"My family has been eating here on and off for many years. We don't get to go more often because we don't live very close but when we do go it's a real treat. I ventured here with two friends from the area after a spa day. It was perfect. We had a pitcher of mojitos, empanadas, papa rellena, platano maduro, and croquetas. I'm pretty sure I broke my diet this day lol I ordered the Pollo Al ajillo which was delicious. My friends ordered the Camarones Enchilados and the Snapper Al ajillo. Everything was good. We did not make it to dessert but spent a large part of the evening laughing and reminiscing old times. We even took pictures on the body cut outs outside!"

"Had a date here a few months ago and decided to do this spot since I love golf and she loves drinks. I arrived before she did and found a timeslot near her time of arrival which is what I booked. While walk-ins are allowed, it's best to reserve ahead of time for this since they get packed according to the host stand.The bar and putting are on the second floor mainly. The bar area has some cool cocktails and a solid food choices; although we didn't get food, we saw the plates coming out and they looked tasty. As for drinks, I started with an ol' fashioned which was tasty. During our putting activity, I ordered a Collosus of New York cocktail; strong but what I needed after our round. There's also a balcony area outside on the second floor where you can get a view of the Heights neighborhood.So the putting courses consist of three different themes you can choose from. We went with the Library theme since it had this elegant European feel with the bookshelves and furniture exhibits. We found it quite fun with the course at each hole; especially since I won against her! Only issue I had was getting our drinks out properly. My Collosus of New York cocktail and my date's margarita took a long time to reach us. We ordered those around hole 2-3 and we didn't receive them until after we finished our 9-hole course. I couldn't find our server until after we finished and seemed like he had this 'aha' moment where he realized I ordered something.While we had fun aside from our round of drinks taking a while, I found the cost overall to outweigh the value you get. Drinks, while tasty, are a bit pricy and you're better off ordering them at the bar instead of during playing. Also $20 per person is excessive for only 9 holes in my opinion. I'm open to returning to try the food and experience the other courses although it's not something I'd go out of my way for."

"What can I say about Julio's? Well, for starters, I am not a huge fan of their food. I feel like I am the only person in the area that doesn't rave about their food. I have been a few times and have tried a few things on the menu. Out of all the things that I have tried, I think the taquitos are the best thing on the menu. My sister and her husband love this place, so I will be back... I'll just stick with the taquitos.The restaurant is nice and the service is always friendly, that is mostly why I am giving it three stars."

So we sometimes eat dinner at one of the restaurants & go there for drinks after. We really like Bar Lago!!"

I like chips that are served warm and I made a tactical error in taking a large bite of the salsa without testing it first because that was pretty spicy but once my mouth adjusted, I thought it tasted really good.Next was a full order of their guacamole, which is made to order as they asked if we wanted it chunky or not. We both really enjoyed this. I took a photo of this strange thing they call a cheese puff. It's a small tortilla shell covered in their queso sauce. It looks a bit weird, but I liked the flavor of the queso sauce and so when I jabbed a fork in the top of it, and it all collapsed onto the plate that was sort of a yummy cleanup experience.The kitchen was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to create a 3-combo enchiladas plate of White, Molé and Cheese, and the first two were our favorites.For dessert we ordered the Buñuelos and flan. Take a pass on the first, but the homemade flan was yummy and we ordered a second one. Had to as Mr. Picky scarfed the first one down when my back was turned. Great people serving here, very accommodating to a couple of Picky people. I'd come back for the guacamole and flan alone, and we want to try the shrimp Chili Relleno."

A tip to the owner/chef would be to add more methi in the methi chole as there was very less methi. Ginger & Fork however is a true gem and my first experience with actual Cantonese Fine Dining!!! We've gone twice and I actually dream about their steamed dumplings!!! Oh so good!! And their craft cocktails are one to beat!! They're open to new ideas and they do their best to incorporate Cantonese flavors to enhance the flavors of your food! They're just brilliant!And the chef is super talented...so far we haven't tried a dish that we didn't like! Everything is full of rich flavors, savory and nothing but yummy deliciousness. "The overall ambiance of this bar was super cool and spacious. However, it doesn't seem that many people come by and hang out here. It was almost empty on a friday night. It seems like a Pregame type of bar. There are some pretty cool games such as jenga and even shooting basketball. There's a really cool outdoor area with swinging benches as well. It's definitely more for if you are catching up with friends and want to chill and relax. It also seems like this bar would be pretty cool to sit back and watch a few astros games. I've had this bar on my radar and am really surprised that there wasn't a better turn out. Even though I was secretly happy it wasn't packed, I was pretty shocked. I definitely recommend this bar for a group of friends. Has an intimate setting outside. Not as lively as what you would think. I saw people order from a food truck and then eat outside at the tables. Will be back when I'm in the area next time!"

"Wow oh wow what a gem found in Houston! We were in town for spring break and our group was hungry for Italian and pizza. I fired up the ole trusty Yelp app to help me find out next meal. We were fortunate enough to find Crisp.We were a decent size party of 4 adults and 4 kids. Our waiter Alex took our order and provided us some recommendations. Everything came out good for the most part except for my wife's salad where she asked for shrimp instead of chicken. Alex promptly had a new order put in to correct the issue. Then the manager came over and chatted with us. He was a great manager and bantered with us well. And compared us toe desserts which were very tasty.Overall the atmosphere was nice and quaint for a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The service was great and the food was excellent. Order any pizza, calzone or calamari and you will super enjoy it.When we come back to Houston we will make the time to come back and visit!So good!"

"My friends and I ended up at Sunset after a day of day drinking. Ironically, it was right before sunset when we arrived which made for beautiful views. This is a rooftop bar so you have the option of stairs or an elevator. We underestimated the stairs which were no easy feat, especially after the walking we did earlier. Coming in from the stairs or elevator, you walk right into the bar. It is not big by any means, but we never felt crowded. There was a couple of tables inside to set up shop, but we came for the patio and the views. Outside is a decent sized rooftop patio that gives spectacular views of south downtown as well as Truck Yard's cool patio and ferris wheel. They had a DJ spinning some good tunes which made it an even better all around vibe. There's plenty of seating and we were able to snag a nice couch area. I imagine it might be hard to snag a seat later in the evening.Omar was our bartender for the evening and he definitely has the gift of slinging drinks. It was supposed to be a one and done drink spot for us, but he was making our drinks so good, we made a night out of it. My first drink was the classic old fashioned. It was tasty, but I wish they had the proper ice for the drink. Later on, I told him to make his best rum drink, and he made his own concoction which was absolutely divine and also everyone's favorite. I tried little sips of my friends drinks here and there and everything was good. We are already planning a return visit because this place was pretty great!"

How I ended up here is: we have taken our son to the Play Museum next door many times and recently noticed Simona's had opened. I bookmarked it, but kind of forgot about it. Fast forward to a morning a couple of months later where I got done playing basketball and was experiencing a shocking level of hunger. Like, I was going to need medical attention if I didn't consume a lot of food, very quickly. I opened up my bookmarks and Simona's was the closest spot to me at only 6 minutes away. Done!I ordered a very odd combination of things, but when you're that hungry, nothing makes sense:Protein Shake: 3-stars. This was fine, but not something I'd order again. I just really needed protein.Ribeye Sandwich: 4-stars. I didn't love that jalapenos were in this, despite them not being listed on the menu. That was a surprise, found out too late. But otherwise, this mostly hit the spot for me.Berries and Sweet Cream: 4.5 stars. Not too sweet, but perfectly satisfying. Hey, did I mention that this place reminds me of Europe?It certainly didn't hurt that I sat outside and the weather was postcard-perfect. Next time, we will definitely plan a visit here for the whole family post-Play Museum."

Not your traditional Tex Mex tamale. I also had a fajita and quesadilla, the chicken in the quesadilla and fajita was SO TOUGH. My friend also had sizzling fajitas- shrimp, steak, and chicken. She said the shrimp was nothing special, the steak was good, and the chicken again was very tough. Pros- AWESOME customer service. Amazing margaritas try the mango on , delicious housemade chips, and very good salsa. The bartender was also really cool and personable."

You know what I do remember? How empty it felt inside. However, the plates were all very large, and easily justified the prices! Every single one of us had to take a doggie bag, and promise you... I can eat a LOT! We had the burger, because almost every review said it was outstanding! It was... and it was HUGE! A half-pound burger, cooked to order, tons of toppings, and they offer you an egg on top... can you beat that? NOPE! The wife had the extra crispy fries, and she's a fry snob, and was super happy.The man himself, Guadalaharry even helped wait on our table (and was constantly checking on every table in the restaurant). He recommended the nacho's and to add chili (nice upsell)! It was HUGE AMOUNTS OF FOOD! 3 of us couldn't finish it! and it was delicious!! Located in Uptown Park, this used to be Belveder, for those familiar with old Houston nigtlife : )It was not crowded at all, but I had a resy. The bar looked really cute. That may be worth a visit. Ambiance- beautiful, well decorated furniture, beautiful flower wall. Reminds me of Bloom & Bee. They have inside dining, bu it looks like they are preparing to have outside dining as well, I noted the empty space. Service- was a little intense. The server Mauricio tried to rush us a little. I guess he didn't catch the vibe it was a leisurely birthday dinner between friends? Since they weren't busy, there should be no harm in that. He did say later he was busy with other tables. Maybe he was just new and stressed. He was not a conversationalist, nor was he friendly per see, but did his job. We had to keep asking for info about the dishes and suggestions, but he did oblige. Food- my friend ordered the lamp lollipop comes with 2, seasoned well, slightly grizzly for me. I ordered the crudo snapper. It was over salted. It seemed like the caviar would have been enough salt, but I think they salted it after it was plated as well. I guess for good measure? I would rather a raw dish be over salted than under, but that's just me. For the entree, my friend ordered the Au Jus burger, which I forgot to snag a pic of. My friend enjoyed it. I had a bite, not bad. I then ordered the bread, butter & pickles. I thought that was an interesting idea for someone that wasn't too hungry. The brioche bread was light. It went well with the goat cheese and I would have loved more pickles. I liked the dish. He then offered us a birthday dessert. It was their donuts dish, comes with ice cream, pretty yum. Drinks- I ordered 2 glasses of champagne to start the celebration. Next, we ordered two of the April Blooms, very pretty drink, check out the video and pics. It's vodka, but it's not boozy, so I tolerated it well. I asked for a substitution for gin instead of the vodka, but Mauricio said was a batched drink, no substitution."

"I was searching for a more upscale bar with better beers than the normal swill that some of the more divey places in La Porte have and found this place and it definitely has the better brews but the prices are sky high.Fantastic selection, you can see on Untappd how the selection changes but in the end, 3 beers, one of them a 10 oz came up to $22. No bueno. The atmosphere was very nice. Upscale, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, music was ever changing and looks like they have a killer set up as a small live music venue, but I don't think I can swing the prices. I just have to get used to drinking Karbach at a honky tonk down the road because I will be broke. Solid 4 stars on appearance and staff, 2.5 on prices."

While I haven't yet sampled the pizza, I'm eager to try it next. I did discover that if you're looking for a different kind of bread besides the loaf, ask for the grilled bread--it's fantastic.Parking is plentiful both in the back and front. The bathrooms were also impressive--super clean with no water spots, and stocked with toilet paper and well-maintained urinals."

"I love a good craft cocktail. And you'll see it done at a high level at Rosewater. Located in a shopping center, parking won't be an issue. I stopped by on a Saturday evening and there was a 45-minute wait for a table. While they do have a nice patio, it was freezing so not a lot of people wanted to be out in the wild despite the heaters. We made things work. What initially stood out to me about Rosewater was the creativity of the cocktails. You'll see unique combinations and liquors you've never heard of. I tried four cocktails and they all were delicious. Including one that had mead which isn't something you see every day. While they do have food, I didn't have any so I can't comment on that. Service was friendly. If you're looking for some quality cocktails in the burbs, definitely check out Rosewater."

"A whole vibe!I came here with my sister because we were in town for a wedding and had been seeing that it touted by our favorite Ig sister Charlye Lynne. Of course we had to come visit! The vibes of this place were unmatched. The ambiance was dim and sexy. We even noticed there was a hidden speakeasy on the other side. There are so many places to take aesthetically pleasing photos including the restroom, which was an absolute beauty. I particularly loved the gold fixtures. Design 10/10. For dinner, I ordered the lobster ravioli, grilled asparagus, and Sauvignon blanc. We had the vanilla butter cake but unfortunately they were out of ice cream so we didn't get the full flavor of what that dessert is supposed to taste like but I'm sure the ice cream definitely would've complimented the cake as it was rich in texture. The lobster ravioli was pretty tasty and my asparagus was grilled perfectly. Our server was amazing and attentive. He lead us through a secret path to check out the speakeasy. We only peeked in for a few seconds as it was packed but it was a hidden lounge in there and quite lively. I wish we could have stayed longer but nonetheless it was a great time and I will definitely be back."

You can enter Segreto two ways. From the right side of Lombardi or some VIPs are taken through the kitchen. The ambiance curates the sexiest vibe and will make you surrender to Segreto's enchantment. They have live music going all night long, upscale dress code to honor as they want you to dress for the experience you would like to have. They have exquisite sashimi and caviar that pairs perfect with their meticulously hand crafted cocktails. I had 7 pink dragons and two shots casa migos. Which is why you see me laying on the concrete after I left Lol.A good time was definitely had here! Going back is a must. This time I will stick to a two drink maximum. Lol"
