First off I would like to say I love going to Ponce. I like to do a run for a couple of miles on the beltline but today I decided to go and treat myself. Now I've been to hop's chicken, maybe two times and it's always delightful. However, this time was extremely pleasant. I believe I had come out of time with the chicken head just come out of the grease so it's fresh and crispy and the size had just finished being made everything was perfect . I had chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese and a sweet tea with two rolls. Everything was just right. I even bought more for later. The young man at the counter was pleasant. He described everything to me and even asked me if I wanted desserts. (The apple pie is probably the best apple pie on this earth. It has a cinnamon dust covering it and it is delicious.)This establishment is going to be in the positive market food court so it's a open concept however it is dimly lit at all times. However, the sun does peek through the windows and gives you a bit of sunlight. It's a nice date if you wanna try something different. 10/10 I would recommend this is some of the best chicken in Atlanta

Hop's Chicken is located in Ponce City Market. It's easy to locate within the food court area of the market. You do have to pay for parking at Ponce City Market. It is hourly rates available for review when you can see the posted QR codes. The service was great. The young lady at the counter was pleasant. I ordered a salad with two chicken tenders. I did alter the salad, which she said was no problem. She had the containers handy to show me the difference between a small and large salad. It took about 5 to 7 minutes for my order to come up. It was handed to me at the pickup window on the other side. I was offered free water while I waited. This was a nice gesture. The chicken tenders were cut into 4 to 5 pieces each. The Ceasars dressing I got was really good. I asked for the sweet bread and butter pickles to be removed. They were not. Good them I am not allergic. I just do not like sweet pickles. They were small, so hard to pick out the salad. The chicken was fried well but little seasoning. It's a food court, so the ambiance was giving mall food court vibes to me. Plenty places to sit and eat. I took my food to go as I was working the festival across the street. I was too busy to have the salad remade. It was a little pricey for the amount of food and for my order to be incorrect.I do not visit Ponce City Market often. With that in mind, I wouldn't eat here again with so many other options I have yet to explore. I would say check it out if there.

For a place that's in the "middle of the road" (figuratively speaking) you do get what you pay for decent southern fried chicken.I actually have no complaints with the baked and fluffy biscuits! Especially how the bite melts in your mouth as intended. My gripe does go to the chicken itself. While was able to hold me over after a long walk on the Eastside Beltline trail I wish the chicken had more breading and crispiness to the tender. You won't miss this spot as it's eye level as you walk in from the trail inside Ponce City Market.

IM EGG-HAUSTED! After walking around in the Georgia heat, on the BeltLine. We grew very hungry. Winded up walking back to Ponce City Market for a bite to eat. Fried chicken is a favorite for us so when we found Hop's Chicken it was a give in that we were going there. We both ordered the chicken biscuit and a side of coleslaw. The entire thing was thick. And piled high with chicken tenders. The biscuit was super dry. This was NOT your mother's biscuits. Imagine a Popeyes biscuit with the sandpaper texture... similar to that. You are going to need something to drink to wash the biscuit down with! If you like vinegar based coleslaw then the coleslaw at Hops will be right up your alley. I really liked it but my partner was not. Service was very fast and easy and the turn around between ordering and receiving our food wasn't too bad at all. I'd come back to Hops, but will definitely have a drink prepared for that biscuit.

Really disappointed in my choice today. I've had hops before, a few years ago and the experience was amazing! However, that wasn't what I encountered today. The chicken wasn't fresh, the livers seemed to be recooked, and the slaw was subpar at BEST!!!

Great fried chicken and the portion to price is not bad at all. Very affordable! Service was fast and my thigh was nice and juicy! My chicken breast was a little dry and the tenders as well. The biscuit was so good and the Mac n cheese was also very tasty. I could eat the biscuits all day! I did not care for the slaw as it was vinegar based. I am more of a mayonnaise slaw kinda guy!I would try it again I really enjoyed my chicken thigh!

This is a little fried chicken stand inside of Ponce city market. I had been wanting to try them for a while, so was excited about the opportunity last time I visited. The cashiers were nice and helped answer some questions for me. The food was decent. The biscuit was HUGE! Like two put together and had a good buttery taste. That might have been the best part for me. The Mac n cheese was good, the chicken was fine, and the coleslaw was fine. I didn't try the pepper. I know there's an inflated price due to the location, but I would have honestly preferred Popeyes. the food wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't anything to write home about.

I decided to give this place a try and got the chicken plate. For $10 I figured if I didn't like it it wasn't too much of a loss. The food was ready pretty much immediately and no wait in line. The cashier was kind and helpful. Chicken - 8/10 I'm not a fan of white meat but will still eat it. Very juicy and lots of meat. Not super hot - perhaps it wasn't under a heating lamp to keep hot.Mac and Cheese - 7/10 I prefer baked with a crispy top and this one was definitely on the creamy side. Literally felt like biting into a block of cream cheese. Not bad but not my preferred style. Also just warm and not hot.Coleslaw - I don't like coleslaw so I didn't try itBiscuit - 5/10 I have a thing against dry biscuits. Personally, I think biscuits are meant to be buttery, warm, soft inside and flaky outside. This one was not buttered, dry and slightly hard on the outside, but soft inside. It was only worth eating the very inside part where it was soft. Having butter brushed on the outside would make a huge difference. Not mad at it but I wanted something cheap and filling I'd probably come back.

More protein spot. The 5 chicken tenders with BBQ sauce. $12.51 The chicken tenders are big and really tender meat, moist too. The bbq sauce isn't bad, a hot sauce option would be better.

I can't figure this it why this place has such low reviews. I ordered one drumstick and got 2! It was delicious! Juicy, well seasoned and just good. Now this is all I tried bc I'm getting food from a few different places but I'm just really shocked the reviews are low
