Honore's Cajun Cafe

Ordered to go--Gator bites (1/5)- tiny, more batter than meat, no flavor. --Fried catfish (1/5) - had a fishy taste to it--Okra (0/5) - huge, full of batter, no flavor--Boudin balls (2/5) - decent, but has chunks of meat. Not your average boudin.--Crawfish (3/5) - we ordered the garlic butter crawfish. The flavor was soaked in, not so much of the garlic butter but a good ole Cajun flavor. First time was good second time wasn't that great.Not my cup of tea after the second visit for crawfish.

Okay, this place has some interesting things such as margaritas, in slushy machines , different colors and flavors !You order your food at the counter, pay and then a server will deliver your food to the table you choose. This place does not have booths or any bar to speak of. The food does not disappoint. You must check this place out at least once but, I grew up in California and this place would just not make it out there.... but here in Manvel..?Great place for crawfish , I have been told but have never tried.‍Not a fan of fish. Great place for a very casual, large group and for kids of all ages. Don't forget to tip your server.

This was a first for me after seeing on social media decided to give it a try. The menu is not too overwhelming. I ordered some crawfish and boudin balls. I liked the boudin balls but the crawfish were bland and very tiny. They were 12.99 a pound which wasn't too bad. The boudin balls were 1.35 each during happy hour and they have drink specials as well. Happy hour is from 3-6pm. They have a nice sized dining area and patio. There's also a full bar. The service was awesome! Someone came by to check on us every 15 minutes. I'll be back to try an entree.

Always excellent food and very good service. Highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't already.

Our group went thru 30# of crawfish and a bucket of beer. Great food, beer was cold, couldn't ask for better service!

Good enough. But not the greatest. Tried the red beans and rice with sausage (bland but passable), hush puppies (very good and tasted fresh though prefer the ones where I can see the corn bits) and the infamous pistolette (I really enjoyed this). Great spot for a lunch date and seemed they had a lovely outdoor seating area with a covered patio.Very no frills. You order up front, pay, take a number and wait for your spoils. Final grade: C+Perhaps My rating would be higher if I'd gone with one of the seafood or crawfish boil options. Seems that's what this place is known for?

No complaints. Crawfish was the opposite of bland. One seasoning only but the spice level is perfect and the corn, and sausages were a 10/10 as well! The ambiance inside the place is also super chill and nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend. One of my favorite crawfish places now for sure

I drive past this place all the time! living in nola for last seven years has made me skeptical to try cajun foods outside of The big Ez area. i only went thru drive thru today. the service was good. kiddo was nice. i placed ordered at the window. there was a car behind me so i did a loop knowing my food may take some time so person behind me can order. I only ordered the side of onion rings (i wanted the appetizer portion but i think the kiddo didn't hear me) Good hand battered onion rings...luckily i already had wingstop ranch at home to dip the rings in. wish i had the comeback sauce for it.i was also curious about pepperjack boudin balls. some places dont put enough cheese but Honore did. i'm glad about that. The balls aren't as crispy as the ones in Scott, LA but it can satisfy my cravings. also i wish the sauce was not missing from the order. ambiance is normal i guess for a drive thru. plenty of parking spaces tho the lot is a bit rough. i hope they have happy hour still so i can order more balls later. i wanted to try the oysters alone and not the platter bc i don't want fries, hushpuppies or coleslaw. that's just too much carbs lol. i want the protein! i will try again next time.

Great service and great food. We had the grilled catfish entree and crawfish etouffee with a side of onion rings. Everything was delicious and the fish was grilled to perfection.

Crawfish was seasoned very well. The shrimp po boy, not so tasty. I would definitely go back for the crawfish.
