Hoodadak

Restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. My boyfriend and I arrived on a Thursday night and it was pretty empty with plenty of seating. We ordered the 9pc wings (flavors:sweet n spicy & hot) and mozzarella bites. The mozzarella bites came with spicy ketchup and spicy mayo. The wings were hot and crispy.

Got the kimchi and bulgogi fries. The fries were very yummy. My kinda got plain tenders and fries along with a chicken sandwich and fries. Didn't get a pic of those items. My oldest did love the chicken sandwich. I was greeted upon entering the restaurant. My first time here and didn't know if we should order and have a seat. But when I asked the young lady behind the counter said we could have a seat and she would come and take our order. Very small restaurant. They sell beer and fountain drinks. They have a couple of booths that are covered on the left side as you enter. I would like to come back and try the sauced wings.

Great place for Korean fried chicken, amazing bulgogi fries, and great vibes. Always my go to spot. Get the spicy Mayo as a dip: you will not be disappointed.

Wow! Crispy, juicy, spicy, garlicky, and soyyy-ey! So much flavor!! Definitely recommend getting the chicken wings! They're so gooood!

Whew. This place has sadly gone a tad down hill. It really sad. I liked it here. My wife and I went here on 06/08/23 and man, they had issues and it was sad. The food was over spiced to the point where I'm pretty sure they were trying to cover up the taste of chicken with spices lol. Oh well. All of their tables are broken, so be weary that your drinks and food might tip over because if it. Our waiter didn't care to help us even though we tried multiple time to get his help worth the table issue. They had a powers issue that day and I guess it made them be out of all their sodas, and most of their beers. Which kind of sucked. Overall, the ambiance was lacking, but it matched the food and the drinks...lackluster. Sadly, I think they need a rework of a lot of their services here before it completely hurts them and they close.

I used to like this place a lot. But when I eat this place few times recently, I feel very bad. I ordered sweet and spicy chicken with radish. The chicken was little bit burn and dry, the radish tastes bitter and not crunchy at all like an old one. I don't like it. Hope the owner will see my post and fix it.

This place has some bomb chicken wings. As a family of 5 with kids we got a medium order of chicken wings, soy garlic and honey garlic flavors. My kids really enjoyed them and ate up everything. The skin is so crunchy and flavorful and the chicken is juicy. We also got steamed rice, coleslaw, radish and kimchee which all complimented the wings very nicely. Will definitely come back with my family!

Just coming backing from a two week trip in Korea, I was craving some good KFC. Some friends of mine have suggested trying Hoodadak and I've had them bookmarked for the longest time. I'm not from the Cinco ranch/Katy area, but I was out there for a quick errand and decided to do take out.I ordered the small popcorn chicken for $15, in which the online ordering description says it includes 2 flavors, 1 dip, and 1 side (I chose the radish). Writing this now, I realized that I never received a dip. Looked back at the online ordering website and the dips all had additional prices. This may be something they should fix...My popcorn chicken was overall fair. Good size for a small order, could be for 2-3 people depending on your hunger level. Most of the pieces were really dry and I was disappointed with that. I did appreciate enough flavoring though. I preferred the honey flavor over the soy garlic. Their soy garlic was just a little too salty for me.I saw that they offer pa-dak and sweet onion, which I got to try in Korea, but oh man it's selling for $18?! I miss it and I know I shouldn't compare it to prices in Korea, but the price really turned me off. Even the $15 popcorn chicken was a bit on the pricier side for me. Higher prices could be a combination of the pandemic and inflation. It's tough times!I will say my experience with online ordering was easy and the food was prepared sooner than expected. The employees were friendly at pick up. No complaints there. I just suggest fixing that one glitch with the dipping sauce on their website. Overall, fair experience, but may have to try again some other time and give their wings a chance. This may be me shooting my shot, but maybe in the future Hoodadak can make some bburinkle chicken. That chicken was so good in Korea. lol

Awesome every-time we order. The chicken is always hot we we receive it. The soy/garlic sauce is outstanding

This has been my go to place for several years but the quality of the Mason road location continues to go down. A year ago I would have given 5 stars and said it is hard to get a table because the place is so busy. Today the place is empty and tables are easy to come by. There was only one server on staff on my last visit and he had a certain arrogance that was off-putting and my first reaction was to leave but we stayed. There are signs all over the place talking about chimaek (fried chicken with beer) but there was limited beer. The taps weren't working and the bottled beer was limited to about 2 brands and 5 bottles. The chicken came out but it was cold. Crispy but cold. When I asked about it the kitchen reheated it so that it was hot but no longer crispy. They should have remade it properly but chose this path. It was clear to me that they have stopped trying and are doing the minimum to keep going. I'm afraid that this will only lead to their downfall. I hope they turn it around and find the passion they once had as my one time go to spot (2x a month) is now on a wait and see list and I will try to find a new place for my KFC fix.
