Hot Spot Cajun Seafood House

Been waiting a while for this joint to open. Ya know I had to try the House special fried rice with a catfish fillet. Nice spot not loud but wasn't busy either. It says BYOBeer on the door. Unfortunately, I wasn't given a receipt but it cost me $19.20. The rice was fresh but 7 out of 10 for me plus it didn't have eggs. The fish was fresh and meaty, just needed more seasoning it's a 7 for me. I'll come back to try new things. Was it worth the dub?

I was excited to try out this new spot, but that didn't happen. They do not allow you to mix or make your own boiled combo. I wanted 1lb of crawfish and 1lb of mussels and was told a minimum of 2lbs of crawfish had to be ordered. I don't even know if your crawfish is that good to be ordering 2lbs off the bat. We ended up walking out and going down the road to Honore's.

There were only two young men working the floor on Sunday afternoon during crawfish season. So basically service was SLOW. The food was just okay. I think it was the seasoning on the shrimp I ordered, but everything tasted weird.

The food wasn't bad. Im just happy it's more options to eat in my area. I tried the fried fish basket. I will return

Meh. And yes, it was a bland as it looks. A blah bite of catfish and fries.This meal was a bit of a letdown. The fish itself was unremarkable - pretty bland and lacking the expected pop of flavor. Same goes for the Cajun fries. The promised kick of Cajun seasoning was barely a whisper. Overall, a meh experience. Not the worst I've had, but definitely forgettable.For catfish fans like myself, the batter was a major disappointment. I crave that classic cornmeal crust, but this was all limp flour with a sprinkle of cornmeal for show.On a brighter note, the crawfish and seafood bowls on the menu looked interesting. Maybe next time I'll give those a shot!

Need more variety of fish on menu, ie: fish sandwich and 2pc fish combo.Seemed like the server who seated me, forgot all about me because I wasn't ready to order right away?Then after flagging down someone to take my order, when the order came no knife and fork? There were only about three tables with diners and mine was one of them, so not crowded at all. Oh I had to buy a 3pc fish platter and it was very good.

I got the house fried rice with shrimp and crawfish. It was a three at best. The calamari and fried platter was just OK probably will not go back for that, but I think everyone should give it a try. If I go back, I will try the boiled seafood next time.

We went there tonight for my wife' dinner together with our daughter and her family. We were greeted at the door and received great service. The food was great: 6 lbs of crawfish, wings, fried rice, boudin balls, seafood egg rolls, fried catfish and shrimp and sausage. Prices were reasonable too. We will be back!

Food was very good and fresh. I enjoyed the fried catfish and the wings with fish sauce were very good. The boil was good too and I liked their sauce. Very kind staff. I plan to come back.

The oysters were frozen maybe the worst I ever had fried and the shrim fried rice was not much better very disappointed I didn't try anything else after that I asked the waitress if they were fresh she said they were they were not
