Solid Korean wing spot in West Houston.Located a bit north of the other Korean spots near Long Point. Parking is plentiful in their shopping plaza. We came by and ordered for dine in, which was a mistake; the chicken took about 40 min to come out. Would recommend calling ahead or doing takeout going forward. We got curly fries and a whole chicken. Portion size is very fair and the chicken is sauced very well and overall very solid KFC. It definitely rivals Krisp for me for the best chicken joint in the area."

I love every bite, and it's hearty and thick and greasy and perfect. The Yuk Gae Jang is also great, it's so good that you'll never say Yuk, not even if you're a Gae. Jang.Service here is wonderful, especially some of the girls that work here are some of the nicest employees around Houston, and prices are excellent as well, in fact it's easily the cheapest version of Korean soups in Houston, while also being the very very best. Their sides are also some of the best around, with some good kimchi and great Seafood pancakes and bean sprouts, and the greasy potato side is one of Barbi's faves anywhere. The Yuk Gae Jang is excellent and tastes a lot more healthy than the tofu. When you ask for extra spicy they make it nice and spicy without up charging, and all in all, it ends up being one of my favourite places to eat in all of Houston. So if you need a shopping center, don't you WORRYGet down to this Market and do it in a HURRYThe sales won't last forever, so come on, SCURRYCome and investigate like Mulder and SCULLYEven if your favourite kitten's being extra PURRYAnd even if its made your favourite outfit look FURRYAnd even if you're in the middle of a Thai Green CURRYEven if you spill your sauce cup of CHIMICHURRIEven if your vision is Puddle O Muddy (BLURRY)Even if you have to drive a Semi here (a LORRY)Even if Short Round wants Fortune & GLORYEven if the sale price is only half the STORYEven if New Labour just lost to a TORYEven if the movie that you're watching is GORYEven if up next is an encore of Finding DORYEven if you're cuddling with a stripper named LORIEven if Justin Bieber knows it's too late to say SORRYEven if you speed here, and cause a FUROREEven if you have to wear a diaper (no LAVATORY)Even if this all means something else (an ALLEGORY)Even if this all sounds Pakistani (like, LAHORE-Y)Even if you end up moving to this mall (you're MIGRATORY)Even if you pee inside the store (mark TERRITORY)Even if you buy 1 thing from each store (OBLIGATORY)Even if your teacher got convicted (STATUTORY)Even if a slur is aimed at you (DEROGATORY)Even if Kennedy did not get shot from the DEPOSITORYAnd even if there's no heaven or hell or PURGATORYAnd even if Oasis never did have MORNING GLORYAnd even if I engineered this rap in a LABORATORYIt's time for you to depart your depressing DORMITORYAnd go and get some soup from YORI YORIWHAT!"
"Spicy seafood soup - (5/5) Amazing broth. The owner says it take her 3 days to cook it. It was extremely flavorful. Tteokbokki - (5/5) the owner told me she uses the spicy seafood soup broth to make the tteokbokki sauce. Makes sense considering this is the best tteobbokki I've had in Houston. The spice level was plenty for the average person. Jjajangmyeon - I haven't had this dish much so I wasn't sure what to rank it. It's good, but I really enjoyed the other two dishes a lot so this didn't shine as bright. Service was fast and the owner is nice. Portion sizes are good. I enjoyed talking to her before the lunch rush. Will def make the trip back for these dishes and others."
"Definitely a must try. Will certainly order again. Ordered via phone for pickup. Customer service via phone was friendly and helpful. Pickup was quick, and food was ready in the timeframe quoted on the phone. The food was delicious. Flavors did not disappoint. Personally I would have like a bit more meat in the Bibimbap, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it was an enjoyable meal. Inside there are a few seated area, and it was clean. Located in a shopping complex, so parking is convenient. Looking forward to trying other options on the menu."
"Came in here with 30 minutes left before they closed and they still let us site with the caveat that the kitchen would close in about 5-10 minutes. We got our order in quickly and the staff was very nice even though we were there for another 15 minutes after closing to finish up. In terms of ambiance the restaurant was clean and bright but without much decor. What it did have was what we were craving - tofu soup! What we enjoyed:Mushroom tofu soupSeafood tofu with beefSeafood tofu Galbi (as part of a combo)fried chicken (so crisp and tasty but also came with fries which we weren't expecting)Banchan was good and the dishes also came with rich in the metal pots so you get that nice super crisp crunchy rice at the bottom and edgesMedium spicy was good and not too spicy, but you can vary the spice level of the soup to your preference."
"After walking in Terry Hershey park on a Sunday evening in late April, something in my taste buds hankered for some KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). I don't know how it came about, guess it was due to being near Spring Branch which contains a multitude of KFC options. With so many to chose from, my randomly decided on this one due to the reviews. After placing an order online, I rolled here to scoop up my order. Upon walking in, everything was ready for me (thumbs up to the staff for that). I pondered as to why the interior of the dining area was on the darker side; maybe people like eating their chicken in shadowy areas? After snapping out of my own thoughts, I got back home and unwrapped everything to dig in.I went with half original and half creamy onion based on the YELP photos. Also went with an order of fried dumplings as a warm up. Probably could've done without the dumplings and just ordered more chicken or a different starter since they didnt' taste that special to me. Now the chicken on the other hand was crispy, greasy, juicy, salty, all the profiles you want in fried chicken. The Korean kind does these at the highest level which is why people are obsessed with it. Chicken also has mini fried rice cakes mixed in which compliment the chicken well. The creamy onion came on the side so I kept pouring/dipping the chicken into it since it's like an addiction. Sweet creams are made of these!I plan on trying other flavors next time such as honey butter and spicy soy and other apps such as their fries, corn cheese, and coleslaw. So far, a good impression."
"Remembered, my first experience here not being very good (about two years ago), due to their being an overzealous waiter who talked our ears off about everthing from sneakers to hats and that the Korena Fried Chicken was overcooked. I always feel like some places deserve a second chance, so since I work close to this location I decided to give it a redo.Took a trip during a late lunch break, after the noon rush, and found the place pretty empty. Interestingly enough, it still took someone over f ive minutes to even acknowledge that I was even there, even though there was a lady behind the bar - just steps from me. Someone finally came and took my order of the chicken strips, fries, and a drink. While waiting, I noticed that some of the tables weren't clean. I'm sure that the lunch rush was just ending, but no one was really attending to the tables during my time there. My food came out, after a little wait, and the presentation was OK, but the fry order looked a bit light and I had to ask for ketchup, even thought there was a little place for it on the fench fry holder. I was then given half a container of ketchup (see images). The taste of the spicy sauce was nice, but after a single bite of each chicken strip the batter fell right off of the strip. I don't recall ever seeing that before. I don't know what to do after this visit. I guess we'll see."

They had been on my list to try for a while now. I placed my order online. You get 9 wings fried crispy for $14. I ordered the honey garlic and they were delicious. They were fried just right for me. Not too crispy. I didn't order any sides this time but may try out a few in the next order. They will be my go to place when I want a change from my regular options.

Have only been here once so far, but plan on many return trips. We ordered the sundae combo, the neck bone jjigea, and the intestine jjigea. All were outstanding. The sundae was some of the best I've had in Houston, tender, flavorful, sooooo much better than the ones you get at H-Mart (go figure? ). The intestine and organ meats thst came with it as a combo were clean and tasty. The neck bone jjigea was overflowing and packed with meat bones for your gnawing pleasure. Soup had depth and left that wonderful stickiness on your lips. The intestine jjigea was equally good and a great hangover meal as it's traditionally meant to be. So many other menu choices, so will have to have a few more visits to make our way around. Definitely worth a visit!

The restaurant is pretty easy to miss because of the flimsy banner displaying the restaurant name, so keep your eyes peeled for the pictures of chicken and Korean writing plastered on the windows lol there's not a ton of parking and the restaurant isn't that big, so I think most people do takeout. That's what we did and the food held up for the drive home, retaining its excellent crunch!GARLIC SOY WINGS: I don't understand why they don't tell you how many wings come in a serving, but I got 6. It doesn't sound like a lot, but the drums were basically short drumsticks lol they were HUGE!! Anyways, these were super moist and flavorful! They may be the best wings I've ever had. Seriously. I vividly remember biting into them and thinking this was the best wing I've ever bitten into lol I love the crunchy breading. It stays crunchy even while smothered in sauce and has some spice even though it's not mentioned in the description.CURRY CHICKEN TENDERS: There was a mix of small and large pieces, but if you averaged them into equal standard tenders, it came out to about 6 tenders. It had a good curry flavor with some kick to it. It wasn't too strong, but light and flavorful. ORIGINAL CALAMARI: The original is bland without the sauce, and the sauce is not for everybody lol I honestly don't even know how to describe the flavor, but I liked it. Unfortunately, my bf did not. This might not be worth $10 though, it didn't seem like a lot was in the box. CURLY FRIES: These were decent, standard curly fries, but definitely didn't get $5 worth, the box felt more empty than full. Not really worth it for price. I had to give this place 5 stars for blessing me with the best wings I've ever had in my life. Although the sides seem to be lackluster, it's okay, skip the side and get another order of wings lol

HOUSTON, TX 77055 / KOREAN-CHINESE / FRI 11-17-23 / DINNER+The sweet and sour tangsuyuk was well-prepared.+Our gentleman waiter hustled and provided us great service.-They use the same prepackaged noodles for their black bean (Jjajangmyeon) noodles, spicy seafood (jjampong) noodle soup, and knife-cut (kalgooksoo) noodle soup.-The prices are pretty steep.-The interior looked like a train wreck. There was food dishes in the middle of a long table, random ingredients stored out in the open, kitchen gadgets all over the place, and random things just laying around.-The spicy stir-fried pork was pretty salty and not sure this entree is worth the price tag.-The restaurant definitely needs to be remodeled/updated.What we ordered:'1 Spicy Stir-fried Pork with Rice $17.99'1 Sweet and Sour Tangsuyuk $21.99'1 Jjajangmyeon $12.90Total: $67.00 post tax plus tip
Visit Restaurant Page"I wanted to try Mexican and Asian fusion. I ordered chicken tacos online. The prices were reasonable, paid $8.This meant " It is higher than TacoBell". I might buy 8 tacos for $8 at TacoBell. Anyway, I was okay. When I arrived Oh, my Gogi, the food was ready. I took the tacos to my home. It was super good. I said" Oh my Gogi instead of Oh my God.It was not healthy at all. I felt like eating sodium and fat. One of my new year's resolutions was " Eat Healthily".It was broken. LOL.I really enjoyed the tacos as my guilty pleasure. Hope to see you if my new year's resolution change to " Eat more tacos"!"
"When I saw the words "Korean" "chicken" and "boba" my eyes lit up!! It's rare we get a local Asian restaurant to pop up in the suburbs of Northwest Houston!! My hubs and I decided to make it a dinner date Friday night and check out this new place nestled between a CBD smoke shop and a Mexican frutería place...and a Subway...parking is small and limited...The inside ambiance could use a little pizazz!!! It was definitely lacking decor and really embodied the "hole in the wall" atmosphere! Even though we didn't announce it was our first time, it would've been nice to know what's special or what they are known for since there was a fusion of Vietnamese and Korean food on their menu... Staff was friendly but not really present or seemed excited about their new place... We ordered:-Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Almond Pudding -Mango Passionfruit boba with Lychee Jelly -wish I could've adjusted the ice and sugar levels like other boba places...not sure if it's a thing here or not -6 pc wings (mild) with fries The fries were basic. Salted but no seasoning and nothing special The wings were either mild or spicy (no other flavor options) just sesame chicken/soy sauce style -Medium popcorn chicken Same with the popcorn chicken...flavor wise it was the same as the wings but spicy...lacked crispy-ness and was overly salty...They have a self-service utensils, napkins, and sauce bar but didn't really explain what it was for...All in all, I wished that they would've told us their story and what menu items to try...we do want to go back and try the egg rolls and banh mi...I'd recommend their wings but Not their popcorn chicken....Boba was ok!..."
"Came here right when they opened for the weekday lunch AYCE KBBQ. It was one of the better AYCE KBBQ experiences I have had; the staff did a nice job of changing the grill plate out regularly and bringing out the requested dishes. Quality of meat cuts and portions were all good in my eyes, in some instances I was surprised by how much they gave, even though it is AYCE - you tend to see places do smaller portions and have you continuously ask for more, but not the case here. You have 90-min for lunch AYCE, and that was plenty. We were stuffed when we left and for a good amount of time afterwards! Parking: on-site in large shopping center parking lot."
"Came on a Weds night because I know this place has been hot and trending. To avoid the rush and wait, come on a weekday. I came for their march 1 year anniversary special. It was a great deal and I had to take advantage of it. Upon entering the establishment I was seated right away. The whole staff is attentive and engaging throughout the whole experience. I'd have to say, their customer service is top notch and I felt like I was treated like a family member there. Shout-out to Marc and Mama An, they know how to deliver exceptional service and gave me such a great experience. The food is high quality and lots of it is made inhouse, from the kimchi to the soju. Do not skip out on the soju! Its so delicious, but a little dangerous...it's pretty strong. I never had soju that was made in-house before so that was awesome. All the meats were delicious and the king crab was oh so good. Definitely recommend. I also like the fact their ventilation system it allows me to go home not smelling like bbq! Overall this Korean bbq is the best in town. I am critical when it comes to food and service that translates to customer experience. All of that goes hand in hands and Mapojeong gave me their 100%."
"I've gotten into Korean food lately and one main dish that I wanted to try authentically was Jjajangmyeon, which is a black bean noodle dish. The black bean sauce consists of pork, vegetables, tons of onions and the black bean sauce itself. The noodles were chewy and delicious. Paik's Noodle was the perfect place to try that. They have a couple of other dishes that I wanted try called Jjamppong, which is a spicy soup. Jajang Bap is also another great dish."
"This has become our new favorite go to spot for some Asian food. We really like their Spicy Teriyaki chicken, it's packed with flavored the chicken is cooked to perfection sweet and spicy. The beef udon was a little underwhelming. It was packed it with more udon noodles with a thin top layer for beef, which was disappointing. Beef was flavorful however, I just wish there was MORE of it. The special fried rice is your combination rice of beef and chicken mixed nothing different from your usual fried rice that you get from there. I would say overall Spicy Teriyaki is our fav!"
"Emptier than I would expect on a Friday night, which was good because no wait, but disappointing because this place should be packed. Delicious food on a huge menu at a decent price. The takoyaki was so hot that when I bit into it, the molten interior cooked the roof of my mouth enough the peel the skin AND I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS THAT DELICIOUS.This food was so fresh and delicious that I immediately planned ehat I would get upon returning. That menu is do enormous, you will have a hard time deciding what to get. Every dish killed. The spicy gobchan gui gui was incredible. I expected my teen daughter to be suspicious but one bit and she told me it was amazing.Houston, please show up. I loved Soju101."
"I'm shook.Best. Kbbq. Ever.Maybe it ties with another place in Dallas but these vibes here were even more immaculate. This is not only the best spot in Houston I've had so far hands down, but it's AYCE which stands for all you can eat. Which I greatly appreciate!I used to think my favorite cut of meet if galbi ribs but I realized I love beef belly the most since it's so thin and you can eat a lot without feeling too full.Their meat is such amazing quality and yes expensive but I'd rather pay more and eat better food then pay less and not love my experience because anywhere else is still not cheap.I recommend 10/10 can't wait to go back.We were lucky and got a table after 20 min wait for an early dinner but I heard it's swamped at night."
"A fave spot for Korean food in the area. I love coming here either for their lunch/dinner menu or kbbq. Plenty of parking spaces in a small plaza off of Long Point. Service is quick and friendly. We always get seated right away. Some of my favorite items are the soft tofu stew with seafood, bossam, and the LA Galbi. I always get the tofu stew every time I'm here. It's my comfort food and pair with the LA galbi makes a great combo. The large bossam could feed 4-6 people. We can never finish it especially when you're also eating all the sides and other dishes. I have also tried kbbq here with a group. We were seated in a private room. You can order off of their combo menu. I mostly prefer just ordering off of their normal menu versus doing the kbbq."
"Excellent tasty place with good service, good food, and good prices. They serve all the Korean regulars without the crazy cost. The soup was delicious and not pretentious. The beef and veg dishes flavorful and not overly spiced. They were fast with the to go boxes and grateful we came."
"Pretty decent spot for your late night 'drunk' food, they close at 2am!! A rarity outside midtown or Washington Ave.The inside is cute with decorated chains dividing each table. Plenty of Kpop on TVs all over the restaurant. It might be hard to fit more than 6 people. They have a buzzer at the table to call up a waiter, recommended to use this otherwise they may not pass by too often. The banchan is super solid! One of my favs in Houston, no joke. The Army Hot Pot is a good amount of food for 3-4 people. The nuggets are good and goes with the cheese fondue, my only wish is the fondue wasn't the same price as the nuggets :OI give One Shot Pocha 4 Wonyoung's, out of 5."
"The first thing we noticed here was that the water tasted like japchae. If you drink it before your food comes out, you can definitely tell it has some sort of flavor/greasiness to it. But! Once you start eating your food, it blends in and you can't tell anymore. We ordered the seafood pancake which was super good! It was nice and thick and chewy, but I do think the outside could have been a little crispier. We also got the spicy pork bulgogi. They give a good amount of meat and this was also delicious, but my personal preference would have had a little bit of a sweeter sauce. Overall, everything was still delicious. But since they're called a noodle restaurant, maybe we should have tried some noodles."
"This restaurant has really come a long way in Houston! Starting as a local family owned business, I'm glad it spread to different parts of town because I absolutely love myself some Korean fried chicken! Now I've definitely tried different Korean fried chicken restaurants in Houston and this place really hits the spot! The meat is not dry, perfectly juicy, and crispy. Sometimes you go to a restaurant and the batter is too thick or the chicken is dry or the sauce just ain't right... but this place makes it just right. Don't know what to get? Try their soy garlic and honey chicken with some fries! The 8 piece combo usually fills me up well. I will eat this any day over KFC, Popeyes, or wingstop (no offense)!"
"Korean is to Houston what Wonderland is to ALICEAnd please invite me over to drink from your CHALICEYou find my words offensive but I don't mean MALICEEven though I agree, I'm cocky and CALLOUSBut anyway let's discuss LUCKY PALACEIf you know a better place, please do TELL USAnd yeah I'm one of those arrogant FELLASIt could be worse though, I could be from DALLASWHATSo if it's so good that you wear it around your neck, it's "Lucky Necklace." And if they open a location in the French Capital, it's "Lucky Paris." And if I do an "American Pie" but replace the Pie with a this Korean food because it's just so tasty and sexy, then I'll end up with a soup-covered "Lucky Penis."Very delicious Korean restaurant with really friendly service and lots of sexy music videos playing while you're eating. This place feels homestyle and friendly and personable and not corporate. And it feels old, like it's been here forever, but in a good way of course. If you think Houston's Chinatown is a wonderland, then that makes this the Palace In Wonderland. We definitely love coming to Lucky Palace, and one of the great things about it is that there are only a couple of Korean restaurants that have this feel and this sort of taste and excellence located in Chinatown, so without having to go up to Spring Branch, this is one of the better ones you can get. We highly recommend it.If you keep repeating "I want Korean food" every time I say it, then it's Lucky Parrot. And if you get committed because you go crazy over this food, then it's Lucky Padded (cell). In terms of things that they could improve, I would say that they should make the spicy soup actually taste spicy, for me, that would help a lot.And if there is a fire here while you're here, it's Lucky Panic. And if you order a Soupuos instead of just Soup, then it's Lucky Palindrome. And if you bring Mel Gibson and Tina Turner here to help you navigate, then it's Mad Maps: Beyond Palindrome.Coldplay said it best."In my Palace, in my Palace,Were Korean soups that I couldn't taste,I was lost, oh, yeah.I was lost, I was lost,Crossed state lines I shouldn't have crossed,Well not without a handgun, oh, yeah.Yeah, how long must you wait for your food?Yeah, how much must you pay for your food?Yeah, how good is this Korean food tho rly amirite?""
"What did the government minister in Seoul say? "I never wanted to be known as a Korea politician."What to order: Yuk Gae Jang (beef soup). If you, like me, refer to your underwear as your "Garden", then you know that there are many restaurants out there that will leave you with a "Soiled Garden." This is not one of them.On Long Point, you'll find this absolutely delicious Korean food from this little restaurant on the north side of the street. The service isn't always great, but it's not bad, and we definitely like the soup here. We do want them to crank up the spice several levels next time we come though. But we love Korean food, and this is one of the better places to get it in Houston. Now if you've been to Busch Gardens or Madison Square Garden or the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ, then you know that there are many gardens, and some of them are not altogether pleasant. But there is only one garden that serves utterly spectacular Korean food. Indeed, this is the "Sole Garden" where you will find food this delicious. And when Barbi poses here without shoes, it really is "Sole Garden."Regardless, you must give SG a try. It is a really lovely restaurant with really nice decor. We love coming here, particularly as they have good Korean soups for a very affordable price. They can be a friendly bunch, and the soups in particular, as I said, are definitely worth coming in and trying."Solo Garden" might sound like the title of a home-made video of what you might do when it's nice outside, and you have high fences around your yard, and you really need some erotic release as well as some fresh air at the same time. However in this case, it has nothing to do with that, and I've specifically graphically asked the owners, and they assure me it has nothing to do with that. There's lots of great Korean food along Long Point Road, and I wish they could make it a little more spicy, the way we like it. Because that's the way, aha, aha, we like it, aha, aha. Thanks for reading my review. I shall now start my new life with dogs and cats (already got the cats) and a family and a white picket fence. I can already imagine looking for a kindergarten for my kids. Actually I think there is only one around here that I would trust to look after my kids. It is the "Sole (Kinder) garten" that I trust. Ba. Dum. Tsh."
"AYCE KBBQ, was recommended this spot by one of my friends. The look of this place was very modern and clean. They set up the sides as a buffet style which was smart cuz rather than continuing to ask our waiter for more sides we can get it ourselves. Also they had premade entrees like chicken & fried shrimp. But you're here for the meat so why fill up on that stuff??They have a wide range of meat selection such as brisket to Bulgogi to pork belly. They all came out in a reasonable amount of time. If you need to grab the waiters attention, there's a light switch at your booth which would signal one of them to come to you. One thing tho is that they don't have rice paper but we was able to manage. Overall this place is great and would highly recommend this place."
"I enjoyed a filling, tasty pork katsu bento box here on a Friday evening. For around $16, the bento box came with crispy pork katsu, curry, rice, potato salad, shrimp tempura, fried veggies, and California rolls. There was a generous amount of crunchy, breaded pork katsu, which was deliciously paired with curry and rice. The California rolls were a hit also, with plenty of imitation crab meat. The restaurant itself is located in a strip mall in Sugarland with plenty of parking, and the restaurant itself looks newly renovated. Service was prompt despite a busy evening. Overall, I would recommend this place looking for a tasty meal in the area."
"Third time lucky, I took the edgier lines out of this review because someone really doesn't want this 5 star business to get this glowing 5 star review. Is it time to post this yet? Well damn where did my CLOCK GO?I can't even find my underwear, could wear a SOCK THOYou know, just like Flea and Anthony Kaedis, he's my Red HOT BROAnd then I can take them out for Korean at DOKDOBarbi is so hot like soup, she always makes the ROCK GROWMakes me so happy down below, makes my C*** GLOWAnd Kirk knew lots of aliens biblically, but who did SPOCK KNOW?Anyway, for homestyle Korean, you must go to DOKDO!WHAT!I absolutely love this little inconsistent Korean place, always delicious and rarely two servings the same. They're a lovely little affordable place with wonderful homestyle food. We get their spicy beef soup, and sometimes it's really really spicy, and sometimes it's nowhere near as spicy, and I don't mean anything negative by saying that.It depends on which trip, but it was always worth it. When it was way, way more spicy it was more worth it. Sometimes we love every bite and sometimes we don't love it as much. Some of the most unique and delicious and original homestyle home cooking of Korean food. Including all the soups that we love. Very inconsistent with the spice level, this little tiny restaurant represents the very best of what home-cooked Korean food can be.Nothing like your prototypical Korean restaurants, and every bit a wonderful little experience, which is very different every time.It has formally entered the rankings as one of the top five Korean places to eat food in all of Houston for us. It's very cheap as well and we highly recommend it to anybody.Yori Yori inside 99 Ranch nearby is my fave for soup, and Tofu Village is Chinatown's best, but here in Spring Branch, and if you want really home-cooking style, you won't get much better than Dokdo. And overall it's one of the best places we've been to for Korean, and one of the most family style Korean restaurants we've ever visited, so we can give it 5 stars, and deservedly so.We will so, so be back. Now we'll finish with Otis Redding.Sittin' in the mornin' sunI'll be sittin' when the evenin' comesWatching the soups roll inThen I put them all away again, yeahI'm sittin' on the Dokdo with BaeWatchin' the soups roll away, oohI'm just sittin' at the Dokdo with BaeWastin' timeI left my home in MontroseHeaded up the Spring Branch way'Cause I've had nothin' to live forIt look like nothin's gonna come my waySo I'm just gon' sittin' on the Dokdo with BaeWatchin' the soups steam all dayI'm sittin' at the Dokdo with BaeEating mine"
"I drove 45 minutes, walked 19 minutes then drove another 12 minutes and paid $20 for parking just to get a burger. It was worth it. Their customer service is AMAZING. I had trouble finding the food truck, and they provided directions and talked me through everything. How incredible! Forever a Foreign Policy fan."
