I will have to order them next time. One thing about the menu is that Baoz offers many different combo items, but mainly with bahn mi sandwiches and spring rolls. Dumplings are mostly all by themselves. I would love to see a bahn mi/dumpling combo."

Yasser H. "Personally, I've graduated from Americanized Chinese to legit Sichuan Chinese, but recently some specific hunger pangs drove me to pick up some good ole orange chicken and general Tso chicken. The portion sizes were pretty good and it was cooked very well, And I felt reminiscent about how good it used to taste back in the day. The chicken was thoroughly coated with the sauce and accompanied with the bed of rice. The restaurant only has a pick up option right now. There is no dine In allowed. This restaurant also has a few coupons on their menu where if you order a certain amount of food, then u get a complimentary item. Check the menu for more details. I enjoyed the food and probably will return on a future day that drives me towards my craving for Americanized Chinese"

Amy D. "3-3.5 stars, but rounding up since their Nem Nướng Cuon is really good for Texas. However, if you're expecting Brodard from Orange County, you'll be disappointed. Once I stopped comparing, I was able to enjoy their nem nướng. We stopped by to pick up some items and called in ahead of time. They weren't busy around 5pm on a Monday, and our order was ready quickly. We tried:-Nem Nướng Cuon (Grilled Pork Spring Rolls, $6, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=t2qmuppJcOX7God9i_AvPQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Pretty good, and they didn't skimp on the meat in the spring rolls. The rolls were a little unevenly rolled, but at least it was tightly rolled. All the ingredients were really fresh. The dipping sauce was a little sweeter than I would have liked, but nothing some sriracha can't fix.-Nem Nướng Cuon (Grilled Pork Spring Rolls) To Go Kit: I can't remember how much this was, but we loved how neatly packaged everything was! We made more spring rolls the next day, and it actually tasted better for some reason. If you're looking for a nem nướng fix in Texas, I would recommend checking out Bodard. They only have indoor dining available at this time, and all their staff that I saw were wearing masks. There were plenty of parking spots available in their shared lot."

They take cash or Zelle payment only as well.We ordered the scallion pancakes (4/5), boiled dumplings (pork & Vegs, shrimp pork & vegs) and one order of pan fried pork and veg dumplings. I love the casing on the dumplings, thick and fulfilling. You can't really taste the shrimp in the dumplings but you do know it's different than the pork vegs. Our order was $24 bucks total which was not bad at all considering the amount of food we got!Love this gem place in Bellaire. Definitely give it a try!"

We got the jalenpeno chicken, magnolia beef, shrimp lomein and egg roll (sorry for the misspelling ) Everything was absolutely yummy and fresh. The egg roll was literally filled with cabbage wasn't bad tho. The lomein was on the ginger side 7/10 but the shrimp size is big! Service was good- it is cold in there so bring a jacket. Lou C. "I went to D Wok Express one night and I didn't like my first impression - not a single Chinese character on the menu nor on the wall; nada, zilch, not even a Chinese painting. I thought 'uh oh'. After stripping out my usual expectations in Chinese food, this was just a-OK for me. My first visit, when I was about to order, their phone rang. That was a long phone order. The clock was ticking. Then, I asked another lady for help, the phone rang again. At this time, I was there nearly 15 minutes and still not ordered yet. After she hung up the phone, she told me that I need to wait 10-15 minutes for the food, "this is not a fast food restaurant. Everything has to be made to order." I replied, "Don't worry about it. I'll come back tomorrow". So, I kept my word and went back the next day. I had to make sure I had enough time to dine in. I immediately ordered vegetable chopsuey, wonton soup and a hot tea. The tea came in a small teapot and a coffee cup with distorted Chinese printing. The soup was served in a cereal bowl with fried wonton strips in a cafeteria-style soup bowl. The rice was in another cafeteria-style soup bowl. I was looking at the mixed matched utensils and melamine dinnerware on my table. I thought, "oh boy, this would not be the place to have your first date."The Food - * Tea was bland because the lukewarm water couldn't brew the tea bag. *Failed** Wonton was good and broth tasted just right. However, I don't know what the wonton strips were for. I almost sprinkle some sugar on top to make myself a desert.* Steamed rice was fluffy and aromatic. *Excellent** Chopsuey was the challenge part - Broccoli was so hot and it burned my tongue. Other vegetables were less hot. Celery had pineapple-flavored sweetness on it. Sugar peas were crunchy. Flavor on the sauce was pretty good, without any traces of MSG. It was nice to chat with staff about some interesting demographic info. Their clientele is mostly Spanish-speaking customers and rarely seeing Asians. She was bragging about their best selling point - the volume. I complimented on the photos of the "all day lunch specials" being a good value. For only $6.99, it comes with entree, fried rice, egg roll and a canned soda. It's discounted at $6.49, if you ordered by 4 pm."

Located in the heart of Chinatown, if you are too full afterwards it's quite convenient to take a stroll in the grocery store that's in the same plaza and run errands.I ordered the popular oil-splashed noodles, which were very tasty. My only critique would be that there was a bit too much oil for my stomach to handle, and it left a bit of a stomachache afterward when it all settled down. After all the dish is titled oil-splashed noodles, not oil-soaked noodles. All in all the flavor including the chili oil was excellent, and it was well portioned and at a very reasonable price.I'm sure there are many other dishes that are worth a try so I shall return some other time while I am in H-town!"

I always start with the fried pork dumplings. They're always good and the dipping sauce is one of my favorites. The crab puffs aren't bad either. My go-to dish is the kung pao chicken lunch plate with fried rice and hot and sour soup. I've had the wonton and egg drop soups as well, they're also good. The fried rice doesn't come with vegetables or anything in it like fried rice usually does, but it has a good flavor and it's not oily. My aunt gets the mushu pork. It's pretty tasty, plenty of veggies. Today I tried something different and got the shredded pork and garlic sauce. It was also good. Menu said it was spicy, but I didn't think so. It had good flavor and the meat was tender."

Leslie K. "the food was a-okay. not very familiar with this area for food - dont think we ordered the right combination of things. the waitress was helpful and suggested some "signature dishes". really wish i took a picture of the menu so that i could remember the names of the dishes we ordered (sorry in advance for my makeshift boo boo names).something that has bone in the name (i know - awful description) (3/5) - huge pieces of meat (bone-in). i believe it was braised. it was cute, they give you a lunch glove to eat the meat with your hands. very fatty and salty - wouldn't be for everyone.eggs with vegetables (3/5) - basically scrambled eggs with a staple vegetable of the region. yea.....i liked the dish. wouldn't be able to name the vegetable if my life depended on it.cake with smocked pork (we called it da bing) (4/5) - everyone liked the dish. the bing or pancake was really delicious and crispy. meat was meh for me, but anything is good with hoisin sauce. fried eggplant (3/5) - eggplant stuffed with meat and fried. yea...as you can see, weird mix of dishes. doesn't seem like this area has many leafy vegetable dishes. one neat thing is that if you order 49 dollars worth of food, they give you a half chicken dish for free. it's the kind of chicken that is marinated in herbs/is good for you. i chuckled because the sign on the wall says 49 yuan (the chinese currency, but i guess they mean dollars). i would definitely suggest bringing someone that is more familiar with these dishes - C's taiwanese parents weren't much help."

They have a ton of vegetarian options; I got the Kung Pao Tofu, Crispy Tofu Salad and Veggie Egg Rolls. Everything was literally 5/5 stars. It all tasted super fresh except for the cilantro which I feel was just a small bit limp. The tofu was perfectly cooked, just crispy and firm enough. The kung pao sauce had just the right amount of kick and it had hot sauce and peanuts on the side which made it even better. The portion sizes were very generous and the price was more than fair for what you receive. I will definitely return."

Joanna T. "My friends took me here for lunch when I was exploring Katy Asian Town and this was my first time coming. It was raining and kind of gloomy, so I was wanting something cozy and warm and this place was suggested. The restaurant itself is relatively small, but still comfortable. We all ordered our own "make it your own" ramen/hotpot type deal & so I ordered the tomato broth. They serve it hot right at your table and you can add in whatever you like and always order more at an extra cost. It comes with A LOT of noodles, meats, and veggies. The broth tasted like a thick tomato soup, which isn't entirely what I expected basing it off of the tomato bases from other hot pot places, but it was still really good. After putting in all the fixing's, I just waited a few seconds to ensure it was all getting cooked properly, and it was ready to eat. The meat was tender and the noodles were really nice, thick, and had a good chew. The noodles were probably the best part of the meal since it really had good texture and bite. It was very filling though. I felt that I barely made a dent in my noodles and only placed 1/3 of it into my broth - it was really filling. We also ordered some appetizers, but I forgot to take some pictures. We ordered the takoyaki, popcorn chicken, and the Schezwan spiced beef tripe. I am a sucker for takoyaki and popcorn chicken anywhere, so I was very happy with the appetizer selection. The beef tripe was interesting... not really my cup of tea, but it was good. However, I was eating the takoyaki like crazy and enjoying the popcorn chicken like no one's business.Overall, I had a really good experience here and the food was just as good. Completely came here blind, not knowing what to expect, and left feeling happy and glad I tried something new that I definitely will come back for."

Deborah N. "I love spontaneous restaurant trips! After grocery shopping at H-Mart, we noticed this "new" place that opened up...the quotations are there because they used to be located inside Fiesta Mart for almost 30 years! and then moved to this location. Their logo captured my attention and immediately drew me to comfort food, but clearly it was not comforting at all. Their staff were super helpful and friendly for our first time in...they explained their combo plates and special plate...and even let us sample their Mama Changs special chicken, but sadly the piece I tried was quite dry and bland. If they are going to sell their special Mama Changs chicken, you better bet it needs to own up to the hype since they recommended us to try it. We ordered a special plate for $8.50, included two entries and a as side and hubs ordered a combo t plate! PSA; the combo plates are made fresh and not served to you from the front (like mall food or Panda Express) but the special plate is where they serve you from the front of the house. Combo plate comes with an egg roll but the special plate does not...They offer different sauces to try with your food, and you're able to take it to the table with you. Silverware and such are all self serve...most if not all their food was quite bland for Chinese food, and the rice had no veggies! It was literally just rice...idk, it was just okay! It wasn't anything special..."
