I've always loved Great American Cookies though I've typically only visited them if I'd go to the mall. This was my first time at this location and I don't know why it took me so long to visit seeing as I live within 5 minutes of this place! I went in for a quick slice of cookie cake. The employee working had a mask on and gloves and was very friendly. They have social distancing notices posted outside that indicate how many people can be inside at once. They also let you pick which slice of cookie cake you want since they all have different designs and amounts of icing. I just loved this one and had to have it after having a not so great week. Definitely put a smile on my face! Strangely I've never had their actual cookies but they always look delicious. The parking is ample, however it can be tricky getting in and out as they're located in an area where a lot of people are cutting through the strip center so there's a lot of traffic to watch for. I will definitely be back!!

How am I the first to review? This place is a dream. Or a nightmare while I'm counting calories. Cookies are always soft, fresh and delicious. The brownie is moist, fudgy and delectable. I'm sure the ice cream is great too, but I haven't tried it. Worth every single fat roll.

I needed a last minute cookie cake ASAP for my coworkers birthday. I went into HEB and they said they needed 24 hour's notice in order for me get a cookie cake, so I called Great American Cookies off of Taylor. I picked out the color scheme for the letters and then asked if they could add clouds (like Andy's wallpaper on Toy Story) to make it look like Toy Story, and the guy said they would do their best to make it as Toy Story themed as they could. Less than 2 hour's later I get a call that the cookie cake was ready and boyyyyy, I was NOT expecting this! They went above and beyond for my request and my co worker LOVED IT! Thank you so much to the whole team who put this together! I really appreciate you all.

Not to be confused with Grape American Cookies, which are basically grape flavoured cookies made in America. There's no accounting for taste. In fact there's no accounting at all because all the accountants I know are currently on vacation.This is a lovely little Cookie Shop, which of course is a major national chain usually found in a lot of malls, but this is a nice little stand-alone location that is super friendly and has super good warm gooey cookie products for cheap prices - so no wonder its beloved by the people of Houston Heights.
