"Dined in on a Tuesday at 12:30 pm for a party of 4. You order at the counter first and seat yourself. Their baguettes are so fresh and delicious! We ordered:Sandwich au steak: THE BEST SANDWICH! The creamy mushroom sauce is to die for! It came with potato salad which was just ok Traditional Jambon au Beurre: great flavors, the butter is so creamy, we got fries with this and they were crispy goodness! Next time I'll ask for mustard, lettuce and tomatoes to be addedTomato Basil soup: more on the chunky side, no cream, not the bestFrench onion soup: a tad too sweetPistachio cake: good strong pistachio flavor, the cake was so moistStrawberry shortcake: DELICIOUS! The strawberries in the middle were frozen"
"My friend and I came in for the first time, with open expectations. I came in first and was welcomed and greeted immediately as they literally opened the door for me. I was taken to my table quickly. I would recommend a resy, the place is busy. The decor is certainly asethetically pleasing. Someone with an eye for design did this place. And while looks are important, it's never as important as the food, at a restaurant, for me.Service - Tyler was our server, and he made a good first impression. He shook our hands and ensured he learned and used our names and used our names throughout the meal. I appreciate that he took his time and checked on us frequently. There was a lot of staff present in the room. There were drink runners and bussers etc. A lot of wait staff/managers were just observing in the dining room. Drinks - we had what we were told a sommelier in training. But she didn't seem to have much knowledge. My dining partner and I ordered a bottle of champagne. Food - we decided to try their tasting menu, called Dsiscovery. I did this so I could try more options and get a real sense of the direction from the chef. The only caveat with this choice is that the entire group must do it. If you have a party of 6, then all 6 must order. But we had a party of 2, so it was easy.Course 1- Hudson Valley Foie Gras Terrain. I think the brioche bread and the pate were a slight mismatch. The sweetness of the other items didn't help.Course 2- Open-faced East Coast Lobster Ravioli. This was my least favorite dish. The lobster was not poached well. The emulsion was fine. But the ravioli was not good, soggy, not even al dente. I could not identify the artichoke ettouffee. Maybe it was reduced in the emulsion? This dish needs a total re vamp. Course 3- Roasted Domestic Squab. This was my favorite of the entire meal. Well composed dish, tasty mushrooms, and panchetta underneath. Course 4 - Carmel & Chocolate marbling comb dessert. This had a cool design, but the chocolate did not leave that richness of dessert. I would have rather had my friends cheese plate instead. One thing I noted is that we never got a bread course? I'm not sure if it was not offered because we had the pre fixed menu, but I would have liked being offered this? As I saw other guests next to us getting a bread course prior too there meal. I think this is an IG focused place. It looks great for pictures, etc, but if you're looking for food, it may not be it. But give it a try. You may love it."

Nice touch of garnish with seeds on the chilaquiles. It adds a great texture component to the dish. Having chicken on it made it even better. I haven't seen any place with meat on chilaquiles. Loved it! The patio is peaceful with a nice water feature. Perfect for brunch outside on a beautiful day. Creative brunch cocktails. The coffee one was great."
"Artisan's move to the Galleria area has been a long time coming, it has been a no expenses spared endeavor for this long lasting French restaurant. The owners decided to cordon off the property with a private gate so that the parking is strictly for customers. Because of this strategic move, if you are traveling westbound on Westheimer, you now have a dedicated turn signal at Bering to turn directly into the valet driveway. Yes, they have mandatory valet that they are charging $10/vehicle for. While I was not prepared for this additional forced charge, the upside is that the valet takes (and also prefers) to take payments via pay apps.Upon entering the walkway ramp, you'll find yourself inside the restaurant with beautifully appointed details from the ceiling down to the floors. Straight ahead is the host stand, beyond the host stand is the chef's table dining room, to the right is the main dining room, and to the right is the bar. While the new space is only about 1,000 sqft larger than the old location, it feels much more expansive with nearly twice as much dining space, in addition to a beautifully appointed bar and a generous outdoor covered patio. The food is French rustic. Nothing avant-garde or wildly unfamiliar when the plates are placed in front of you, but it is simply amazing. The food here reminds me of sitting in a classic upscale French bistro in Paris that puts emphasis on classic recipes with beautiful plating. The goal of this kitchen is to create delicious foods every night that are recognizable, not to come up with the latest and greatest gastronomic take on how to change the molecular structure of the food.I've been a fan of Artisan's, and a regular customer, since 2014 when I first discovered them through the annual HRW (Houston Restaurant Weeks) event. The menu has stayed almost exactly the same, but there are several new additions to the dinner menu. What is completely new is that Artisan's is now offering brunch on Saturday's and Sunday's as well as an all new Bar Bites Menu that runs every day they are open from 3-6pm. There are discounts on some starters, and then there are all new additions like the foie gras grilled cheese, which had never previously been on the menu, but I always ordered when planning a private event at their previous location. While they are no longer centrally located for the rest of Houston, their move just west of the Galleria area is far more substantially closer to me. Selfishly, I'm glad they moved for my own convenience of not having to get on the highways anymore to dine with them. There are a lot of French restaurants in Houston, but none compare to the extensive wine menu, authentic rustic French fare, and the one and only Chef Jacques Fox. If you have not had the pleasure to meet this Frenchman turned Texan, I implore you to venture in to say "Howdy," or "Bon soir," to this man for continually providing an excellent dining experience."
"On the second floor, this beautiful restaurant is dark and sexy. They offer indoor and terrace seating. Hookah and cigar fun happens on the terrace, too.The drinks are beautifully presented. I enjoyed the Lust while my friend had a Smoky Old Fashioned. The lamb lollipops.... listen, 5/5. The hummus..5/5. I loved the dragonfruit added to the beet salad. For entrees, we had sea bass and salmon. The rice under the salmon wasn't quite hitting but the fish were 5/5.Ali delivered superb service to our table."
"Studewood and 10th valet available but street parking nearby - lovely and large outdoor patio to enjoy the fresh air.Pluses1. Kind and welcoming service2. Baked Brie yummy and warm inside the creuset pot 3. G and T and passion fruit capirinha great4. Rabbit and veggies very juicy and tender 5. Best double chocolate soufflé so fluffy and light the pastry chef came out to say hello and fill the crema inAreas to improve 1. Music is sporadic and random, unclear of the type of clientele who would enjoy it 2. Love to see and hear live band on the patio like a jazz trio someday Highly recommended for fine dining!"
"A no frills banh mi shop that was our FAVORITE vietnamese restaurant in Houston, and better than the banh mis in SoCal (Although this was the only place that beat Cali in our books)--dac biet banh mi: perfectly crusty bread, it had the right amount of pate and surprisingly the shredded chicken (which I had never yet ordered in a banh mi) was also good! The hubby enjoyed it so much he got another one to eat at the airport on our last day in HoustonNOTE: They also do croissant banh mi but we didn't try it"
"Love this cozy place! They have great food and great service! Despite authenticity, the food tastes delicious! We had Pate, Duck confit, and steak. The service was great too! We will definitely come back again!"
"I have been wanting to come here for years based on the great yelp reviews. There are always some bad reviews for every restaurant but those I chalk up to: psychos, people that are having a bad day, or just don't now any better. They are usually from people that are not doing reviews with any consistency so I ignore those. Fellow Yelpers did not disappoint on the crab cakes. I make crab cakes 1-2 a year for special occasions and I use a recipe that is a Robert Irvine/Tyler Florence amalgam. I don't like to use "best ever" as I could have another crab cake somewhere that is very different but also very good. This was a 10 out of 10. I am not even sure what the chef does for a binder because it's pretty much all crab meat. Also I am going to have to figure out how they are really seared and super crispy on top/bottom but it's not deep fried or again covered in breading. I would have like a little more of the sauce on the plate but we used all that was provided. That was my wife's starter I had the tomato and burrata salad which was super fresh and tasty. It went great with the crab cake also. The bread service is about the only thing that didn't seem inline with the rest of the dinner, we were very hungry when we got there but why fill up on bread? I had also read people rave about the steaks there which is odd to me. I eat a lot of steaks at great steak houses (Pappas, Mastros, Capital Grill, Flemings, Vic and Anthony's......) I would not go to Lucio's to have steak. If you thinking the same way you need to re-think your mindset when going there. The selection of steak is very narrow because it's not a steak house but if you are in the mood for a steak go there. My wife order the filet which comes with some layered potatoes. It was VERY VERY good. Expertly cooked and seasoned. I am not sure what we could have asked more from that plate. I had the short rib which was excellent. The risotto with the short rib perfect pair and don't eat one bit of that short rib without some risotto on the fork my friend. It wouldn't be justice to your taste buds. We also did desserts chocolate brownie and the "bubbles" special. The bubbles is they have it on special is definitely something to have with multiple people and dig in with spoons. Please is of course clean and very welcoming very much a sole proprietorship run by someone that cares about the product and that is present with all the staff. Service was great and not pretencious.Lastly, the place is know to BYOB (its in the name) There is no hard liquor there which probably makes it more laid back. We took some amazing bottles of wine with us that would have been $300+ so I have kids that need to go to college and am not a politician so can't be dropping $300-600 on wine for a dinner for two. They have a corking fee which I did not mind and we had white with starters and red with dinner and took both unfinished bottles back home. They do have a succinct wine list that is very reasonable for restaurant of this caliber so no need to bring wine if you don't want to.Lucio's is great for date night but I also saw groups of friends there having a great dinner. Definitely want to bring some friends there with a couple bottles of great wine."
"Eau Tour is located next to Local Foods with the front door facing Kelvin Drive. Street parking with 2 hour limit or the parking lot with Local Foods. The parking spots can fill up quickly and are a little tight. Eau Tour's decor is a complete vibe. From Houston engraved bricks in the stairwell, mushroom, fish, and snail knick knacks, down to a set of bread night lights. The restaurant was packed and lively on a Friday night. I'd suggest a reservation off Resy. They have a small cocktail list and decent wine list. Our group of 3 ordered the Sourdough with whipped ricotta, Mushroom stroganoff, Steak frites, Broccolini, and Carrots. The whipped ricotta is super light and airy. We enjoyed both charred veggies dishes. The Mushroom stroganoff was the most interesting of the night. There was a crisp potato rosti with the familiarity in flavor of a traditional stroganoff sauce. Slight salty sauce that didn't bother us enough but the one dish we couldn't stop going back to. Service was attentive throughout the night. Constant water refills out of fish pitchers. The staff were fun to strike up random conversations with. Eau Tour is great for a casual dinner with friends or date night. Cute touch with the pink toilet paper in the restrooms."
"The perfect place for a weekend brunch or romantic dinner. The ambience and service were excellent. It's connected to the Galleria mall. There's parking in the garage or valet in front of the restaurant. The French food was delish. We had a great time throughout the night. They also have outdoor seats which would be perfect with good weather. I love the vibes here. It's very mellow but also very romantic. Would highly recommend if you're in the area."

I had stopped here for a easy lunch and I really enjoyed. It's a pretty much self service. You will place order in the counter and they will deliver the food to you. I have to really appreciate them specially made a lunch dish for me while they only serve breakfast on a Sunday morning. It's a simple place but really cozy. It reminds me a small bistro in France i had been.

What a lively fun place with excellent ambiance and presentation of dishes. Fun experience and the food was more around B+. Still very good and accessible to more people versus even more upscale exclusive places. Fish was excellent, tried halibut and the snapper. Great polenta. Wild mushroom soup was very good. Bone in ribeye with the French name was also very good and marbled. Loved the presentation, steam, decor, design. Fun place to share dishes with a small group.

My friends and I had a lovely dinner here during Houston Restaurant Week! First off, La Colombe d'Or Hotel is such a beautiful boutique hotel and their restaurant is worth the hype. We sat in their beautiful sun room during this visit. I had the chargrilled octopus, heritage chicken, and the raspberry clafoutis. The octopus was a large portion and was perfectly cooked. The chicken was very juicy, and again a larger-than-expected portion. Lastly, the raspberry clafoutis wasn't overly sweet and went perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. We also ordered their seafood tower to share, and it was a real treat! The seafood was so fresh and beautifully presented. Our server was very attentive, and valet parking is available. Would love to visit again!

Artisans holds a special place near and dear to my heart. So glad they're in this location, because it's much roomier and updated. The entire property is fenced in with valet ($10). The menu is the same as the old location, and I'm not complaining in the least bit! This is one of my go-to dinner spots and their (6-course) tasting menu is perfect imo! The bread service is amazing--the bread is fresh, crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside, with the creamiest butter. The foie gras, scallops, Chilean sea bass, filet, chocolate mousse... it's all so wonderful! Staff is friendly as always and the good old feel of Artisans is here to stay!

So...I was excited to try this place.I went with a group of goodies so we were ready!Upon entry the host was a pure delight! He said I looked incredible and told me he wanted to take a photo shoot of me. You think I said no? Lol! So he charismatically went to my table and told them to hold on because he was going to take pictures of me lol. He proceeds to actually take professional looking pictures from my phone outside. He was all about angles and creating the moment. I was so so blown away. The pictures were so good I used them as my social media profile pictures! Then I learned that he actually is a photographer as well. Figures! He's excellent at his craft.Unfortunately, unlike the host...the food is not great. It's the standard food that you can find anywhere. I am happy that the owner came to our table and introduced himself and even.. after some convincing... allowed us to have an appetizer on the house! It was the spring rolls. They were pretty basic spring rolls, to be honest. So, for me.. the food won't bring me here again but a different outfit and a different unit... call me entertained! I will certainly be back for the views alone!

Maison Pucha Bistro on a Saturday for Happy Hour. If you like oysters then this is the place for you. During HH the gulf oysters are $1.00 each and the east coast oysters are $1.25, the east coast oysters were from PEI when we ate there. We enjoyed the gulf oysters better as we thought they had more flavor and they were bigger. We had 11/2 dozen of each. We also had 1 order of beef empanadas, which is 2 empanadas during HH. Along with some lovely HH drinks. It was a Saturday around 4pm and the place was nice and quiet. The thing I found strange was that I order some crackers for the oysters and we got charged $2.00 for 10 crackers...LOL. The restaurant is nice and full of decorations. The waitstaff was nice and polite when we were there. When we were leaving around 6:30pm it was valet parking.

Bring cash! Size has gotten smaller over time with inflation! You'll see someone's uncle hanging out drinking coffee, maybe solicitation outside. All those things are normal! LOL. Expect to spend $5/ea banh mi. IF YOU WANNA EAT LATER, let them know and they separate the veggies from the meat. The time is reasonable for when the sandwiches come out from ordering. Service is fast, quick turnaround time, reasonably priced meal. They'll call your name when it's done, and don't forget to bring cash!

This was such a cute restaurant! It looks like something that would be in Europe. Very intimate very small spot With a big brick/clay oven. No music but the space fills quickly with lively chatter from all the patrons so it's not awkward. All of the food was absolutely delicious especially the salad with the blueberry vinaigrette. And I went out of my comfort zone and tried some fish that wasn't salmon. I got the trout and it was delicious! My other favorite thing is that the staff is so courteous and polite it feels like fine dining even though the spot has a more casual feel to it. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing date night or family dinner

I ordered a lemon drop martini and chocolate lava cake. The cake was cold and tasted packaged. I guess the place is primarily for drinks so it makes sense if food was not fresh.Just go and order bottles!!"
"If you get a bad wound here and don't treat it, it's Bistro Le Ceptic. And if you come here after Aug 31 but before Oct 1, it's Bistro Le Ceptember. So this is a pretty delightful French Bistro, and one which we've been to one a couple of occasions, partly since it's right by the gym, partly because it's a diamond in the rough, a nice place in the wilderness, a good date spot, and kinda romantic. So my favourite thing is the french onion soup, and a lot of the other menu items are a little bit overpriced for us, but they can still be pretty good, and I honestly have to say my favourite thing about the place is the decor, especially the adorable cows that are out front. So there's not a lot of good French food in Texas at all, so it's nice to have this place around. A very solid four stars, and in a weird way, reminds me of the Bouchons of Lyon."
"The hubs and I stopped by for a random Tuesday dinner date as I've had this spot bookmarked for quite some time. I made a reso on Open Table and away we went. Did I like it? yes, no, maybe so. (I'm torn) Did I love it like I wanted to for a repeat visit and adding it atop my favorite H-town French cuisine spots? unfortunately not. Yeahs: The ambiance is nice. French bread service (yum).Steak tartare is good. Servers were friendly and extraordinarily attentive to water refills.Pastries were beautiful and flaky.French onion soup was good, and a very solid start, but unfortunately the PS21 ride got bumpy after that. Truffles were chocolatey delicious. That flambé apple tatin dessert grew on us and the accompanying ice cream (gave an egg nog custard-ish vibe) was my favorite part. Mehs: The lobster bisque, while plentiful, is not that great and super heavy on the sherry. The duck Wellington was a bit under inside in spots, very chewy, and bland overall. More salt needed and sides were ok. The flavors didn't blow me away, and that's super rare in my French dining experience. Overall-- the starters and finishers were the stars of the show, I guess. So all's well that ends well, I guess. Not sure exactly what to think on this spot, really, and that's not like me at all. We spend a pretty penny to dine, and the hubs needed a snack later so ... that's that on that."
"Came in on a Saturday morning around 10:30am with a group of friends, and service was fast and very friendly. I ordered the O Vegano, and my husband tried the Viking Club. We both loved our crepes, as did others in the group. Some other items ordered were the Texas Smokehouse, Spanish ranchero, and classic frenchy. Definitely recommend."
"We stopped by here for dinner and we had tasted their HRW menu. It was pretty good. The ambiance is nice but someone it could get loud if there are too many customers. The service was pretty good. The food quality was great. I love the beef bourguignon. I wished they can serve the escargot with the shell. The grill octopus was in perfect shape, not taste to raw and or too hard to chew. I will come back here when I m around this area."
"Talk about a hidden gem! You walk in an are immediately transported to Belgium. I loved the spaghetti bolognese and my date enjoyed his mussels."
"We stopped in for a little mid-afternoon beignet sesh and split an order of 10 beignets for $7. We substituted Nutella for the side of honey. They were delicious, hot and fully! Will definitely be back to try other things."
"In the former Flourish bakery and cafe, there rests a new little French pastry and baked goods shop, Paulette. A delicious menu, fresh and hot coffee, the great staff are sure to make this a success. Their prices are similar to Le Madeline, but their options are so much more elegant, refined, and honest. I cannot wait to return."
"My friends and I had a lovely dinner here!We all partook in the Houston Restaurant Week menu since it was all our first visit, and it was overall delicious. I got the deviled eggs with caviar, the hangar steak with au gratin potatoes and Cafe de Paris butter, and the lemon pound cake with rosé ginger berry sauce. The deviled eggs were rich, the steak was perfectly juicy, and I adored how subtly sweet the lemon pound cake was. Our table shared a bottle of sparkling wine and it was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. Service was good although it was a busy Friday night, and they turned down the lights after sunset for a more intimate mood. Would return again for a special occasion!"
"This is such a cute French spot that changes its decorations seasonally. When I visited in March, they had a spring-themed floral ceiling and a pink truck at the entrance with two teddy bears. We ordered an array of appetizers, which I enjoyed all equally, including escargot a la bourguinonne, roasted bone marrow, and moules au vadouvan. The escargot puff pastry was delicate and buttery. The tempura escargot with the shallot jam on the bone marrow was an interesting pairing that I would not change! As far as the mussels, I kept snacking on them from appetizers through dinner- the coconut curry was herby, buttery, and delicious! For entrees, we ordered the French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, steak frites, and seared branzino. My favorite was the steak frites- the fries... I don't even know how to describe how good they were paired with the steak... but it's divine. Our waitress was polite throughout and made our experience an overall 5/5. I can't wait to return for brunch and to see the Christmas decorations!"
"I was a regular in the late 60's and in 1994. I have not lived in Houston since. I had so many good friends who would meet up there. glad it is still around. there are not too many places that made a nyer feel at home in texas"
"Houston Restaurant Weeks menuThe star is the escargot. Sat at the bar and received great service. 1. Escargot 2. Stuffed mushrooms with fried oysters 3. Petite filet, green beans, and mashed potatoes 4. Short ribs and gnocchi 5. Chocolate ganache tart6. Apple tartOrder a la cart another escargot and foie gras. Over all, good dinner and I'll come back."
"Been wanting to try Le Jardinier ever since they opened. They're sister restaurants in Miami and New York have both earned stars from the prestigious Michelin guide, and even if the guide doesn't come to Texas we were expecting a Michelin starred experience here. First things first, the restaurant is located in the museum which I thought was very cool. You can choose to valet or you can self park in the garage and they will validate your parking for you. My wife booked us a dinner reservation for my birthday, and the hostess greeted me right as we checked in. We were seated right away in the "lounge" area which is right next to the bar - perfect for two people. The decor and ambiance inside really fits it being in the museum - minimalist, modern and airy. Food and service were both fantastic. The chef was in town so they had a Spring season tasting menu which we unfortunately decided against since my expecting wife was worried it was too much food for her, so we just picked our own food:The garden salad was light and refreshing. They used a calamansi based dressing which was cool. The mushroom veloute was a complete flavor bomb - I can probably eat two more bowls of that. For mains I got the roasted lamb that was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth, and my wife got the glazed pork belly that had crunchy skin, sweet and savory meat, and overall a ridiculously tasty dish. For dessert we really enjoyed the butterfly dessert - super beautiful and just the perfect few bites to end our meal. They also got me an extra complimentary dessert for my birthday which was nice! Our overall experience here was great. The place and food was definitely upscale, but the service was easygoing that it made it way more enjoyable than it already was. We will definitely be back for another special occasion."
"What a treat! I'be had this spot bookmarked for a while now, and passed on another occasion due to the valet line being so long. This time, we made a reservation, valet was accessible, things flowed smoothly, and we made the most of our first visit. The flavors are spot on, and RB is a top tier Houston dining experience. Everything is delicious. The fried chicken was moist and the accompanying sauces were perfect. The seafood ramen was delicious also. The empanadas and the butternut squash soup hit the spot as well. All in all-- Ruffles Black was fire and I can wait to return! Note: $5 valet required. Cheers!"
"Beautiful inside. Full bar nice wine list. Service was friendly and perfect. I went for the seared foie gras and it was amazing. I had a Tempranillo to start with the olives and tapenade brought to the table. After that I asked for a bubbly suggestion and was pointed towards the cava which was delicious. I had two. I had seared scallops perfectly cooked. I can't wait to go back to this lovely place!"
"Mes compliments au chef! This place was recommended by the passport lady at the French consulate nearby and she specifically said to try the moules marinières. So i did and I wasn't disappointed! The mussels were huge and so well cooked and tender. The only surprise was the creamy sauce rather than the typical wine sauce but it was nonetheless excellent.I ended with an Ile flottante with pistachios and again the chef or his pastry chef are showing that they know their stuff. Will be back when I am in Houston."
"A friend of mine selected a restaurant for NYE '23 and chose this fancy, Vietnamese-French fusion. I typically don't go out or dine out for NYE but thought it'd be a nice change to do something fun. Reservations were made ahead of time. Location is in River Oaks. Valet parking is available, and there's an app that will inform you when your vehicle is ready. Walking in, I saw patio seating outside, but it was a chilly night, so no one was out there unless you were valeting. Check in at the hostess stand right at the door. Not much space between that and the staircase when there's a line to check in. You're not seated unless the whole party is present, which includes a part of 2. I was early, so they told me there was a seat upstairs at the bar. I ordered the Le Violete gin cocktail that was tasty and topped with egg white, which I'm a fan of. It was around $20. When my friend arrived fashionably late as usual, we were seated at a small table for two. There were small, gold and white balloons floating at the ceiling. Every time one would drift down, a waiter would casually grab it by the string and walk off with it. It was a bit comical. The island decor and dark interior/fixtures reminded me of Tommy Bahamas restaurants. So for the food, it was a prix fixe menu, unbeknownst to us since their website didn't advertise it. I look at menus ahead of time, so I was thrown off and disappointed that I wouldn't be able to try a few dishes I wanted. You choose an appetizer, entree , and dessert for $115. I had the pan fried chicken dumplings, shaking beef with salad, and the creme brulee. I ordered the garlic noodles as extra ($10) to try. The meal itself was ok and NOT worth $250 with 18% gratuity added and another small percentage of alcohol/food gratuity added. I really only liked the cocktail and creme brulee. The chicken dumplings were slightly soggy at the bottom because they put the soy sauce at the bottom of the plate instead of on the side for dipping. The shaking beef was filet but wasn't as tender as I expected. It was also a little sweeter but ok paired with the vinaigrette salad it came with. The garlic noodles were underwhelming and did not taste garlicky and was also on the sweeter side. The creme brulee melted in your mouth like butter. I think it's one of the best creme brulee's I've had. The little madeleines it came with don't really add to the dessert. Plus, traditional Parisian madeleines don't really taste like that. It was a hint of lemon and dry.It was a busy night, and the place was consistently being seated as people came and went. I personally wouldn't come back because I could have really good Vietnamese food elsewhere for less than half the cost. It was a decent experience for NYE. The least they could've done was throw in a glass of champagne since it was NYE."
"Oh Rise... No one makes soufflés like you. Your ever charming, inviting and unique decor is époustouflant and breathtaking. We've been to several of your locations and never have you disappointed us. I think I'm in love!We visited the Woodlands' Rise location for the first time today. It was the only location we had not yet visited. It's just shy of a three hour car ride for us to get there, but we knew it would be worth it. Before the pandemic, we had the chance to eat at their now closed Houston location a few times. We were happy to learn last year while visiting their Fort Worth location (a four hour drive) that they were opening a fourth location slightly closer to us. Delightful!During today's visit, the staff was super nice and they decorated the table with Happy Anniversary written in Scrabble letters before we arrived. They also placed some wedding themed napkins on the table. Nice touch! They knew to set the stage. At the end of our meal, they also gifted us a love themed embroidered hand towel. It's already hanging in our kitchen as we speak, ready to be used! Lovely. The food was good, as always. We had a cheese plate and their special strawberry soufflé, which was the biggest, most risen soufflé we've ever witnessed! The taste was sweet, light and cloud-like. This dish basically is what cotton candy dreams it'll become when it grows up. It was excellent and memorable. Thank you Rise for the wonderful afternoon. Our visit was short but perfect. Merci infiniment!"
"Toulouse was absolutely divine and a fantastic culinary experience! We didn't enjoy full entrées, but had a couple of appetizers along with some amazing wine. Highly recommend the zucchini chips, they came out piping hot and super crisp and the crabcake, which is fresh, light and delicious! We were able to enjoy outdoor seating for this evening, highly recommend going on Wednesday when it's not as busy and you can enjoy the beautiful lights. Our server Janelle (always hope I spell names right) was the kindest human and super knowledgeable with her recommendations; especially with the drink menu! I'll def be back soon."
